"Because he spent most of his life trying to scrape up enough money to send her to a college...," he sighed, recalling her mother's constant complaints. Kyle removed his hand from his face and stared at her, confused by this new information.
"What do you mean, our families can get treatment...?" he gaped at her in confusion, this being the first time he'd heard about it. He wasn't sure what Kiah had heard, but if she didn't know about it... "Her dad told her to forget about them when she left... but maybe I could tell them, and she would never need to know..." he jumped up from the couch in excitement, barely even thinking about all the ways this could go wrong.

Liv looked up at him when he jumped from the couch. She reached for his wrist and held it, continuing to look up at him seriously, "You need to tell her, Kyle..."

Kyle didn't falter when Liv grabbed his arm, simply grinning at her happily. "But Liv, when he gets better, it'll be like none of this ever happened! She can just go on without worrying, and maybe find out if she sees him again and be glad he's okay!"
He gently pried her hand off and squeezed it reassuringly. "It'll be fine, Liv... And we won't have to watch her suffer, right?"

She pursed her lips and grasped his hand in return, "I don't know, honey...we don't know what condition he's currently in, we don't know...if he can even be helped at this point..."
She hated to burst his bubble, but she wanted to be realistic. She didn't know what illness he had, or how far along the sickness was. She wasn't certain the Order would be able to help, especially if he had only the tiniest chance at survival. Between the Science department and Medical Staff though, there might be a chance; certainly a much bigger chance than anyone else could provide at least.

"He's got to be alright! He's one of the strongest people I've ever met!" he insisted, pulling his hand away slowly. Kyle was itching to talk to someone in the office now that he had a way to help out, thinking that if he waited a second longer, the man in America would suffer longer.
"I should talk to Komui about this, right?" he asked, nearly bouncing on the balls of his feet in anticipation. He believed wholeheartedly that the man would get better, no matter how many 'what if's Liv threw at him. Not to mention that he wanted his family covered in case something went wrong, especially since his sister was supposed to be getting married and starting a family of her own soon.

Liv sighed a little and conceded. She wouldn't be able to stop him from getting his hopes up now that she had let out that Kiah's father might be able to get help. When he asked who he should go to, she thought for a moment. Komui was probably the right person to go to. He would look into the matter and see what he could do wholeheartedly, especially for Kiah. Maybe he would choose some of the Medical Staff to take a trip- The Medical Staff.
Liv jumped up like a light bulb went off in her head, "Kyle, I think I know someone who could help."

Kyle was ready to run out the door, but whipped back around when Liv spoke out, grinning from ear to ear. "Really?! Who would that be?" he questioned, feeling like a huge weight was being lifted off his chest. He was sure if anyone knew who could provide the best care around the Order, Liv would be the one to ask. He was still going to see Komui at some point to explain the situation, but for now he wanted to know who would be helping out.

"I know one of the doctors- well, he's almost a doctor. He hasn't completed his training, but he's almost finished. I actually went on a blind date with him on Valentine's Day," she laughed and shook her head, "but..well we're friends now, and I think that he would love to help. If I could go with him to see Kiah's father, we could see how he's doing, get him checked out, see if there's anything we can do."
She moved over to him and put her hand on his arm, "I want to help, too."

At the words "almost a doctor", Kyle's smile froze into place, causing him to look a bit ridiculous. "I... but he's definitely qualified, right? He wouldn't... I don't know, make any mistakes...?" he wondered out loud, not realizing that it could be taken badly by someone. He could help scowling when he heard about their blind date, as he'd never been on one before and was a bit jealous. "I'm sure that was fun..."
"I don't think it would be a very good idea for you to go there. The rest of her family doesn't really appreciate visitors unless they're coming to help," he stated, trying to dissuade her from going at all. Kyle was grateful that she seemed eager to help, but if it were up to him, no one in the Order would ever set foot in that house if they didn't need to.

"No, he's completely qualified. He's wonderful," she assured him, nodding, "Ahah...well..it was, actually. He's a very sweet man," she smiled.
Her smiled faded when he talked about her not going, "But..I'm not going to send him there without me. I can't ask this favor of him and expect him to go by himself. And you probably won't be allowed to go. It's best if I go. It's essential really, I think."

Kyle thought it over, disappointed that she brought up a good point. He was hoping that he could persuade them into letting him go, but it seemed like a waste of everyone's time, even if he was still going to try. He was hoping the two devils would be on a trip of some sort while they visited, because it would be completely out of his hands.
"Well then, you be careful if you go too, alright? There's... a lot of dangerous animals there," he stared at her seriously, covering up the real reason. "And... I wouldn't mention anything about me, or Kiah, to her family either... Just in case, you know..."
