He glanced at her as she joined him, before turning his attention to the book again. He continued to flip through the pages. The book was littered with images of the old Chinese brush-painting style. Some of the pictures were plain, and some of them were rich with color. Every picture showed the Lotus in a different kind of light or angle.
"Have you ever seen a flower like this before?" he asked.

"Lotus.." She tested the name on her tongue, deciding she liked it she smiled again. "Even the name is pretty."
She looked at him curiously, "Have you seen one before Yu-nii? You seem to like them, or atleast have an interest in them."

"I've seen them once or twice..," he replied quietly.
He kept flipping the pages until they reached the end. When they did, he let the back cover fall shut. He fidgeted the book in his hands for a minute before setting it aside on the table again.

She glanced back at him when the book was placed on the table. Something was up, but she didn't want to pry.
She stood up and tugged on his arm a little, "Ne, Yu-nii. Let's play okay?"
She wanted to cheer him up.

"We're gonna need to stop by my room to drop this guy off though."

He walked in front of her and held the door open, then shut it behind them both. He headed down the hall and then realized he didn't know where Chaoe's room was.
"I don't know where your room is..,"
