"Zykariel and Malikhai are home. there's downstairs having a meal with Fianna. how are you two doing?"
Malik walked over, rubbing his wife's back some and wearing his usual concerned and worry tempered look when it came to these kind of things and his youngest son of late.
"apparently malikhai's new female friend is giving him a bit of trouble, and no one knows her last name. So I'm going to find it on my own."

"Good as can be I suppose." She wasn't exactly sure how they were doing, she knew he wasn't happy at all with things and he was just tired now which would probably make him fussy. Hopefully she could put up with fussy...the way he was nuzzling his face into her shoulder with that slight noise he tended to make when he was going to be in such a mood was a good indicator. "I thought it was a foregone conclusion that you were going to do so regardless. And I'm not surprised he's frustrated. That what those kinds of things are all about...being so frustrated with whomever that you eventually leap the hurdle to put it to rest.

"Any child misbehaving is fair game." Shaking his head and then nearly losing his milk as Malikhai reminded him of that hilarious time in his young life. He couldn't have been much older than seven or eight. "She told him to move it, that she really was going to stab him. He refused." Shaking his head. "But she was so upset afterwards, too. Kept apologizing and she wouldn't touch knives for like a week. Then they went out into the woods and stayed there overnight." And they all knew what they did out there.
Chewing his food contemplatively, he shrugged. "I don't know. You probably won't see me. Races and such to do down here but we'll see. I still have that deal to work out with my father." Tapping his fork on his lips. "Gram Fianna?" Falling back into his childhood name for her. "What would a father want from his son? More than anything? And it's got to be something that the son typically wouldn't give unless he had the proper motivation."
She laughed as Lyssie raced off and Sevilin was willing to eat soup for her. He was such a good father. Shifting Kelligrin to her other hip, she moved up next to him and wrapped an arm around his waist. "Yes, but she's much cuter doing it than me, I think." Pressing a kiss to Kelligrin's cheek just to hear him giggle, she sighed. "Come on, Sevilin, let's go make your daughter happy and get you sick food."
Lyssie scampered through the dining room. "HiKarielKhaiGrammaFianna! I'mgettingsoupfordaddysohe'llfeelbetterkay?" Thus into the kitchen to order the bowls and then back out and shaking her head at her brother's plate of food. "Kariel! You're sick so you gots to eat soup!" Walking over and tugging the plate away from him and balancing it carefully in her hands to take it back to the kitchen. "You too, Khai! Don't boys know anything?"

"She does do it without the abbrasiveness that you do. " Grinning at her before shaking his head lightly with a sigh and gesturing that they should follow. "I hate sick food, I hate food in general right now...but she needs a little attention, she's been all but ignorned lately."
"Yeah but she still did it. It was funny sure, but at the same time horrifying. I remember because when you all came over to spend the night and kept on telling the story over and over again." Grinning then blinking as Lyssie came running through talking horribly fast. "Well Lyssie, I suppose we just forget." Plopping down in his chair, if anything to merely appease the girl. A look back to his friend, "Are you still agonizing over that?"
"Something that must be given up? Honestly Kariel, Kieran would be the one who deserves that question. His father rarely approves of anything that he does, but Kieran still does them despite that and his father still loves him despite it. He's not always proud of him, and he doesn't always agree or support him...but he still at least cares." Frowning for a moment in that sad way as she thought on Kieran...he should be here. Not her, but yet she was and he was... "But in my opinion...I suppose it's all very personal. Individualized to each situation...I would say the one thing that you've always denied giving him. Tangible or intangible. But sometimes, that's not an option either because to compromise is to lose who you are. Have to find a balance. Like Kieran would never give me up to please his father."

"Well, thank you very much. I love you too." Shaking her head in return and stepping through the doorway. "She has been pretty neglected. Letting her take care of you is probably the best remedy for that though." Plopping Kelligrin in a chair at the table and quirking an eyebrow at the boys and Fianna. "Are we having a party and someone forgot to invite me?"
"Party!" Clapping happily then looking at his sister. "Issie? Kelli have cake!"
He frowned, "I can't help it. Dad wants an answer and I don't know what to give him. I mean...I could give up my girl chasing but somehow I don't think that's what he wants from me. He's got something particular in mind, I know he does. But I don't know what it is." Blinking as his plate was taken and his parents came in all in one fell swoop. "Hey! Lyssie...I was eating that..." There went his pork chops, exchanged for...soup. He stared down at the steaming bowl a servant set in front of him and sighed. "Dammit."
"Forgetting is bad, Khai. I'll bring you soup after Daddy, kay?" Walking very slowly with the steaming bowl of soup that she very carefully set in front of her father. Plopping a kiss on his cheek, she shook her head at her brother. "No cake, Kelli. Gotta have soup." Thus back to the kitchen, repeating it all over again and bringing another steaming bowl out to Malikhai. By some miracle she managed not to slosh the hot soup all over herself, Malikhai or the floor. "There you go. Now you'll feel better." Patting Malikhai's cheek. "I love you, Khai. But you're stupid."

