Sir Upper Crust the 3rd I mean just look at Melph's sig! Does it not just scream awesome!?
Her signature is inanimate. It does not possess the ability to talk. Therefor it cannot scream.
On a side note, Death Note is awesome. The author of the series put a lot of thought into it. And it doesn't drag on for 40000 chapters/episodes like some other shows that made me lose interest in them. ninja

Death Note... There are things I love about it and things I hate about it. I personally think it lasted to long, aka I belong to the camp that believes it should have ended when L died. Up until that part I loved the series. Of course I do like the end of it to... what with the swimming lessons.
Still I admit that One Piece can be hugely intimidating for anyone who would be interested in getting into it. After all it did celebrate its 10 year anniversary sorta recently.
Either way people like different styles of anime and manga.

Both of you have valid points. Death Note is indeed win, but long running doesn't necessarily mean bad.

Yeah, the bits of One Piece I did pay attention to were pretty good. I just stopped watching it when it was taken off the air on Cartoon Network and never picked up reading it since we stopped getting Shonen Jump.
Now that I've got high-speed internet, I'll probably pick up the manga online sometime. It's just so huge I don't feel like starting it up again.
Yeah, I just got to where L is taken out and those other two guys were mysteriously introduced. I seems like it should end, but we'll see how I feel by the end of the series. So far, all the mental battles have been great. Some anime geniuses that are actually smart for once.

Oh god you watched it in english?! I am so sorry you had to sit through that! I am not one to be a purist and watch things only in Japanese or anything but the English in One Piece is just awful... Anyway if you wanted to catch up on it or for anyone else you can of course do that here. Of course there are tons of other manga on the site as well if you want some other ones as well.

Yes, the mental battles in Death Note were absolutely incredible, I've rewatched/reread them countless times.
And One Piece english dub/American censoring = the most painful thing in the world. Just plain awful.....*shiver*
