If a diety created all that is... "Tempting...very tempting...but we don't want to disturb everyone too much, eh?...maybe we'll only toss a bit of it around..." he thought as had a perfect mental image. light it and Bounce it.. or maybe a bit of Glue...yes....bouncing stinkbombs of incense...perfect... "Yes, that sounds good, lead on Evelyn..." he said as he followed her on her course toward the Sanctuary....wouldn't all writers be dieties of their own worlds? -Xeiashi Zakariz(bah...short crap post is short and crappy)

"Being chased by a mob of pitchfork-wielding humans chanting 'Burn the drow, burn the drow, burn the drow...'"
The door opened and Jessie stepped inside, closing it again to its unhappy melody. Hmm. That was rather annoying, wasn't it? As Coline was busy stacking up the boxes, he opened and closed the door several more times - testing the hinges, which continuously creaked upon reaching a certain angle.
"Needs oiling," he mumbled, shutting it one last time, "I can bring some out next time."
He turned back towards his lovely Coline... who was still tidying away, completely ignoring his presence. That was strange. Not that he expected her to constantly train her attention on him - it was just strange.
Well, it didn't matter. She could still hear him, even if she wasn't looking in his direction. So, with a small sigh, he took a few meek steps towards her, deciding to bite the bullet. "Coline... before we start opening your presents, I... think we need to talk about what happened last week. If you're comfortable about it, that is."
...
She was still ignoring him. Concerned - perhaps overly so - he crossed the last of the distance between them and placed a warm hand on the small of her back. "Coline? Are you alright?"
"...Puts most other things that have happened in your life into a kind of perspective." (( The over-concern is perhaps a subconscious feeling of unease left over from the dreams he had while asleep a little while ago. I've written the dream sequence, but have yet to post it up because I'm having trouble coming to terms with how very personal it is to him. LULZ UBERSTRONG CONNECTION WITH MY CHARACTER??? Anyway, yeah. On a lighter note... as Jessie is a man I figure he gets random urges to fix things now and then. xD ))

She had hoped he wouldn't bring it up, not now of all times. The dark room, the gifts, the fact that they were alone... it replicated that time far too well. Now all there was left was for him to tou--
Coline's body stiffened, hand frozen halfway through placing another box upon the stack. But the concern in his voice was enough to calm her nerves. With a small sigh she set the box atop many others, her stance relaxing. "...I'm fine." she answered wearily.
There was an unsettling silence that permeated the room as she went about her task, but finally, after an eternity of quiet contemplation, she spoke again. "What was it you wanted to talk about?"

"Just let me give you everything, as I desire..." The long silence only worried him more, of course. But what could he do? If she said she was fine, she obviously didn't need him to press her about it... as blatantly obvious as it might have been that she was not fine.
He watched her go about her chore feeling rather like a wounded dog. He had no right to, being the one at fault, and so tried to ignore the niggling hurt at her cold dismissal. Eventually, when she asked for him to speak, he realised with a jolt that he could've been using that time to plan whatever it was he was going to say. Damn. His emotions were always so blinding around her!
She obviously wasn't comfortable discussing the issue with him, but that couldn't be helped. Hopefully, once she'd heard what he had to say, the discomfort would lift itself from her shoulders. He drew in his breath.
"I need you to know that it was never my intention to behave so disgustingly. I don't think of you in that way, little one - or at least, I didn't. Not until you... brought it up."
Oh, dear. Quite an unfortunate pun. He had to hope she wouldn't notice it...
"It... represents something of a unique moment in my life, what happened. I don't believe I've ever lost my control so horrendously... at all, even."
Well, while sober, anyway...
"I understand if your trust in me has been irreparably damaged, but you must believe me when I say that I wouldn't dream of dishonouring a woman in such a monstrous way. Any woman - let alone you."
'The truth shall set you free!' Why do humans have such nicer proverbs than his kind? The Captain's voice became softer; more tender.
"You must realise by now how very precious you are to me."
His heart had been in his throat during every sparring session that week.
"I - Coline, please look at me," he begged, "Do you understand what I'm trying to tell you, my love? Do you believe in me?"
"...And believe me when I say that I love you."

