Since Eden's senses really weren't that sharp unless she was specifically meaning to use them in order to properly track or locate a definite target, she didn't notice people when they were near or there. Her mind could reach out to locate other people's consciousness, however, she had to apply herself and concentrate in order to properly locate them. It was the same with smelling, unless she had a specific scent of a specific person and was purposefully looking for them, she would not notice their scent if it happened to enter the vicinity. So quite naturally, she never noticed when Tokeru silently swept in after her to watch over her and make sure she was alright. Of course she would be able to see and hear Tokeru, however, he was out of sight and he was being silent so she didn't have too much of a chance of noticing him. That and she hadn't thought of the fact that Tokeru would want to come with her to make sure she was alright, and in her haste, she had assumed that he'd stayed behind. Seeing as though she was in a rush and when in rushes, Eden tended to be a slight bit scatter brained and disarrayed, she didn't really consider too many possibilities.

Edith silently cursed to herself as she watched the one vampire decide to launch a light grenade at one of the demons that'd been at the meeting that she'd interrupted to see Tokeru. She hissed as the light from the grenade flashed violently in her eyes, stinging them and temporarily blinding her due to the fact that her pupils had dilated to the point that her eyes were completely black and intolerant of any flashes of light whatsoever. Even cars headlights irritated and blinded her, and street lights greatly irritated her. Usually she remembered to bring her pair of sunglasses with her, however, in her haste, she'd completely forgotten them behind and had only managed to grab her axe. As she was blinded from the view, or in her current case, not view, out of reflex and out of finally remembering that light hurt her, she threw herself behind a crate before the rays of light could further burn her. She didn't know if it was a UV grenade so taking precautions was sounding like a pretty good idea, though the light really hadn't touched her enough to even burn her if it had been UV rays. The only thing the grenade had accomplished was majorly irritating Edith's eyes.

As she threw herself behind a crate in order to avoid the light rays of the flash grenade or whatever it was, she cursed as she fell flat on her stomach. She'd ended up winding herself slightly though she didn't really breathe that much anymore and it was more out of habit than anything. Her bullet-proof vest and her axe ended up clattering against the ground and she rolled her eyes at how defective her ability to be silent was. Yeah, Meredith was only too aware that stealth was not her strong point. She was more of a rush into the place and possibly get shot during the raid as opposed to a person entering by means of stealth. Eden, personally, didn't like sneaking around, it annoyed her when people sneaked around so she preferred a more confrontational approach. She was able to take care of herself and she'd been injured on more than one occasion as a human and had been able to get through it so she wasn't too overly concerned right now. However, she wasn't about to reveal herself since the current situation would be five to one, not to mention all of the people there were elders except her and they'd have a bone to pick with her for hunting their kind. Not only that but she would be perfect for a ransom since she was a sister to both of the New York Hunter Leaders.

As the grenade went was about to go off the shadow figures released Rogue and rush to surround Kuro. They only got to him in time to block some of the light. Kuro didnt have time to block his eyes or to try and seek more cover. The light hit him and he fell to his knees. The shadow figures disappeared due to the light. Once the light had faded Kuro punched the ground 'Neko!' he shouted 'It would be good if you continued to fight!' he raised his head, his eyes were all cloudy. Two shadow figures rose up next to him 'I need to keep them away from me' he whispered to one of the figures

A graceful, shadow-like figure glided across the rooftops towards the docklands, landing with a soft thud on top of a metal crate. A magnesium flash filled the sky with blinding light as he approached, and stood atop the newest demonic battlefield of New York - a sight to behold indeed.

The diamond was currently burning a hole in his chest, powerful thoughts radiated from both Gabby and Rogue. The link between the vampire elders and their diamonds was strong - he could tell one had been severed, and this only made the remaining diamonds even more fierce. Someone had injured one of his dark sisters..

"Sorry i'm late" his voice boomed, the clouded sky behind him beginning to drip with water. He looked over to Gabby, blood dripping from her stomach - and to Rogue, fresh bullet wounds smoking in her flesh.

