"Like I said before, I've been better." Mike responded, unaware of Flannery's worrisome tone. "But since those too bolted my headaches going away. And that thing you're doing with my hair feels nice." The boy felt a tingle shoot up his spine and gave a pleasurable groan, lifting his chin in the air like a Growlithe being scratched behind the ears. He purred slightly before Flannery's tapping snapped him back to reality. "Uh, er, sure!" he said hurriedly, still a bit out of it. "I don't see why not." Who knows, maybe he could spark an evolution out of the little tyke today. After all, he'd been growing quite a bit recently, so much so that it was almost hard to carry him around like when he was a baby. But the thought of Napalm evolving into a powerful, loyal and faithful Magmar like his idol Blaine's, oh that would be sweet. He had seen recorded Blaine's matches whenever he could, and watched them until the tapes broke. He knew all of his Pokemon, favorite strategies, and even some of his mannerisms had rubbed off on the boy. When he was younger, he'd always find himself placing a finger on his nose to adjust his glasses just like Blaine did. Funny thing was, unlike the Gym Leader, Mike had no glasses.

"A powerful Magmar..." said the boy in a distant voice. "Yeah, let's do it!" he cheered, calling over his Pokemon. "C'mere Napalm, it's training time!"

Already? But he had just sat down. The Magby looked at the Torkoal and shrugged, it seemed he was needed once again. He waddled over to Mike's side and looked up at him with curious eyes.

"We're going to train against some of Flannery's Pokemon, Napalm." Mike said to the little Magby. "This is all for you, so she's going to go a little easy on you, but that doesn't mean you can get sloppy. Her Pokemon are much tougher than you, so you gotta be quick!" Most Pokemon of the Magby's age would be intimidated by the thought of battling Pokemon far out of their league, even if it was just an exercise, but Napalm was different. He knew from listening to Mike prattle on about the red headed girl that she was tough; even tougher than him he said! And if she was tougher than him, then she would have to have Pokemon stronger than Nitro, or Portabello! He didn't know there were stronger Pokemon than his big brothers. They very thought perplexed him. Napalm was very curious to see what was so different about this Flannery's Pokemon that made her so formidable. He'd have to pay attention to them during the fight.

"Whenever you're ready love." said Mike, cracking his neck.

Live it up? Most of her time was spent training for the future, which she was perfectly content with, but something told her that if she mentioned this to Sasha, her friend would probably go on a rant about how that 'wasn't living it up' or some such. "Ja, I remember. Maybe I'll show you a few things tonight. It would help to burn off lunch."

Keeping a hold on Sasha's hand Kirsa toddled along after her, silently withdrawing a Pokeball and recalling Hans with her free hand - she wasn't sure if Pokemon were allowed to be out in the museum. Probably not, since there was a chance that they would break things. Ah well. The Houndour probably wasn't interested in anything to do with the ocean anyways.

Once the guard stopped them Kirsa looked back and forth between her friend and the guard, almost like she was watching a tennis match. Blinking a bit when she was pointed at, the cadet was about to offer to let Sasha borrow a shirt, since she had her bag with her and all; surely one of her night shirts would fit the taller girl. Apparently it wasn't needed, however. Looking between the two of them one more time, Kirsa nodded and then moved to follow the pink haired girl.

"So...your family owns this place, then?"

Robin finished the email and smiled before sliding the phone shut and sticking it back in her pocket. It was good to hear from the professor, she had been sure he had forgotten about her. She hadn't forgotten about him though, he had been one of the main things to inspire her to be into pokemon. Before she had seen him come talk at her school she had just been the loner kid who hadn't been interested in anything. After she had seen how determined and animated he was when he talked about pokemon Robin had been interested. Soon she became the loner kid who loved pokemon and wanted to become a trainer someday. Looking around she saw Jaeshan and Luffy at the window looking out at some sort of battle that was going on. "Hey sorry about that." She said as she approached the two. She watched in amusement as Luffy crawled all over Jaeshan's shoulder to turn to face her and give her a huge grin. There was a cool battle going on outside and he wanted to watch!