Gwarn’s plea floated across the distance separating them and bounced around in her head for a bit before it finally settled in. Stop?? At first she was a mix of confused hurt, Why would he reject me!, came to her irrational mind next. It had been so ingrained in her by her trainers that “You give of yourself till there is nothing more to give. You were born for the sole purpose of serving others.” that she could not even comprehend otherwise in her weakened state. She frantically felt down the line of magic that currently connected them and was met, not with rejection of her energies, but with acceptance tinged with concern. Gwarn was stabilized and wanted her to heal also. Even though it went against all of her former training, she pulled her energy back into herself and slowly started to build patterns for it to run through that would begin the process of healing her raw magical centers. With a sigh of relief she slipped into a more controlled trance state.

Do I control the blades in my hands? It wasn't long before a relief guard came. Under the guise of taking a bathroom break, storm left the makeshift infirmary for an few minutes. It was a short distance out of the basement rooms, and into the open air. The storm Still raged, but the light of the dying sun hsone through, coveing everything in a cool gray, and the cool fresh air caressed him. It was nights like these that he lived for. The low clouds flew, the grass wet beneath his feet. And with that, he disappeared in a puff of acrid, sulphuric smoke. ~~ He returned to that hideous, hidden fold of the abyss. Cespenar greeted him warmly with his high pitched voice, and Sarevok was off, staring at one of the more horrid reliefs in the bone pillars. Everything was as it should be, he finally found, and turned to leave, his cursory check over. "MASTER!" came the voice, and Storm turned to see Cespenar, his eyes wide and watery. He didn't want to stay here, and Storm would never really wish it on him. "I know, little demon. I know you want to come with me, but there is no way that the order would accept you in the form you are," He knew it was harsh, his words scathing, but they needed to be said. "Perhaps, if there was some way you could change into something... more conformist, they would not know any better." Then the idea returned. Perhaps, if Cespenar was to change for into a dog or a cat, they wouldn't even need to know. Besides, he needed some way to bring up Sarevok and the pocket plane to Lorika. and that would undoubtedly bring attention to his divine lineage. So it was, he thought. He would turn Cespenar into a familiar, and ease the priestess into the ideas and truths about him. "Cespenar," he said, kneeling infront of the creature. "I will bring you with me after I have changed you. Is that alright?" The imp nodded, a broad smile now in the place of its pout only moments before. "I CAN DO THAT MYSELF, MASTER!" the demon said with glee. And really, a creature in the employ of a god of murder should be expected to know how to change it's own shape when it's prime duties were cleaning and creating items. It was a deplorable process, watching the little creature change shape. Storm heard every bone snap, every whimper from the creature, all the sounds of pain. Every wince on the thing's face was evident, the wings melding into his back, the arms shortening, his shoulders forcing them down. Then his face started to change. his small fangs extended, his teeth growing and mouth turning into a snout. A gray, hairless, scaled dog stood infront of him, ears floppy and mouth slobbering. The hair grew from that, painlessly, for which Storm was relieved to see. Sadly, his horns had not disappeared in the process, and now there was a dog, with thick white and black fur, red eyes and small horns protruding from his skull. Oh joy. The creature to a jump at him, and in a stunned moment, he almost didn't catch the now fully transformed Cespenar. "Shall we be off then?" Storm Said, a broad smile on his face, to the sharp barking reply. "Alright then." And just like that, they were back outside the Order, in the cool night air, the smell of rain running through their senses. Back to the infirmary then.
Or do they control me?