As if controlled by the gem inside him, it threw him forwards, towards his enemies. He regained his composure as he fell off the side of the crate and positioned his feet falling parallel to the metal, with a crash he kicked off. The heavy crate toppling to its side as he shot forwards, snarling, fists clenched.

William surveyed the docks from the top of the warehouse he was currently perched upon, his black clothes blending into the dark roofing material behind him. He'd arrived only minutes before, having gotten Lydia's message that she sensed a disturbance at the docks. So here he was, watching the battlefield below and planning out his next move. It wouldn't do to introduce his part before he was sure of all the players.

Hmmmm, interesting. Neko and Kuro were fighting off a couple of vampire elders. It was an impressive fight, reminding Will why these people were Elders of their respective races. The only way he'd have a chance of keeping up with them was if he were to give the Power free reign, and if he did he risked considerable damage to his own body as well as the chance of releasing his split personality, Death. Still, it was what he'd have to do in order to ahve any bearing on these current proceedings.

Eyes carefully scanning for hidden enemies, he was both pleased and worried when he caught a glimpse of Edith hiding in the nearby shadows. Pleased because he'd have backup once he went in to mix it up. Worried because the last time that Edith faced Rogue, she'd barely gotten away with her life. Because she was his sister and Tokeru's significant other, and thus a high profile target for enemies of the Hunters. But she was there, and if he needed to get out of there in a hurry at least she could provide cover.

Raising his radio to his lips, he barely whispered as the battlecries below rang out. "William Jackson calling HISSS. Disturbance on the docks, run interference with local responders if feasible. Cordon area off if possible. Jackson out."

Quietly clicking the radio off, Will turned his attention once more to the fight raging underneath him. It was then that he saw Kyree arrive, and his blood ran cold. Neko and Kuro had barely been holding their own against three vampire Elders, but against four? Especially when one of them was absolutely fresh and pumped up when everyone else in the fight was at least partially exhausted? He had to act now, this was the moment of action.

Securing his weapons, he affixed the monster hand cannon Testament to his right hand as his left began to glow with blazing white energy. The energy glowed deeply within his eyes, and a faint shimmering of it covered his body. He was at about fifty percent power, he could maintain this state for a while without risk. Unfortunately, he doubted that he'd be able to get away with using so little power for long.

Springing off of the rooftop with his enhanced leg muscles even as Kyree dropped off of the side of the metal container that the vampire was standing upon, Will angled his body to intercept the newcomer, using wisps of the Power to control and alter his fall. Bringing up Testament, he carefully sighted along it's massive length, projecting where Kyree was likely to be at the exact moment his bullet would hit that spot. The second the vampire pushed off and shot towards the two Tainted, Will pulled the trigger, unleashing a brilliant flash and a sound like a thunderclap. Even as the 15mm projectile sped towards Kyree, Will straightened the course of his fall from where the recoil of the gun had altered his path, blazing left hand outstretched to grasp upon his enemies face as he descended from above upon Kyree. If the bullet missed, he'd make sure that he wouldn't.

((Send me PMs to make sure that I know you guys have posted when you do, ok? I'll make sure to be on at least once a day while this fight is going on. Also, should I have HISSS divert any police units or anything on it's way to the docks so that we're uninterrupted? I'm a little rusty with RP fights, so let me know if I'm godmoding or anything.))

Tokeru waited, hidden in the shadows of a building.

He saw Kyrre arrive, and remained hidden. He was focused, his mind sharp, unlike usual. He could think clearly, but he kept his thoughts blank. Surveying, unthinking. He was ready to act on instinct, and needed to remember that what he used to be able to do, was no longer possible. He no longer had his strength, or his speed. But he did have his new abilities, and his rhyming, which was very eerie in a fight.

He kept his eyes close to his love, when Will approached.

Knowing he could not remain hidden much longer, he began to make preparations for when he was to reveal himself, slowly bending the light around him, very slowly, so as not to be detected, he did the same to Edith.

