"Heeeey," she whined when he ruffled her hair, compulsively fixing her curls.
She straightened up and watched him as he told her the big secret. She silently raised her hand to her mouth and her eyes widened a little as he spoke. She shook her head a little and her eyes filled with sadness at the news. She was quiet for a while before she lowered her hand from her face.
"But...how..how could it be her fault he can't get treated...?" she replied quietly, not understanding, "If anything...her affiliation with the Order could provide him the best treatment possible. Even if she can't go home, the Order...they're really good about that sort of thing, funding healthcare for family members."