☼ "I come from the North, where there is no autumn..."
She may love her snow, but Meta loved a good, hot, steamy bath just as much, if not more.
Passing Feline on her way out, she waved inbetween her vest armholes. Shrugging of the rest of her clothes, she quite nearly flew into the bath. A few disgruntled acolytes nearby gave her the fisheye. She just stuck her tongue out at them.
Leaning back in the water, she sighed in contentment as she watched a few strands of fur float around her. Oops, time for a brushing again.
Resting her head on a nearby stone, she soon fell into a light doze.
☼
"MS. COOK! THERE'S SOMETHING I HAVE TO TELL YOOOOOOUUU!"
The screaming acolyte fell into the water straight in front of her. "God, kids these days," Sighed Meta, sleepy from her warm nap, "can't even look where they're going."
She reached into the water with one hand and grabbed the sputtering acolyte by the scruff of the neck. "What's your name, boy?" He stuttered for a moment, blushing bright red. "A-a-a... Aaron, ma'am." "Well now, A-a-a-Aaron, what was so damn important that you had to wake me up after this much work today, eh?" He stuttered a bit more, then said, "Ah, ma'am, s-s-s-somebody found a feline g-g-g-guy on the shore. He m-m-m-matches your description..."
Meta, in her haste to exit the pool, dropped him on his head.
☼
Damn, the rain was still going. Now instead of being warm and wet, she was cold and wetter, now with some clothing on! She wiped her hair out of her eyes, groaning. How far WAS the damn Infirmary from the Bathhouse?
She flung the door open to the hallway, and ran smack into a tall, red-brown haired man.
BOOM! They both fell to the ground.
☼
"...Where the cold crouches over you like a snow leopard waiting to pounce." ☼

A few hours later, Alexi woke up to find Total next to her, still sleeping. She then noticed all the dirt around the room. "Aw, Total," she said, sighing. "What a mess. You need to learn to watch yourself." After cleaning up the mess, she decided to walk around a little more. Not wanting to wake her little plant friend, she picked him up and placed him in a corner of the room so he wouldn't be in the walkway. She put her cape and oven mitts next to him in a neat pile; she was inside, she wouldn't be needing them. Alexi took off her cap and shook her hair out. Setting it next to her folded cape and oven mitts, she decided to head out and explore some more. The girl walked out of the room carrying her violin case on her back.

[Fiend]
Food... must find food...
Weaving through trees and foliage, Fiend followed the smell of food to a building.
Food...
His eyes darting from side to side, he ran on all fours, jumping and sliding into the kitchen via the window. Avoiding sight, he continued to dart about before he dived into the open pantry as an acolyte left it and turned around for a moment.
"Hey, did you see that?" "See what?" "... Uhh... never mind. Must be my imagination."
[Dorothy]
Getting off as the ship docked, Dorothy took a deep whiff of the sea air. She dug out a newspaper article from her pocket and read it.
'Sudden disappearance of food! Cause unknown!
...... sightings of a black figure darting at extreme speeds have been reported. Could this be a new animal species feeding off our food supply? Citizens are to be warned, money offered to people who bring in sharp photos of the criminal.'
I hope this is the right place this time...
She began walking up the path, in the direction of a huge building.

Do I control the blades in my hands? The feelings of the cold rain and dark night washed over him in a strong and blanketing wind, but it was not unwelcome. He wanted The newly-puppy Cespenar to experience the outside world, away from that hellish place. Sarevok could Rot, however, for all Storm cared. He killed everyone he had known, had loved. His house had crumbled around him in the yellow gaze. The mightiest Warrior of the sword coast had fallen to his blade. Storm's father, had died at the end of it.... But a few seconds of materialization and another sudden force struck him, and the fell to the ground. The impact sent him sprawling, His precious cargo still tucked in to his side, safe from the fall. "W-what was that?" He said, sitting up on the wet ground. His armor and clothe were for the main part water resistant, so he really didn't feel the cold or the wet as bad as others would. He saw the kitchen mistress, a curious, white creature, sprawled out infront of him. "He got up, chivalry taking hold. Walking a few steps he knelt at her side, offering his hand to the dazed girl. "Miss," He said, his eyes finding hers. She was more than pretty, one would say, but surely Storm had enough on the go right now... Didn't he? "May I?" his soft tone falling like a soft blanket.
Or do they control me?

Coline took everything in with great scrutiny. Just how much of what he said was true? She turned slowly to face him, just as he requested, but her eyes did not meet his. Not after what she was about to do.
Boldly, she stepped towards Jessie until there was no longer any distance between them, pressing her body firmly against his. She took both of his hands, guiding them along her back. One hand crept lower and lower, trailing along well-defined curves, up until the point where it felt far from comfortable; the other traveled up only to halt upon the feel of the clasps of her bra beneath their fingers.
Her lids lowered and she stilled. She might have possibly paved the way to her own doom, but she needed to know...