Rogue closed her eyes just as the flash had gone off. And the shadow figures she was pulling against were no longer there, and she fell backward, a few of the bullets missing her. But a bit of damage was done.

She laid on her back, her body burning from the bullets. Her main artery in her neck not severed, but plenty of blood was trickling down her neck. She was bleeding from a few places now, and her blood loss becoming an issue. The burn for blood and the pain was beginning to drive her mad.

Rogue's blood was thick in the air, but as she lay there for a short moment, writhing in the physical pain, her thirst burned, the scent of humans getting stronger with Will arriving on the scene.

Rikku bent down over Rogue quickly as the blindness would only last for a few moments before those affected by it would be able to regain complete sight. "Rogue, keep your control, and only take what you need..." Rikku slit open her wrist and moved behind Rogue lifting her head and putting her wrist to Rogue's mouth, while staying alert to her surroundings.

Neko jumped back to avoid Alexz's kick, accidentally avoiding one of Rikku's strikes as well. Unfortuantely, the other hit home, letting loose a stream a dark red blood that stained her white fur a horribly demented shade of gruesome crimson. The Tainted elder threw back her head as she howled her pain, instinctively lashing out at the one who had wounded her. Against one elder, Neko could hold her own, but against two, one being the matriarch of New York vampires...the young woman knew she didn't have much of a chance.

There was suddenly a bright light and Neko had to squint to keep her eyes from screaming at her. As it was, they were tearing horribly, blurring her vision. Kuro was a kind of shadow tainted, meaning that the light would incapacitate him...s**t. And Kyrre, was coming, she could smell his putrid scent on the wind. All four rotten apples together. Her wounds burned as they bled sluggishly, making her loose focus. Dammit, they were so powerful. Even with Alex down and out for the count and Rogue wounded, Rikku and Kyrre were still at full strength.

Ignoring her pain, Neko launched herself at Rikku and Rogue, moving so fast that she left afterimages of herself. Following by scent and sound more than sight, the Tainted elder opened her jaws wide, intending to sink them deeply into Rikku's throat.

Against elders, Lydia knew that she would not be of much use in actual fighting. Though her mental skills certainly allowed her fight on equal footing with most average night bretheren in New York City, the elders were a step above them. The only ones who could taken on an elder was another elder, maybe more. Neko and Kuro were strained fighting just Rogue, Rikku, and Alexz. The arrival of Kyrre tipped things in their favor. Seeing Will lunge to attack the newly arrived vampire, the psychic felt her heart skip a beat. They required help now, and fast.

I am sorry about this, Rogue. Lydia thought to the vampire, feeling along their connection before attacking earnestly at those mental barriers Rogue always had up. Using their link, the psychic hoped that it would lessen the time and effort required to rip a hole into Rogue's mind. Even if Lydia could bring down Rogue on her own, there was still Rikku and Kyrre to deal with. Neko looked as battered as anything, bleeding profusely form all over; it was amazing that she was still standing, let alone still fighting. There were not any more Tainted elders in New York, which meant no one to back them up...

Wait.

It was not the Tainted who were the sworn enemies of the vampires, it was not the Tainted who had been fighting the vampires for so long. There might still be some help somewhere, some help that could take down Kyrre and Rikku.

Will! We need to get the Lycan elders here, now! Lydia thought hurridly, keeping that message seperate from her attack on Rogue.

Will jerked back slightly at his wife's mental contact, but managed to keep his focus and stay on target, using the Power to speed his descent so that his glowing hand was just a foot and a hlf behind the bullet that he'd fired and keeping up to speed with it. If Kyree didn't dodge in the next few seconds the bullet would smash right into the side of his neck. And if he did dodge, then Will would latch onto the back of the vampire's head with his energy laden hand ready to char flesh and bone.

Responding in his mind to Lydia, Will tried to project focused calm and none of the anxiety he felt at engaging a vampire elder head on. 'A little busy right now, kobito. But Eden's hiding nearby, if you can link up with her maybe she can contact them, or at least send a message to Sethe.'

