Streamjumper TweedleKeys Z_z This was not a good idea. question Run event to midnight. See Indy 4 at 1am. One hour commute back to con for opening morning working. Run event to 2am. I'm coming to terms with the strengths and weaknesses of Indy 4 at least so it doesn't seem like such a bad idea. I don't regret seeing it but I'm not sure I needed to see it in the theatre/pay that kind of ticket price for it/start off con with no sleep. It's always good to hang out with friends though.

iBarty LunaInverse Stream should be happy about this... http://www.animenewsnetwork.com/news/2008-05-23/bandai-visual-usa-to-be-liquidated-by-september I really hate when I'm not paying attention to what I'm doing. I think I'm quoting someone and really, I just edited their post and then I wonder where my reply goes. Originally I was going to say I don't see what's good about this, but then I saw Stream's reply and that's be awesome..cheaper anime.Yeah, Bandai Visual thought it would be a smart idea to sell the series they licensed for American audiences using the same pricing and content that they use in Japan. In other words, Bandai Visual would sell a DVD with no extras, maybe not even a dub track, with only 2 or 3 episodes...and charge $40 for it. To American audiences... Considering how many whiny fans I've seen complaining about paying $20 for a DVD, it's no wonder that this was a colossal flop. I'm not surprised that this happened. I was expecting it.

iBarty Oh! And I got the Narnia Omnibus in the mail on Friday! I'm excited. I got that a few months ago. I was so happy, since I wanted to get the books again. I even like that they arranged the books in chronological order, as opposed to order of release.

Supposedly because they thought that enough Americans would bite the bullet and buy it... while the high price point would discourage the trend of some Japanese fans buying the cheaper, more content dense R1 releases.

I was expecting it. lolol...major lose for them. But yeah, even I would start complaining about that a little. What I don't get though, is why am I able to afford sometimes high priced DVDs when I'm only paid minimum wage (in my state it's 6.15)? It's true it takes me longer to get some things and collect cool series such as Haruhi and stuff (which I'm still waiting for prices of it to go down..which might happen once the boxset comes out), but at the same time the longer I wait the more the price of things go down sometimes. I mean, look at the deals I got on School Rumble! Which, by the way, I finished watching the first volume and it's really interesting. I like...Harima I believe is the guy? The one that I thought was too old to be in school when I saw that one episode at the con (which turned out to be number four).

Streamjumper iBarty Oh! And I got the Narnia Omnibus in the mail on Friday! I'm excited. Enjoy your pile o reading. I hope I will. It's a lot to read though so it might discourage me a little. But, at the same time..because it's seven books all together in one, that might help a bit. I've got a lot of things I'm borrowing from people when it comes to DVDs and books (manga) so those come first if I can help it. Or, at least I can finish reading the manga so then I can still watch whatever and read whatever I want (if that makes sense).