Ampersand just grinned at Ann's request. "Well Missy, you should know that I happen to be an excellent shot." He allowed himself to be dragged to one of the stands that had an Ursaring plush that she wanted. It turned out that Ampersand was not bragging, he was indeed an excellent shot. Of course he usually used a gun that would do actual damage if it hit you but the principle was still the same. Soon enough he had a huge Ursaring plush and a very proud grin on his face. The shop owner behind him was giving him an odd look, usually people were terrible shots so he hadn't expected the man to actually win anything. "Told you I was good."

Kilik sighed heavily. He had wanted to use Sandstorm with his Aggron, but it would have been totally useless considering neither Pokemon would have gained any ground to it. Yet since Weezing was now his active Pokemon, Ada had a way to deal damage to him despite not physically attacking him. The boy laughed and clapped a bit, not letting it get the best of him. "Okay, okay. I see how it's gonna be," Kilik shook his head, "Looks like I'll have to go for the damage, now. Sludge attack, Weezing!" He wished that he knew Sludge Bomb by now, but that would have to wait for a little while.

The Gas Pokemon hovered in the sand a little bit, feeling the sharp grains cut against his thick skin. It didn't hurt very much, thanks to his high defenses, but the nerve of that little booger! He took a big gulp of air and then shot blasts of purple gunk out of every single hole of his body. Surely one of them was going to hit. Weezing entertained himself by firing a few more up into the air and then swallowing them on their return trip down, but frowned when he tasted them with sand. How gross.

Pelipper let out a loud SCRAWWK and fell to the ground in a crumpled heap. Cable laughed heartily. Oh boy, that sure showed that big bird! As he started to walk away, however, he felt a jet of water splash against his back. The cowardly bird had used Water Gun with his back turned! The plug clenched his fist and turned around, throwing a punch. He didn't hit anything, but a spray of electricity burst out in a Thundershock, zapping the Pelipper once more.

"Mmhm!" replied Sasha, still holding tightly onto Kirsa's hand. "I used to come here all the time when I was younger, and I still visit every once and a while. I really like messing with the new greeters." she giggled as she though of the man's terror-filled face when he found out just who she was. "I bet he thinks he's in trouble." He had nothing to worry about. The managers were friends of the family, and were aware of little miss Jennings penchant for the dramatic. Any employee unlucky enough to cross Sasha in full swing was granted an extra few days vacation in secret as a means of an apology from the higher-ups.

The pink haired girl eyed the displays with great interest. "I always liked the sea. Family cruises were always my favorite. If I behaved, my dad would dock the yacht and let me go wind surfing." she recalled the memory with a longing sigh. She remembered doing her first flip, which ended in her first major wipe out. Man, she could kill to go wind surfing again. Now that she thought about it, her parents were always good to her. They tried not to spoil her, but Sasha was their only daughter. Being filthy rich and an only child are the perfect prerequisites for being showered with presents. Surprisingly though, Sasha never developed into the traditional greedy rich brat. Sure, she had her material wants every once and a while, but every girl wanted a Ponyta when they were little, so that's not really her fault. She just accepted her many presents with as many "Thank you daddy"s and "Thank you mommy."s as needed.

"So what about you Kirsa, you into boats at all?" Inquired the girl as she looked at all the model replicas of famous cruise ships, including the famous S.S. Anne. "I'm guessing you have a soft spot for aircraft carriers." Sasha said with a playful wink, poking a bit of fun at her purple haired friend.

After the Shuugo family had dinner and put their littlest Kana to bed, there was not much else Jun could do but leave. It'd be the first time he had a proper farewell with his folks, since for the last ten or more years of his life his excursions had not been announced (a pretty little euphanism for his running away all the time). The young man was also more or less aware that he was sincerely starting his life now, having gained his father's blessing and having turned legal a couple weeks back. Sure, he'd be hiding his last name, but it hardly bothered him now that he thought of it. Now he'd be really starting anew. Well, kinda, considering he wasn't exactly poor or anything with all the fashion designing he did here and there.