Locked on his target, Will loosened the restraints on his power a little more, boosting it to fifty-five percent. He could feel the added stress on his bone structure, but if it helped him take Kyree out of the fight then the resulting pain would be worth it. He was almost there....

Edith cursed to herself as some random guy jumped on top of a crate and off it, sending it flying her way. She was quick to dodge without needing to roll out of the way this time, using her unnatural vampiric speed that she still found rather difficult to control. However, here in a battlezone, there really was no need to control it so she wasn't nearly as concerned about it as she usually was. After all, the battle zone was a perfect place to test herself and see what she was physically capable of as well as mentally. Not only that but she didn't have to worry about hurting someone or mauling someone that was a complete and total enemy so she wasn't going to have to hold anything back and it excited her.

Something was weird about the guy that'd jumped off the crate and when she recalled the whole flash that'd seemed to fill the sky, she decided that he was another elder. Great, she was gonna get so screwed over, however, she wasn't going to stand there and watch the two other elders get their asses kicked while she hid and simply watched. Yeah, she had no idea if they'd attack her or not but Edith had never been good at just standing there and watching people fight while she was on the sidelines. She needed some action and the vampiric side of her was more than ready for a fight even if it meant she was probably going to prove useless up against these fabled elders. However, this didn't mean that Edith wasn't going to at least give it a shot before she decided she was incapable of going up against them.

Just as she was about to step out of the shadows and reveal herself, her brother appeared and had fired off a deafening shot at the newly arrived vampire elder, or so she assumed he was that. Of course, a natural concern for her brother welled up inside her and she wanted nothing more than to rush out and go to his rescue, which at the moment wasn't needed. However, Edith managed to remind herself to stay put for just a bit longer so that she could come out as cover for William if he so happened to need it even if it was as difficult as hell for her to sit tight and stay still. It was difficult but the reminder that she might be of more help as a surprise element in this battle kept her staying put for now.

She'd never seen these strange powers from her brother and it made her wonder just how human he actually was or whether something had happened to him. He certainly wasn't a vampire nor a lycan, perhaps one of the tainted? Nah, she doubted it and wouldn't believe it but whatever William was doing convinced her that he was not fully human. She would have mentally contacted him, however, that ran the risk of other people listening in on her and not to mention the fact that it would partially distract him and she figured he could use as few distractions as he could get for himself.

Upon seeing Lydia arrive, it only finalized Edith's decision that she needed to get her a** moving and helping out if she was to do anything. If Lydia didn't stand much of a chance against the elders, then Edith was more than screwed, however, that wouldn't stop her from trying to be useful and helpful where she could be. Of course, there was always the risk that Edith was going to be completely useless and end up getting in the way of the more experienced hunters, however, if they wanted her out of there then she'd listen to orders. Maybe she'd listen grudgingly but nonetheless she'd still listen to and obey the orders unless they were to flee and leave people behind.

Not noticing in any way whatsoever that Tokeru had somehow cloaked her to make her invisible to all surveyors, she rushed over to Lydia in order to assure that she could help her out, trusting that her brother had his back. However, that didn't mean that Edith wasn't prepared to use her awkward vampiric speed in order to rush to his aid if he so happened to require it of her. Once arriving at Lydia's side, still having not noticed that she was invisible, she'd been about to open her mouth to speak to Lydia until she noticed that she was using her powers to contact someone. Perhaps it was help or her brother but whoever it was, Edith decided not to disturb the psychic until she was finished with whatever it was she was saying.

Rogue found Rikku's wrist and fought for control of herself as she drank. She collected her mind the best she could, and felt the bullets pop out of her flesh, and the flesh quickly healing, Rikku's blood was rich, a taste of power. Rogue let go of Rikku's wrist, the thirst begging her not to stop.

She then saw Neko...well, barely saw Neko in a rush coming at Rogue and Rikku. Rogue thrust herself out of the way of Neko and stopped for a moment, on hands and knees trying to suppress the thirst. She heard Lydia's words in her mind...

