I have a question. What is Galvan II? I see the subforum, but I can't get into it. Will it be invite only? Just curious. I'd like to be more active here, but I always feel awkward trying to jump into an RP already underway.

Galvan II is the sequel to what was probably the most awesome roleplay to grace RPR ever. It had over 30 fairly active members and spanned around 150 pages by the time it ended, growing by pages every day. It took your mutant school concept and threw in the aspect of serious relationships--that was the focus, actually. And the members were not afraid of treading into unfamiliar territory--in fact, it was encouraged. The drama was tense and felt real--the characters were much more than their powers. It was masterfully dealt with. And huge. And I admired krome_devil for her superior awesomeness.

I'm guessing it won't be invite only, but you will have to fill out applications and probably post them in the Review section for krome, Pansa, and possibly a couple others to check out before you can start up in the RP.

It isn't open yet, however, because it isn't done yet. But the knowledge that it's coming excites me.

And never feel afraid to jump into an RP that is already underway. I usually read enough backstory to know enough for my character to not feel completely out of place and so that I feel competent as a writer. But if you create your character so that they have no previous relations with the any other characters, then you can interact with them from a purely neutral and new standpoint. Then you roll with it, learning the story as a roleplayer as your character interacts with the others. It's a lot of fun ^_^

And yes, I know technically how to insert a character, and I suppose I could do it if I wanted to, but I don't know, it always just feels weird, I guess. That, and trying to make sense out of 20+ backpages of story gets a little tiresome. sweatdrop

Galvan two will *not* be invite only. it will be open to anyone who applies and can meet the standards

But i hate to burst shadow phoenx's bubble especially after he said such *nice* things about me ^____^ *blushes* but it will *not* be a school anymore it will be a worldwide thing with focus groups of Suffra's and Paradigms and everything fighting for their sides. Relationships will still be the focus (if i can figure out how to keep it that way) but combat will be scaled way up and teenage angst way down.