The farewell was pretty brief, since no one (except for Jun) in the family was very sentimental. Maylene clocked him, his father patted him on the shoulder a little too roughly, and that was that. Lucario, his childhood sparring partner, gazed not-too-coldly at him; their connection had long faded, his allegiance totally Maylene's now. For the better. "You better take care of everyone, and don't you dare lose too much," he whispered to the Pokemon, assuming that Maylene would become the full-time Gym Leader now. She was far, far more capable than Jun had ever been anyways, especially in Pokemon battling. In response, Lucario merely looked at him as if to say 'Who the hell are you to talk, you flimsy weakling!'

With that, Jun hopped into Jenny's patrol car -- much to his father's amusement -- with Lee in shotgun, Rosaline already sleeping peacefully in her Pokeball. She needed her beauty sleep, of course. In typical Asian driver style, he veered off into the horizon unevenly, lights on top flashing (since he had no idea how to turn on the headlights of these strange cars).

It was halfway back that the event happened. Jun, somewhat distracted by fixing his glasses and hair in the rear-view mirror as well as by the Vanessa Carlton song screeching through the radio, was obviously not very much paying attention to where he was going. Plus, it was getting rather dark, and without headlights he really couldn't do too much but hope that the obnoxious siren would frighten whatever was in the way, out of the way. It was Leeron who screamed at him to stop, and with lightning reflexes Jun stomped on the brake, causing the car to spin and hit ... something. Not too hard, thanks to Jun's quick stopping skills, but it was definitely a bulls-eye. The airbag exploded in their faces, much to Jun's indignant while. "Dumbass car, I'm fine, can't you see?" he wailed, flailing his arms to get the airbag out of the way, practically falling out of the door in the process.

"Damn, if there's a dent, I'm gonna have to sneak out of Jenny's place tonight," Jun hissed, that being his misplaced priority (after fixing his glasses, of course). He then realized, however, that whatever he hit just might be in a worse condition than himself. Probably. So, bringing himself upright, he saw a rather bent bike and a black-clothed figure on the ground. Moving, thank goodness, sitting up. No blood or anything. But why the hell would something, in all black, be riding a bicycle on this lonely route after sundown? Sus-piiiiii-cious! Jun readied himself with the mace he kept in his bag (naturally opting for this rather than his dormant skill in martial arts), creeping up to the fellow.

"Uhh, you alright there?"

Wordlessly Flannery watched Napalm waddle over and stand in front of Mike, and she beckoned towards her Torkoal, figuring him to be the perfect opponent for the young Magby. Torkoal was an excellent defensive Pokemon, and Flannery intended to let Napalm have a good go at the fiery tortoise. "Okay Torkoal, start off with Amnesia," she said, nodding towards the Fire-type. Torkoal's resistance to Special Attacks wasn't as brilliant as it was for the physical side so she wanted to ensure Torkoal would endure the Magby's attacks (though she was more than certain that her most experienced partner could handle it). The tortoise looked up at the sky and closed his eyes, temporarily forgetting about something in order to acquire the desired statistical boost. His body seemed to glow with a curious green shimmer for a moment and then it faded. Despite his momentary forgetfulness Torkoal seemed to be really proud of himself and Flannery laughed out loud - Torkoal always was such a jolly Pokemon to have around, despite his tendency to accidentally burn her stuff.

Jaeshan turned back towards Robin as she had finished up whatever it was she had been doing, and he lazily stuck a hand in his pocket and tapped his sandal against the linoleum of the Pokemon Center floor in order to remove some of the trapped sand out of it. "Everything okay?" he asked, well aware of the fidgety Aipom up on his shoulders. Luffy seemed to be quite interested in the battle and Jaeshan inclined his head towards the front doors. "Shall we go watch?" he asked, swatting away Luffy's tail as it nearly smacked him in the face due to the Pokemon's excitement. "Or we could always just find a spot and maybe do a little bit of training or something. Luffy seems to be pretty strong, and I bet we haven't even seen his full potential yet."

