"That night?" he remembered. "You had every right to be disgusted with me. I'll never blame you for that. But I can still see you on that rock, just leaning forward--" Damian had to stop himself there. To keep those memories at bay, he held her so close to him that he swore he felt her heart beat against his own.
"That was what frightened me more than anything I have ever experienced. I know you are happy... and I want to keep you that way. Forever."

Raquel just held him equally as tight. She buried her head into his chest as she felt herself choke up a little. "...I'm also sorry that I almsot left you just weeks ago...I wasn't thinking, and I'd never do it Damian. I Swear..." She cried muffled into his shirt. "I dont want to hurt you anymore...I want to make you happy. Forever...."

He shushed her until they were both quiet in the kitchen. He could hear the buzz of the contraptions hidden behind walls, and the constant hum of electricity coursing through the appliances. It was a miracle his electric bill wasn't for the power of the city itself with everything he had running.
"We have nothing to worry about now. Just a wedding and finding a home and all that. Small things compared to what we've been through, yes?" He laughed in an effort to lighten the mood.

Raquel laughed, her throat catching as she dried her tears up, smiling at him. She nodded softly, wiping her eyes. "Right...of course..." She sniffled, looking up at him with erh soft green eyes.
She let a quiet moment set in again as she just looked at him, even finding herself straightening up his shirt and fixing his hair. "I am looking forward to seeing you in a tux again..." She smiled brightly, though in a soft, loving way as she smoothed his hair out and into place for him.

"It's been ages, hasn't it?"
Not exactly, but he had been taking to wearing street clothes more and more often. The suit was a part of his identity, he felt, while dealing with the business world and parties. But he hadn't been directly involved with his trades, and hadn't been going to parties ever since...
Well, he couldn't think of that.
"I'll buy you a new dress for the wedding, if Lorey doesn't have something planned. Alright?"

"I dont even know what to look for..." She shrugged, embarassed. "Maybe I'll get some ideas if I get to go look with Lorey later..." She shrugged thoughtfully, cocking her head.
Thr thought of a wedding made her nervous but in a good way. "Will it be beautiful?" She asked distantly, more to herself than to Damian, hr eyes a happy bright green as she smiled to her.

"Will ours be beautiful?" Damian asked with a slight confusion. "Ours will be whatever you want it to be. Of course, I'll have my say as well. Remember, you're marrying Damian Centurion, who always makes his events memorable."
He gave her a wink and a peck on the cheek before hobbling over to get himself more coffee.

"We dont have to go over the top or anything. I never thought I'd be in a wedding, let alone have one..." She answered honestly as she came up behind him, stealing his cup to take a sip, smiling as she held it from his grasp.

Lorey's eyes opened a little. They'd fallen asleep again in each other's arms. That was a dream come true, to wake up this way more than once.
She curled up a little tighter and listened to Richard's breathing. He needed his sleep, so she wouldn't wake him or move much for fear of waking him that way. this peace could stay as long as it liked.
Back in the kitchen, Damian reached or his cup again.
"You may have whatever your heart desires. But only if I may have my source of energy back from your lovely hand."
Once again he reached or it, and had it not been filled with hot liquid, he would have tickled it from her.

Richard's eyelids flickered in his sleep a a soft smile played on his lips. Whatever he was dreaming, it was pleasant and comforting. He unconsciously held Lorey a little tighter, just nuzzling into her as his dream continued on.
Raquel giggled, taking one last small sip, before handing it back to him. "I keep telling you. I've already gotten what my heart desires. What am I to do now?" She asked, slipping her arms about his waist.

Lorey felt the slight shift of his grip and wondered what caused it. He didn't seem distressed... so she only smiled slightly. Being a comfort to someone was a very nice change from all those years of being unappreciated.
"You are to go crazy!" he said, quite simply. "Stop being content, be a spoiled child for once!" But Damian had to relent from his game and turn to her with a begging smile.
"Actually, please don't. I've met too many woman who are discontent when they have everything, and you are a beloved change."

Richard finally sighed, opening his eyes slightly to find Lorey so close to him. "Oh- I'm sorry..." He mumbled sleepily as she stretched a little in his position. "Was i squishing you?" He asked, always having a terrible fear of hurting Lorey since he was so much larger than she was.
Raquel smiled, shaking her head as she sat herself up on the counter. "I absolutely adore you, you know that?" She asked with another hake of her head, as if it were absolutely ridiculous to her how much she loved him.

"No," Lorey said in a soft laugh. "I kinda like being squished. Makes me feel like I can't go anywhere and nothing can get me anyhow." It came from years spent in her apartment room where the world seemed to press in, and all she wanted was someone to help in protecting her.
Damian had to sit down in his chair once more to ease the pain he had in his leg. He was fine, but recovery was still going to take just awhile more.
As she sat there upon the counter, he looked at her face, her shoulders, her legs. All that he knew and all that he thought made her beautiful on the outside. He was thankful to have found someone like her who could put up with his shortcomings and also have the same wants as him. It was becoming more and more evident that they were addicted to each other.
"And I you."

Richard smiled. "I'm glad I have that effect love...Really I am..." He cooed into her as he kissed her softly. "Though...what time is it? How long have we been out?" He asked with a slight chuckle.
Raquel just smiled, letting a small silence take over as she looked up at him. She loved how he just seemed fascinated with her sometimes. It made her blush and feel special. She said nothing for another little while, liking the silent little moments between the two occasionally. It was proof they didn't have to kiss or speak or even touch to tell the other how much they cared. It was in their eyes.

"I dunno." And Lorey didn't really care. She yawned and bumped her head against his chest as they woke up slowly from their sleep. It was alright, this lazing about.
"Maybe... two? I'm not sure. Look at the clock and tell me if I'm right."
"Am I making you nervous?" he asked with a cheshire cat grin. "You're blushing on your throne."
Damian stood from his chair with his cane's help. It looked dashing, and had it's purpose. "Can I not look at you?"