He moved over and rubbed his son's back and sat down by his wife.
"I'm hoping things will go well. but I'm concerned for both my sons. One's mental health, and one's emotional health. I think we should take this vacation as quickly as we can, get away from all this for a bit. maybe take an extended one if need be."

Galesen walked into the dinning hall as he shook his hands a little bit, blowing on each one of them softly. Steam could be seen rising up from them as they were bright red but it didn't have much affect on the elf. Quickly he asked a servant for a blow of warm water then turned to see that almost everyone in the house was already there either eating or just talking. "Hello everyone." With a small smile and nod he made his way to the table, sitting down with a small sigh then sticking his hands in the bowl that was brought to him a moment later.

"She's at least not afraid of odd medical conditions." Sitting down at the table though and watching as his daughter served up soup in place of anything anyone was eating. "You know I think Kel is the most well out of all of us." SHaking his head lightly and plopping a kiss on his daughter's head. "THank you dear, you're such a good nurse."
"Oh you know, boys being boys." Watching fondly as the little girl tried her hardest to make things as best as she could for the 'sick' people. "Zykariel, come now. Do it to make your sister smile. You can eat like a pig later." Reaching over and patting the teen on the shoulder. "And you'll think of something." Blinking at a familiar voice, "I'm not going to ask."
He snickered at the girl as he took up his spoon. "Stupid hm? You're gonna hurt my feelings if you keep telling me that. If I'm stupid then I shouldn't even eat your soup." Turning a look to Galesen, "Training hard?"
"Teenagers and toddlers, that's a lot of what they do. But I think you're right." Shrugging lightly, "I haven't been feeling exactly right either, all other recent experiences excluded. But you wanted Malikhai to invite that Kaelin girl. Better find out the information you want about her then and I suppose we should start making plans on who's going to handle different things. I know you'll leave Sevilin in main charge, because we both know he's not going." A soothing noise to their son who tried to get closer to her, even if it wasn't possible. Yeah the fuss was on the way. She didn't know if she could handle the fuss right now.

"After living with us for as long as she has, I don't think there's a possibility that anything could shock or surprise her now." Tugging on her pigtails affectionately as she strolled by. "Kelli can have some cake, Lyssie. It would make him very happy and he already ate sick food this morning."
She was utterly thrilled with all the attention and reached up on her tiptoes, pressing her lips to Malikhai's cheek to placate him. "Kisses make it all better. I told you I loved you." Silly boy. But she scampered off to the kitchen and grabbed a plate of cake then brought it back for Kelligrin. "Galesen's sick too!" Blinking. "You're supposed to eat the soup, not stick your hands in it. That's gross. Euwww."
Oh, he was overjoyed at the sight of that chocolate cake towering before him and he ignored his fork in favor of his hands. Taking a clump of cake, he bit into and grinned. "Cake!"
Still grumbling but he obligingly picked up his spoon and began eating the soup. "Mmm...thanks Lyss." Yeah, he could eat like a pig later, even though he resented that implication, and please his sister now with rather filling soup.

A look over to Fianna and he grinned. "There's nothing to worry about." Though he turned to the young blue drow before he smiled a little. "Got that right, decided to play around and try out some ideas for once, been going at it for a few hours before calling it quits." Taking his hands out of the water he flexed his fingers for a moment before sticking them back in. But suddenly Lyssie start to say he was sick. A look to the girl and he grinned a bit before shaking his head. "Nah I'm not sick, just been training that's all, and this here is warm water not soup. It'll help get the feeling back into my fingers soon enough." A small pause though before he shrugged. "I wouldn't mind some soup though, sounds good to have right about now."

"I'll handle him if you want."
He knew the fussiness too. so he gave his wife a kiss on the cheek, and grinned lightly.
"we know the routine, I pack the house in three or four bags, you unpack half of what I pack, I pile more stuff in, you tell me to leave the packing to you, and then we get ready to go."