Wearing an incredibly amused (and impressed, for that matter) grin, Ann could only watch as Ampersand showed the owner of the shooting gallery what a real marksman was. "Glad to see you haven't gotten rusty," she replied with a laugh, taking the ridiculously large Pokemon plush in her arms and giving it a once-over. For a carnival prize it was well made, with the fur being soft to the touch and very cuddly indeed. Ann suspected that if it were set up well enough, this Ursaring plush could probably scare the daylights out of someone who didn't know any better. "Thank you, Amp," she said, hugging the bear in a somewhat awkward manner. The thing about over-sized Pokemon plushies was that while they were great to hug and all that, they were very burdensome to carry around, since they couldn't exactly be put into Pokeballs. Ann was just trying to figure out how she'd cart the plush around when she spotted an adorable little boy staring up at her, his skin the colour of smooth chocolate and with bright eyes to match. His dark hair was done up in dreadlocks and immediately Ann understood the longing look in the kiddo's eyes. "Here you go, Sweetheart," she said, handing the bear to the boy, who accepted it with wide eyes. "Take good care of him, y'hear?"

"Wow, thank you, Miss!" he said, hugging the plush happily. "I will, thanks!" Ann smiled as she watched the youngster run back to his parents, who gave her an appreciative smile and a wave.

Ann returned the wave before looking back to Ampersand. "Kids are cute," she said, watching the small family walk away. "So how about that Ferris Wheel ride?"

Kasiya found herself to be smiling and laughing quite a bit during the course of this battle, and Kilik seemed to be enjoying it as well. Maybe he isn't underestimating me? she thought, watching as Weezing took a bit of damage from the cutting sands. "...that's an interesting way to use Sludge," Kasiya remarked quietly, looking to her Pokemon. "C'mon Ada, you can avoid it! Use the rocks you called up as shelter!" Panting heavily the poisoned Pokemon looked up in time to see a rain of sludge heading her way, and she quickly dashed forward, taking cover under the overhang of the largest rock that Weezing had avoided. The sludge hit the sand hard, sending globs of gritty goo flying in all directions. Ada couldn't avoid those and she cried out from a mixture of the poison, the stinging sludge on her skin and sheer frustration.

The Larvitar shot her trainer a glare from over her shoulder, fully aware of what the girl was trying to do. Tears stung in her eyes and she let out a scream of fury, both of her fists glowing a bright white before she slammed them both into the rock. The impact caused the rock to split a little, and the small Pokemon took several steps back in annoyance. The rock should have broken completely! She looked back at Kasiya again, completely forgetting that she was supposed to be battling with Weezing and let out another furious cry. "Ada, it's all right!" Kasiya called out, worry beginning to rise in her chest. The Larvitar had never acted this way before and she was starting to get scared. Ada, on the other hand, was oblivious to her trainer's fear and she punched the rock again, though it seemed to have little effect. "Kilik, I'm sorry, but I don't know what's gotten into her!" Kasiya shouted. "Okay Ada, return for now," she said, holding up the Larvitar's Pokeball. The red beam shot out to recollect the Rock/Ground-type but Ada would have none of it, and dodged the ray with little effort. "Ada!" Kasiya yelled, but now, the Larvitar was definitely not listening to her.

"Amnesia eh?" Mike thought about what he would do next. Since this was only a training battle, he wasn't so much concerned with winning (not like it would be possible). Even if it didn't look it, Torkoal was far more experienced than Napalm, and there was no chance outside of a freak miracle that he could win. But then again, that wasn't the point of the fight. The point was to give Napalm some extra practice. I might as well not use Smog or Confuse Ray. He thought. Man, training battles were tough work, and he hadn't even given his first command! "Let's see," Mike scratched his head in contemplation. "Psychic?" he shrugged.

Napalm hopped forward and narrowed his eyes at his new opponent: his beach buddy Torkoal. He was glad that this was just a practice match, because he didn't want to hurt his new friend. His eyes shone the trademark blue, the light soon wrapping around Torkoal as well. Napalm went to throw his arms into the air like always, but something was holding him back; goodness he was heavy! The Magby strained hard as he fought to lift his arms up, the muscles in his arm shaking wildly under the weight. After a few moments he just couldn't take it anymore, and broke concentration. Torkoal fell a measly few inches into the soft sand. Napalm let out a pained sigh and gasped for air, he had never seen something so heavy!

"Makes sense." Mike said offhandedly. He figured that Napalm, as strong as he was, wouldn't be able to lift up Torkoal, as heavy a Pokemon as he was. "Napalm, next time use Psychic as a straight up attack rather than a means to throw the enemy around, like a mind blast." He had seen some Psychic Pokemon use it like that before. He figured it was for situations like these, when using it as a telekinetic attack would just waste precious energy. Mike smiled, this little exercise was paying off already!

