Vikaari Trahk Well I'm joining squad 12 because squad 12 is the best squad out of all the squads. I used to love squad 12 in other guilds that had squads, but then I had to be a leader of my own squad, I still remember the time when I was captain of squad twelve, because that was the only squad for me, I don't think any other squad could compare to that squad. Fine, here you go.

I don't find that funny at all...
It's not right to say squad when the proper term is division, and it sounds better. I think squad sounds dumb.

Actually, neither term is correct. Based on character books provided by Kubo himself, the Gotei is comprised of some 3,000 Shinigami, including the Captain's Council. Naturally, because the Gotei 13 has 13 units, this means each unit has roughly 200 Shinigami to it's name (yay math).
In military terms, the "Squad" unit refers to about eight to thirteen soldiers, and the "Division" unit refers to about 10,000 - 15,000 soldiers.
"Company" (80-225 soldiers) is actually the correct word to use, and it is very much present in the names for the units, sans the number added to the beginning of the word; Bantai (番隊, roughly "Guard Company"). This is something I find funny considering the term "Company" is already in the name, yet only the English manga properly refers to them as Companies, but not all the time for some reason.
I also find it amusing that Squad isn't in the direct translation of the proper name for the Soul Society's military (Goteijūsantai (護廷十三隊, 13 Division Imperial Guards)) yet scanners and VIZ use it like it's going out of style.
Of course, facts aside, I like Division better.
It's just a habit of hers; I wouldn't worry about it if I were you.

You, and your always having to be right... neutral
But nonetheless, Squad is still an improper term. And more than likely, the writer's on the English manga change often, since they probably don't care and just want to get volumes out ASAP.

It had nothing to do with me being right, I was putting it out there because a pointless argument in which both sides were wrong was about to erupt. My statements should prove to quell a bit of the argument, unless everyone decides to be a stubborn mule today.
Also, if you don't like me "having to be right" there's always the option of never disagreeing with me. You know, seeing as I've always been right in the past, it seems that it would be in your best interest to agree with me immediately and then save yourself the annoyance/headache/stare emoticon. :3

But you're not always right on every subject. And it's best to stop this debate before it gets out of hand.
If everyone always shut up, and just went with what was first said, then a lot of peope wouldn't have gotten where they were. Martin Luther King Jr. is a good example…