"True." Turning a look to Galesen briefly in that uncaring and perhaps amused way that he often regarded the young elf with. "And don't let him eat too more or-...." Cut off as the child did exactly what he didn't want him to do, eating with his hands. Oh he was going to want to bathe that child now...at least wipe him down with a washcloth. Chocolate got everywhere and it was always sticky. But his look turned to Galesen with a frown as he corrected his daughter. "Techinically not being able to feel your appendages and sporting such side effects as you are indicates a medical condition that is not well, therefore you are ill."
"So kisses and love make it so I shouldn't be offended and I should start eating my soup now?" He sighed and shook his head before deciding to appease the little elf with eating his soup despite being more or less full from his lunch with Kaelin.
"I never said I was worried Galesen. Just like I said I wasn't going to ask." Shaking her head lightly, she had her own worries on her mind, and was seeking to look for distracting topics. "Malik said there was a trip to Andal in the works. Any of you going? Been a while since you've all graced the plane." Except for Sevilin, but it was unspoken forgone conclusion that he wasn't going anywhere near there. "New baby elf to play with and everything there." Thinking of which...she hoped that was all well too. Lateef was probably focusing on Kieran more than his new grandson at the moment...which was good and bad at the same time.
"Because you pack junk that we don't need and think that maybe we will need it when the nature of the plane says we won't need it. More important to bring things that are going to keep you comfortable around all that pollen and the like." Giving another look down to Dhairiss who now had a firm grip on her collar and was pulling a little hard. She was frankly surprised that Malik even made the offer...the man seemed so scared to do anything that may make his youngest give a negative reaction to his person and thus make things in the little elf's mind worse. "If you're sure you want to...you don't have to just because I'm off kilter. If I could deal with you in your younger years as such, this is cake."

She laid a hand on her husband's to tell him to let it all be. If Kelligrin wanted to eat with his hands, he could. If Galesen wanted to correct Lyssie, then he could. Lyssie could handle her own which she promptly did. "I believe I'll be staying here, Fianna. Sevilin and I will discuss whether or not any of the children have our permission to go and, depending on their wishes, get back to you. When and for how long?"
"That's right. Now you're being smart, Khai." Her attention moved back to Galesen and she shook her head. "How come your fingers can't feel? Mine always feel 'cause that's what they do." Wrinkling her nose. "That's what the sink is for." But she got excited and skipped off to the kitchen, coming back out with another steaming bowl of soup. This time she wasn't as careful since she'd carried out four other bowls without spilling and accidentally sloshed some of the soup onto the floor and very nearly into Galesen's lap. "Oops..."
Catching sight of his sister's almost, he hopped up and took the bowl from her, setting in front of Galesen and then studying her fingers to make sure she hadn't burned them. "You're fine." Walking into the kitchen, he grabbed a rag and wiped up the soup on the floor then tossed it back in the sink and sat back down.

"I pack for every circumstance, that's all."
A slight smirk.
"maybe. but right now your not int eh best of shape, and I know you're already drained enough. I can handle a fussy toddler just as easily as you can. Besides, I can't walk on eggshells all the time."

A blink as he looked at Sevilin for a moment, he saw that look he got from the drow for a quick second but then it was gone. So without taking a moment he turned back to his fingers and wiggled then for a moment, they seemed to be a bit better. A look to Fianna for a moment before he blinked then thought over what she spoke of. "I'm thinking that it be nice to go, it be nice to see a few familiar faces once again." He smiled a little at the thought of seeing Andal, oh it had been awhile.
Turning to Lyssie he smiled a little and chuckled. "Well I can't feel my fingers because I was practicing ice magic just a little while ago, they made my fingers go all numb from over doing it. Though I would of warmed them up if I haven't spent most of my energy practicing in the arena." Speaking of which the arena should be back to its normal state by now. A blink as she suddenly ran off and came back with another bowl, though this time it seemed the little one wasn't careful and Galesen manage to move the chair while sitting in it out of the way of the on coming bit of soup that manage to escape the bowl, but that didn't stop some of hitting his shoes. "You alright?" Though it seemed her brother came to check her out instead. Smiling he quickly grabbed the rag from the boy and wiped his shoe before giving it back. "Thanks for getting me the soup, it looks delicious." So on to eating it, even though his fingers still felt a little frozen.