Hearing what Jaeshan said about Luffy she turned her gaze over to the cute little Aipom who was watching the battle with interest. Well Luffy was her strongest pokemon so she wouldn't know all to much but she was always ready to help make her pokemon stronger. Plus she was pretty sure that Luffy would like to be stronger to in order to protect his Nakama. Still not saying anything she reached out and picked Luffy up diverting his attention away from the battle. It seemed like Luffy sensed that his trainer was serious and they both looked into each others eyes and after a second of searching they seemed to be satisfied. They both wanted to become stronger for their other team members. Letting Luffy settle himself on her shoulder again Robin turned a smile to Jaeshan. "Training sounds very good. If you are willing to do that with us that would be wonderful. You don't have to of course." She quickly added the last part on her quick burst of confidence was gone again.

~~~~~~~~~~~
Ampersand watched with some satisfaction as Ann hugged the giant Ursaring, he was very glad that he had won it for her. Then he watched as she gave the giant plush away. In a way he was somewhat disheartened by that, though he was happy to see the kid smile, then he remembered that he didn't want to lug that thing around and he was happy to see it gone. At the mention of the fact that she had not forgotten her part of the deal Ampersand grinned widely. Deciding to brace himself against the possible fact that he might get elbowed in the gut for this, he stepped over and put his arm around the tall woman's waist and gave her a grin. "Well, if you are ready then I of course am ready to go with you." In his mind he was hoping that she wouldn't hurt him for that move right there.
Torkoal let out an amused snort of sorts as he plopped down in the sand again - the psychic energy tickled, that was for sure. The tortoise let out several puffs of white smoke from his nostrils and he danced a bit, obviously enjoying himself. Flannery giggled a bit at the Pokemon's antics and she placed a hand on her hip, wondering what Torkoal should do next. Let's see how well the little fella can dodge, she thought, glancing from Mike to Napalm and back again. "Okay Torkoal, don't overdo it but give 'em an Ember!" After all, evasion was a rather important skill for a Pokemon to have.
Torkoal nodded affirmatively, the coals in his back giving off a bright glow before the Pokemon spun around quickly, launching a rain of glowing embers into the air. The attack was rather pretty, and was normally considered to be the weaker of all the Fire-type attacks, though Flannery suspected the level difference would be enough incentive for Mike to get Napalm to avoid the hit. At least we can't burn each other's Pokemon, she thought, grinning fondly at her Torkoal.
"Well, I wouldn't ask if I wasn't sure," Jaeshan replied quickly, a little glad to be free of the Aipom for now. While the monkey was cute, he was a little heavy and Jaeshan certainly wasn't used to carrying a Pokemon around on his shoulders. "Besides, I think it would be good for my Pokemon as well, especially Combusken. She's been bursting with energy as of late and I'm sure she'll be glad to get some training in." With that being said he tossed Combusken's Pokeball up into the air and caught it, smiling at the thought of how far the chick had come since the day she'd hatched. He sensed that it wouldn't be long before she evolved again, and the thought of having a powerful Blaziken in the part was quite exciting. "Let's go then!" he laughed, stepping through the sliding doors. He was careful to give the battle a wide berth as he could now see a Sandstorm had been summoned, though it was a little disappointing though because now they couldn't see who had the upper hand.
Jaeshan lead the way until they were pretty much on the opposite side of the Pokemon Center, selecting a spot that was fairly free of sand. As he studied the ground he made a mental note not to have Combusken use her Rock Slide, as he didn't want to cause damage to the property. Once they were settled he called out Combusken, who burst out of her Pokeball and immediately got into a battle position. "We're ready when you are, Robin!" the tall blonde called out.