Then began to feel pressure in her head...Rogue lifted her head and rose to her feet quickly catching Lydia's eyes. Rogue's wounds had stopped bleeding, the knife wound Kuro made though would take more blood that wasn't really accessible at the moment.

Rogue lifted a brow.
"What are you getting at, Lydia? I never wanted to hurt you..." Rogue used her mind the best she could to try and keep it shut from Lydia's...but it was difficult, her fangs still elongated, her eyes glowing a dark emerald. Rogue unsheathed the sai's in her boots. Rogue moved with speed only an elder could possess and charged at Lydia, ready to slam one of the points into her side.

Rikku saw Neko too late to completely avoid a blow, but in an attempt to duck from Neko's attack, the claws slashed into the side of her face. Her head ripped to the side, blood flowing off, the slashes deep...and instinctually, Rikku slammed her fists in a one-two punch getting some distance between the two.
Rikku's cold blue eyes were filled with anger, blood dripped down the side of her chin, the slashes from her ear close to her nose. The slashes were starting to heal themselves.
PostPosted: Thu Oct 18, 2007 6:16 am

"What's wrong, Rikku? Is a little girl too fast for you to catch?" Neko asked, a bit of a taunt in her voice. She knew that Rikku could never hope to match her speed, and the Tainted elder prayed that that would give her enouch of an advantage to come out of this alive. Still, her bravado only covered the fact that Rikku had scored two punches on Neko stomach, bruises already forming and healing. Not seeing anything else in the melee around them, Neko focused entirely on Rikku. This would be the fight of her life, a young Tainted elder against the aged and powerful vampire matriarch of New York City. She only hoped she was up to the task.

Lydia felt for Edith's mind after Will finished his message. Feeling a mind that she could not see, Lydia hoped it was Edith and thought Edith, contact Krii'Ouse, see if we can get the Lycan elders her- The psychic was suddenly cut off as Rogue rammed into her, a knife blade sinking into her side. Crying out in pain, the psychic latched onto Rogue by wrapping her arms around her neck, not letting the more powerful woman go.

I do not want to hurt you either, Rogue. You gave me what I wanted most in life and because of it, I now know what happiness it. Listen to reason, Rogue. You are no longer who you were, and it is for that reason that I do this. Please Rogue, do not make Will tell our daughter that her mother was killed by her godmother. Lydia thought to Rogue, doing her best to ignore the pain in her side. Maybe if she was shocked enough, Rogue would be distracted long enough for someone to fix whatever was wrong with her.

Kuro's eyes were slowly clearing up back to normal again but it was going to take a bit more. The shadow figures beside him were whispering in to his ears. They were telling him what was going on around him, how Kyrre had shown up, how Will too had shown up suddenly and how Rogue, the one he was fighting, was charging at Lydia. Though the shadows were telling him this, Kuro looked around and from what he could barely see he was able to make out Neko. He strained to see her clearer. He finally saw who she was fighting "Rikku" he muttered to himself. He didn't care about Rogue anymore, she was attacking a hunter. Kuro whispered to the shadow figures and then all three of them sank into the ground.

"I think its time to even things up a little bit" Kuro said as he rose from the shadows beside Neko "I'm not usually a team fighter but I am willing to do so against Rikku" he snickered "And don't worry Neko, my cloudy eye won't hinder us hugely" he said to her "They are much clearer now" Kuro looked straight at Rikku, his eyes were almost completely back to colour "My little trip in the shadow realm helped, the darkness is so good" as he said that his sword rose from the shadows beside him, he then grab a hold of it and raised it "Well now then, shall we begin this Neko?"

Rikku felt a pull from the diamond as she stood before them. Her thirst was growing.

"Kittens and shadow puppets. How nice." She sent a devilish grin their way. She hated tainted.

Rogue's eyes caught Lydia's as the words were in her mind. Rogue ripped the sai out of her side and backed up, a hand going to her head...she felt Lydia being successful in being able to get inside.
"Get out of my head..."

Rogue thought to herself. I'm not a godmother. I'm only a killer, its all I am...its...all..i am...
