kiahpup (( And that Kanda was... whiny... : | )) Kyle noticed the smile fall from Sil's face and cursed, feeling too tired for such a serious topic. "I haven't seen her like that once, since she's been here though..." he said quitely, trying to steer the conversation to a happier subject.
"You... don't...?" he let the question hang before he quickly moved on, not wanting to upset the girl. "Yeah, usually when a group of people live together they tend to get on each other's nerves a lot. But... they usually only... yell at one another... and use words to hurt instead of-," he cut off, looking horrified for the split second he was about to reveal something too personal. Kyle quickly recovered it up with a cough and picked up his sentence. "Anyway, they avoided each other like the plague, so this is a bit different..."(( And now it's time to sleep~ Goodnight Sil! <3 ))
As he cut himself off, Sil took in a deep breath through her nose and a shiver slithered down her spine-- Kyle didn't have to finish his words because it was easy enough to infer what he was about to say. Her curious nature did not win out, her tongue curled in her mouth as if holding back words that might push him to reveal what she did not want confirmed. She paused for a long moment, sinking her chin into the palm of her hand with a soft sigh. "Sometimes, I wish someone would have a happy story to tell... As much as Komui pisses me off to hell fire proportions, it would be wonderful if there were more Komui's and Lenalee's, don't you think?" She tilted her head slightly, smiling then as she imagined all of them having family in The Order, but she couldn't really imagine it.
"You know what I really want to know?" She perked up then, smiling slowly, letting the moment pass. "I want to know the most embarrassing story you have about her. You're best friends, after all... I'm sure she's done some wildly stupid things."

"Yeah, Komui seems cool, and I heard his sister is a total babe," Kyle replied stupidly, glad for the change in subject. He laughed between yawns at the request, going through embarrassing things in his head that happened after the age of twelve. Just as he was about to start, he decided to strike a deal with the girl. "I'll tell you if you tell me anything embarrassing that's happened to her while she's away. And if you promise to clue me in on her crush if you find out."
"Actually, there was this one time...," he started chuckling to himself a little, "when we were about fourteen and Kiah had her first crush. The kid's name was Ian, and he was alright, I guess. He was popular like me, so I tried to get them to actually talk to one another, but Kiah was too shy to say much." In reality, Kiah didn't say much of anything to people she didn't know those day, but he decided to keep that detail to himself. "So I started talking about how great she was at horseback riding to get him impressed, so we agreed to meet on the trail- the place where most people rode- and have Kiah jump a few logs. She was pretty mad at first, enough to shove my face in the dirt, but once you say she can't do something, she has to do it. She's stubborn like that. Anyway, we rushed her horse Tessa to the meeting place without her changing out of the dress she wore that day. That was a rare thing in and of itself, but she didn't care at the time."
He took a breath before continuing on, "Ian had brought a few friends to come watch, and Kiah was doing great as always. But she got a bit cocky after awhile and started taking Tessa higher, and didn't notice that she was getting too close to a certain branch. So, after jumping a higher log, the skirt of her dress got caught on it and ripped off." At this, you could barely make out the story from his tired laughter. "A-and she was wearing pink panties with k-kitties on them! You should have heard her scream! She ended up riding away and hiding while we all tried to stop laughing!"

"You should go talk to her sometimes, she's single, you know," Sil said mischievously, trying not to let the evil show through. It amused her to no end imagining Kyle running around the castle being chased by a Komurin-- she'd much rather Kyle be suffering than Lavi, whom Komui seemed to be quite wary of after the marriage wish. As he moved on to the promise, Sil quirked an eyebrow slightly; "A guy only wants to know about a girl's love interest when he's interested," she purred. "I suppose I can spy on her for you~"
Sil had been expecting the tale to likely be an inside joke that she would find amusing, but not side splitting hilarious. She started out with an amused smile that soon turned into a soft laugh as she began to realize where the story was going. However, the pink kitten panties caught her completely for a loop and Sil started to laugh just as hard as Kyle as she imagined a pissed off preteen Kiah screaming in horror. "T-that is... horrible," she gasped, covering her mouth a moment later as if she felt guilty for the hilarity of the story she had just heard. Her eyes were warm, the story seeming to have brightened the dour mood, and she ran her fingers along her eyes in case tears had formed from the laughter. "That sounds just like her, though... I'm guessing her and Ian never really hit it off, after that? Boys always seem to be in the center of a good old embarrassing story."

"Really~?" Kyle was glad to hear that Lenalee wasn't taken by some loser around the castle, knowing from rumors what would happen but wanting to try anyway. He cringed a bit at Sil's teasing, not interested in Kiah like that. "Nah, we're like siblings. I just want to see how much I can embarrass her in front of the guy."
"H-hey, it was her own fault that she tried taking it too far!" he whooped, defending their right to laugh at Kiah's expense. After taking a few deep breaths to stop laughing- and failing a few times- Kyle slowed to a small chuckle, ready to talk again. "Haha, no no... She avoided him like the plague for a month or so, and then he ended up moving. Surprisingly that story was old news after the first day, but even though no one else really cared, Kiah did. I think they would have been good friends otherwise."

"Of course Kiah did!" Sil exclaimed, her voice light with laughter that she couldn't quite shake, feeling like Kiah was going to spear her in the back of the head for discovering this information. "If that had happened to me I would have been mortified for the rest of my life. "I would have never worn a skirt again if that happened to me... and probably killed all the witnesses for this reason right here. Kiah's probably going to be furious if she finds out you told me that story..."
She grinned, the wheels in her head turning-- even though the evening was drawing on she wasn't really tired yet, but she suspected if she actually laid down for a while she might fall asleep. "You'll just have to tell me an embarrassing story about you next time, to make sure that I don't let this little tidbit of information slip... and by embarrassing I don't mean how you embarrass yourself daily, I mean actual, want-to-die embarrassment. I've wondered if you have enough shame to feel that way."

"Eh, I really don't see the big deal, I guess," he yawned flopping back down on the couch. "Yeah, she would probably kill us both, slowly and painfully." He nodded in agreement, not really noticing where that conversation was heading.
When Sil told him her little deal, he took the time to wrack his brain for anything he'd ever actually been embarrassed about. Only one thing came to mind, but it was something that happened with Kiah when they were younger. "Hmmmm... Maybe I'll tell you someday...~," he trailed off, blinking tiredly. "I think I'm just gonna... sleep here..." He rolled onto his side and passed out a few seconds later, breathing heavily.