Normally, Ann's first reaction would be to kick the crap out of anyone who tried a stunt like that, but she figured that hey, this was Ampersand and he had a tendency to goof off like that quite a bit. He's just goofing off again, she thought, though the touch did send slight shivers down her spine. Some things never change, do they? She smiled and nodded, allowing him to lead the way to the main attraction of the carnival, the Ferris Wheel.
Luckily there happened to be a ticket booth right nearby, otherwise they probably wouldn't have been able to get on the ride at all, and Ann simply stood back as Ampersand fulfilled his promise of paying for whatever they were to do that day. The line for the ride itself, unfortunately, was a bit long, but the operator seemed to be good at his job and he quickly ushered people onto the seats, making the wait a lot shorter than it could have been. When it was their turn, they handed their tickets over and took their seats, Ann feeling her heart start to flutter as the operator closed the safety bar and the wheel began to move, bringing them up into the air. Ugh, why did I ever agree to this? she thought, closing her eyes and trying not to look at the people below who had become tiny little specks. I don't like heights!
=-=-=-=-=
Mai's expression was a sour one, as not only had the pipsqueak of a Pokemon taken down Kilik's Aggron, but she also seemed to be holding her own against the Weezing, as well. Things were looking pretty good for it though, that is until the Larvitar had a breakdown in the middle of battle and began to refuse to obey her trainer. Mai smirked at this and nudged Leo, though Leo didn't seem to share in Mai's amusement. He knew that Pokemon that had the ability to evolve often had erratic behaviour and an over abundance of energy, and he suspected that while the Larvitar had her doubts about evolution, a part of her was ready for it and all she needed was that last little bit of confidence.
As the fiery embers descended upon Napalm Mike got an idea. The spread was far too wide for Napalm to tumble or jump out of the way, but if he got a bit creative, maybe he could avoid the attack without having to move. "Napalm, use your Psychic and hit those flames head on! Punch a hole in the spread" Being knowledgeable about the properties of fire, Mike assumed that a sudden blast of kinetic energy on a small wisp of flame would be just like blowing out a birthday candle. And even though Torkoal was of much higher level, it was still just an Ember. He crossed his fingers.
The Magby clenched his little fists together and concentrated once again, his bulbous head glowing blue with psychic energy. He focused on the center of the attack, his eyes glowing blue once again. When he was all charged up, Napalm thrust his hands forward, the air around him wavering erratically as he launched his attack. A jet of Psychic energy blasted forth from the little Magby, the force blasting the nearby sand violently in all directions. The attack shot past the falling embers and dissipated in the sky with a soft boom, but not before blowing out the center-most embers, leaving the rest of the attack to fall harmlessly around him.
"Excellent!" cheered Mike. He couldn't wait until they perfected that technique.
Ampersand happily paid for the tickets and they waited in line, he was just happy that he didn't get beaten up by her. In fact he was enjoying himself very much, ok so maybe he did like Ann a bit more then just as friends, nothing would ever come from it though. They waited in line for a bit watching it get smaller and smaller as people got on the ride. When it was their turn Ampersand just grinned at ride worker before tipping his hat back onto it's string. As they went up in the air Ampersand looked down with interest at all the small people. He couldn't fly around on pokemon and while he did take his fair share of helicopter rides it was always fun to be up in the air. Looking over the edge he let out a low whistle of appreciation, they were so tiny below him and he could see the whole city.
"Wow what a view eh?" He asked glancing back at his friend with a smile that quickly turned into a slight frown. She didn't look to comfortable and that was no good. He sighed slightly as he remembered that she used to be afraid of heights, really he thought she would be over that by now. He leaned back and wrapped his arm around her shoulders and pulled her closer to his warm and nicely muscled body. "I thought you would be over this little fear of yours. Sorry about this." He muttered hoping that she wasn't to upset at him.
~~~~~~~~~

