He frowned when she quickly disappeared, but when she came back out in workout clothing he assumed she had disappeared to change. His eyes traveled over her long hair, a lot like his own if he were to take it down. He noticed the scars on her chest, but didn't say anything, not lingering there for more than one reason. He shrugged his own Exorcist's coat off and placed it to the side. Underneath was a plain white buttoned shirt, which he removed with slight hesitation. He had a sleeveless undershirt on still, but it showed some of his tattoos. He also set Mugen aside, clearing his throat a little as he moved to face Kiah.
"I'll follow your regiment, and then I can be your hand-to-hand combat partner," he replied.

Kiah's eyes were instantly drawn to black marks that she determined were tattoos for a second before glancing away, not wanting to pry. She was glad that no one around the Order seemed to ask questions, and she especially didn't want to be the one to start a trend.
"Okay!" she perked up and started out enthusiastically, taking him through the steps. It was obvious that running was her favorite part, even if she coudn't quite match Kanda's speed. Once they'd finished, she turned to face him, putting the weights back where they belong. "Now you can teach me how you train," she chirped happily, getting her breath back.

He was barely out of breath, as his conditioning was at a higher level than Kiah's training. He tried not to make this obvious though, and acted like he was somewhat worn out. He rolled his shoulders after setting down the weights, stretching his arms and legs, shaking them out. He nodded at her enthusiasm, faltering a little from it, not used to anyone being to seemingly happy to train with him. He moved over to her and stood in front of her.
"You have to keep a strong stance, but still be light on your feet so you can change direction quickly," he started a bit awkwardly, trying to show her how to stand and move her feet.
He cleared his throat a little and then stood up straight to adjust her hands, "Keep your hands up to protect your face," he put his fingers to her wrists, gently lifting upwards to position her arms and hands up. He quickly let his hands drop to his sides as he backed up a couple steps and assumed his own position in front of her.

Kiah wasn't fooled by his act at all. She'd seen him beat a group of finders and hadn't been tired in the least when he was finished with them. It was the thought that counted, she supposed. Genuinely happy to be training with him, Kiah focused intently on what he was telling her, trying to match his stance even if it felt awkward at first.
"I think I've got it...," she let him guide her arms into the right position and waited for him to get ready. Once he was, she hesitated to move, realizing at that point what combat training actually meant. Kiah wasn't used to hitting anyone that didn't deserve it, but she sure did give it a shot, throwing a weak punch towards his gut.

As she threw the weak punch, he easily shifted out of the way. He realized as he made his own swing that he didn't normally fight women, let alone one that wasn't a fellow Exorcist. Quickly adjusting his hand from a fist to an open backhand, he struck her in the side.

When he shifted his fist and backhanded her, she was pushed back, causing her to get more serious. "You don't have to go easy on me. I can take a beating."
After awhile of throwing punch after punch, Kiah realized that she really wasn't getting anywhere, especially since she was so worn out already. "I'm... not much of a partner..." she panted, indicating that she was too tired to go on.

"You're a fine partner, it just takes practice," he huffed a little and stood up normally, dropping his hands.
"Don't forget the element of surprise counts for a lot in the battlefield. Opponents don't always face-off and have a chance to get ready, like we did today.." he added, giving her a small look before turning his back on her.
He moved over to where his coat lay and slowly picked up Mugen, attaching it to his hips, his back still turned on her. He seemed to be deeply concentrating on what he was doing.
