Her voice like honey, her lips like rubies in the cold light, her eyes the crimson of liquid blood. She lead him forward words slipping into his ears like the snake's hiss. It was killing her do this, she wept as they walked, but he couldn't see her tears, not now, only she could deliver him. She was the only one who could do this now. They rode on a boat towards, what? Only their destiny, the stars had fortold it and now they would have to play their parts.
At their destination rested to souls each with their own thoughts and feelings neither happy with the situation that had been forced on them.
