HOST, LOCATION, & TRAVEL
Well, California would be great, but I doubt we'll be able to find a host. My place is just a backup. Cage said she's out.

Leaving Michigan and Minnesoter. We've had it in Minnesota before, but we could do that again, if you Minnenites want to host again. Michigan would be new and fun, but my only concern is reliability. Try not to take this personally Mittenites, but you guys aren't exactly known for follow-through. Which is one thing when you're guests, but if you change your mind at the last minute and say you can no longer host, that's an unfair weight on whoever has to take over for you.
So I guess it's mostly up to the potential hosts now.
- Minnesota, do you guys have anyone who wants to host?
- Michigan, can you be sure that you won't back out, at the last minute?

As far as getting there...
FOR MINNESOTA:
Eastern and southern Xenites could congregate in northern Illinois, by whatever means. Then we could all travel together, either by bus, train, or car, to Minnesota.
FOR MICHIGAN:
The Minnesota people could go through the upper peninsula, but it would probably take a few hours less, to go through Illinois. So again, we could meet up in Chicago, then head to Lansing. Which would probably be easier on you guys anyways, since it'd be about a 12-14 hour straight trip. You could spend the night here in Chicago, to break up the drive. For the southern Xenites, it would take an hour or so more, to stop by Chicago, on the way to Michigan. In the face of the entire trip, an hour is pretty insignificant. So it'd be up to you guys. Either you could go straight to Michigan or you could add an hour to the trip, in order to spend the last several hours, with the rest of the guildees.


DATE
The initial time frame usually considered is mid-June to mid-August. Here's a full list of potential dates.
June 16-20
June 23-27
June 30-Jul 4
July 7-11
July 14-18
July 21-25
July 28-Aug 1
August 4-8
August 12-15
August would be awfully hot and due to late planning, June would probably be a little too soon. The first weekend of July wouldn't work, because I'd imagine most of us will have plans for the 4th of July. So I'd recommend the 7th to the 25th, as the time frame to aim for. If anyone already has anything major planned (like a vacation or something) let me know when. We want to be able to include as many people as possible, so we'll work around everyone's schedule.
We'll also need to figure out whether we want a Thursday to Sunday con or a Friday to Monday con. But that will come after we've chosen a date and location.

OTHER CRUD
- Head count. Who might be coming this year?
- Theme. What's it going to be?
- Activities. Anyone with ideas?
- Grub. Let's start listing yummy Greek foods and go from there.
- Prizes. I'll cover it again this year, but any donations would be greatly appreciated.=)

As for the head count over here, I'll definitely be there. I'd imagine Arkie will, as well. But my sister is usually crazy busy, so it's unlikely that she'd be able to come. And I might have two more friends, turning into xenites. whee