Robin grinned widely at Jaeshan and followed him outside. She and Luffy did need to become stronger as a team. No, scratch that she needed to get stronger for Luffy, she already knew he was strong and would never back down, she was the one who needed to be stronger for him. Robin watched Jaeshan send out Combusken and stared at it for a moment, it certainly was an energetic pokemon but it was also Luffy's friend, she wasn't sure how he would react to that. She glanced up at her partner and asked the curious pokemon. "Are you ok with a training match with your friend?" She knew he didn't like to battle friends but maybe if they were training it would be ok.

Luffy looked out onto the field and studied the cool fire chicken he had battled side by side with before. Well if it was for training he didn't mind fighting at all. Besides it would be cool to show how tough he was to the already tough chicken. He grinned and braced himself on her shoulder before jumping off of it and onto the field as well. He gave a small wave with his tail to his feathered friend before getting in a fighting stance as well grin on his face and Hat securely on his head.

"Definitely a creative way to use Psychic," Flannery murmured. Though she was impressed, she was wondering if perhaps she'd have to kick it up a notch or so. "Okay Torkoal, now use Rapid Spin," she said, giving a nod to the fiery tortoise, who was looking up at the mixture of blue psychic energy and remaining red flames with a rather happy grin. Upon hearing the command he nodded, taking a few steps forward before he withdrew each limb into his shell and began to spin around a bit, using a jet of fire from his mouth to propel himself forward.

"I love how he does that," Flannery chuckled, watching the spinning turtle fly towards the young Magby. "Sometimes I think that Torkoal thinks he's a rocket ship!"
=-=-=-=-=

Combusken let out a happy chirp when she saw her battling partner from before and she waved back at him, stretching the muscles of her incredibly powerful legs as she warmed up for the match. "This is for training, Combusken," Jaeshan told the Fire-type, who nodded quickly. "So we're not exactly trying to win so much as just practice moves and dodging and stuff, you know? Like last night when you trained with Shelgon." Combusken nodded again, looking over at the Aipom curiously. Even though it was just for fun, her ambition was still burning brightly though she tried to brush it off and just make the match fun, if anything else. Her goal was to get strong, like Jaeshan's other Pokemon, that way he'd be sure to call on her whenever he needed a strong Pokemon to fight for him!

Jaeshan was glad to see that Combusken was up for it, though he hadn't doubted her enthusiasm for a minute. He watched the Pokemon stretch her legs a bit more before he looked over at Robin and smiled. "Ladies first," he called out, giving a bit of a bow. He too had been brought up to be a gentleman and there was no chance of him renouncing that upbringing any time soon. Upon hearing this Combusken readied herself by going into a defensive stance. She was ready!

Luffy was ready for anything in this training battle, just because it was against a friend did not mean he wouldn't give it his all. He always threw his everything into every he did. This pokemon was stronger then him but he was pretty sure he was a lot faster then the chicken. He braced himself for Robin's first command know like always what it would be, after all he could only use it once and that was right at the start.

Like Luffy suspected Robin didn't disappoint. "Thanks for the first move Jaeshan. All right Luffy you know what to do! Fake Out!" She ordered with a grin and a dramatic Phoenix Write like pose."

When he was given his attack Luffy took off his speedy little body dashing forward swiftly, no where near as fast as Raz was though. When he got close to the Combusken he give her a grin before doing a little flip then a jump landing softly behind her and lashing out with his hand tail.

Aidan was following the glowing red eye on his bike not really paying to much attention to the road. It was getting somewhat chilly out and despite the fact that he was riding on the bike he kept his dark jacket on, the bike was a bright color plus it was a pretty quiet road he was going down. He was even on the side of the path, he wasn't completely stupid. So when he heard the blaring siren coming closer he didn't really pay it much mind. So the impact came as quite a surprise.

He let out a strangled yelp of both pain and shock as he was thrown on the ground. He didn't even notice his bike being destroyed yet instead he focused on the fact that his leg was hurting a lot. He groaned as he pushed his now aching body up and reached over to his leg only to stop and realize his side was now killing him. That would form a big bruise tomorrow, he could practically feel it forming. When he heard a somewhat familiar voice he held a groan back in his head and glanced up his bright blue eyes showed his displeasure when his face did not. Over all he was pretty sure he looked like a mess, and while he normally didn't care in front of this guy he was sure it mattered. While his hair was normally messy it was even more so now, the grayish blonde it normally was probably had dirt on it. His jacket and pants were a mess as well covered in dirt now.

He sighed though and ran a hand through his hair before he picked himself up and turned around to face the other. "I can assume it was you who hit me?" He asked looking over at the other somewhat irritated. He was even more irritated to see his bike was totally destroyed. He had saved up over a year to buy that and now it was gone. Looking away from the painful sight he started to take off his jacket wincing a bit as his body started to protest to the movements. His clothes underneath were clean though and even though he didn't really pick them or anything the cut did look very good on him.
