Returning to the Common Room after a hard day in the training room, Kyle practically stumbled over to the couch with shaky legs, diving headfirst onto a pillow with a relieved sigh. He'd made a deal to watch Kiah while she got drunk as long as she helped him train, and was quickly regretting every second of it. He'd forgotten how ruthless she was when it came to working out, forcing him to keep going no matter how tired he was. Although it could have just been because she knew he was usually lazy and needed to be yelled at constantly to get moving.
Kyle stretched out on the couch a bit, figuring he might as well enjoy moving until tomorrow when he'd be too sore to get up. He slid his arms under the pillow and snuggled his face into it, ready to doze off right there. If he was feeling up to it, he would have grabbed a blanket to hide under, wanting to avoid his best friend for once.

YAY FOR DOING... SOMETHING <3 ))
Sil had woken up from a short stint of sleep, suffering from the illusions of dreams that sometimes brought her back to the Noah mansion that still hadn't left her mind. She started to treat nights where she woke up with a nightmare-ish start as a blessing in wolf skin, and when she knew she couldn't go back to sleep she would get up and always get some things done. Better to move her mind forward than to dwell. With that attitude she always felt better, knowing that as things went at the moment she could only rely on herself to ease nighttime woes.
That night, after a little work in the lab, she decided to take a walk around the grounds. Memories of her last outing with Kiah were far off in some other place, as when she roamed alone she only had to worry about herself. As she looked up at the clear spring sky, she couldn't help but smile ever-so-slightly as she remembered her walk with Lavi in Russia, and his lesson on astronomy that had so enamored her. The memory was a good one, even if it was mixed up in a highly confusing time where she could hardly tell up from down, and just that thought alone lifted her spirits.
As she returned to the castle and slipped into the Common Room, she spotted Kyle flopped down on the couch and felt a wave of sheer irritation rise through her. The door clicked behind her, and as quietly as possible she edged her way towards the kitchen hoping not to disturb the young man if she could avoid him. As far as she was concerned, she had nothing to say to him.

Kyle heard click that annouced someone's arrival and slowly lifted his head and opened his tired eyes to see who it was, ready to flop right back down if it happened to be Kiah insisting on round two of pure torture. When he saw Sil slinking away from the area he gave her a tired smile, looking like he was doped up on sedatives from his lack of ego.
"Good evening... or goodnight, Sil..." he yawned out, not even bothering to act charming. "How are you tonight at... four o'clock in the morning?" Kyle squinted at the clock for a second as his tired brain registered how late it was, turning to Sil and blinking in confusion. As far as he was concerned, neither of them should be up at the moment.

Sil's shoulders bunched around her neck, like a child that had been caught sneaking a peak at the Christmas presents. She sent a woeful gaze towards the door she was headed towards, and biting back any angry retorts that danced on the tip of her tongue, she turned to face the tired Exorcist who had addressed her. "Hey," she said in a less polite greeting, still feeling bitter about him kissing her body when she hadn't been in it, and his utter disregard about how she felt in the situation.
Even if she was too tired to bite the young man's head off, she didn't seem to be too eager to be involved in conversation with him. "I was just taking a walk, clear my head and get some fresh air, so I'm not too shabby," she shrugged her slender shoulders, which had finally relaxed into a less guilty posture. "I'm usually one of the only people up this late... what's up with you?" She quirked an eyebrow at him, her gaze narrowing as if she suspected he were up to no good, probably with someone of the female variety. At least she could be thankful that she had reclaimed ownership of her own body before Eira could have experimented further.

Kyle took no notice of any discomfort Sil may have felt while talking to him, seemingly more oblivious than he would usually be. He nodded along with what she was saying to show he was listening, even if his eyelids drooped every once in awhile. "That sounds nice... Although you should get more sleep... S'not good for you if you stay up so often..."
"I'm usually asleep WAY earlier than this... but Kiah was helping me train tonight. She might be all smiles and happiness everywhere else, but when it comes to working out, she's vicious..." he shuddered gripped the pillow tighter. The worst part was that she had him running around so late, but he understood the need for it. "She is great though... I don't think anybody else would bother getting my butt in gear."

Sil felt an odd confliction as Kyle said something that indicated he was an actual human being that cared about other human beings... other than Kiah, anyway. It was clear that he cared a great deal for the girl, considering their history together, even if she knew little about it. She smiled slightly, "I get by. I have too much on my mind sometimes, so I get up and get some of it out."
As he mentioned Kiah, a soft laugh came from Sil's lips, the hardness of her features softening slightly at the thought of their mutual friend. She had no doubt in the world that Kiah could run Kyle through the ringer, especially after seeing her pistol whip grown men and hold her own against a gang of them. "Good... You're way too soft. Never seen a guy crumple so fast from a punch to the gut," she couldn't help but taunt him a little, bring up his embarrassing fall from grace. There wasn't even the slightest hint of regret to her voice, and she hoped that Lavi felt no regrets either. "Considering how slow I was in that body," she clicked her tongue disapprovingly, though a smile touched her lips as she was simply taunting him further.
"Its nice you two are so close still," Sil commented a little off hand, her lips quirking down into a small frown that she quickly pushed away. She missed that intimacy, and furthermore the person it often belonged to, but dwelling helped her very little. "Where did she learn to kick a** like that, anyway? It's clearly not a Minnesota thing~"

"Hmmm... I guess I understand." Kyle frowned at the thought of his most recent sleepless nights after that talk with Kiah. He still had not clue what to do with the information that could potentially crush the girl... Shaking his head of the thoughts, Kyle had the sense to pout at Sil's insults, taking them good naturedly.
"Well excuse me! I apparently don't beat on random people enough to contend with you guys. I promise, I'll start trying harder," he half-joked, genuinely wanting to get better so he could fight and show off. Had Kiah been around, he was sure that he would be able to at least hold his own against the Exorcist in front of him. "Besides, Eria has hard fists..."
Kyle smiled a bit at the comment, glad that he and Kiah were on speaking terms at all after what happened. "Pft, apparently not... She's always been pretty tough, I guess. She used to work out and run around the woods all the time to get her mind off of things and get out of the house..." He was being a little careful getting into this territory, but he was definitely saying more than he should have.

"That was not random," Sil said, waggling a finger at him, and though the gesture might have been intended to be threatening, it was anything but. "You're just lucky I hit you before Lavi did. He packs a way harder punch," she couldn't help but smile at the idea of Lavi decking Kyle, trying not to let her imagination amuse her too much. She had been so outraged herself that she had beat Lavi to the punch, no pun intended. Even if she didn't want him to be violent, she was glad he had cared enough to protect the honor and integrity of her body.
At that point in the conversation, she moved over to one of the near by chairs and settled down with a gentle fold of her legs. Even if he wasn't her ideal choice for company, she had to grudgingly admit to herself that it was nice to have companionship so late in the night. "Oh yeah?" Sil said with keen interest, drawing her legs up to her chest so she could rest her chin atop her knees. Her dark brown eyes were steady on Kyle, hungry for information, "Get her mind off of things, huh? She seems so chipper... what kind of things did she need to get her mind off of?"

(( Nah, I think they were avoiding each other and saying they couldn't work together anymore... I'm pretty sure Lavi was talking about chasing girls at some point. : | ))
Kyle groaned at the thought of the two of them beating on him, glad that Sil wasn't in her original, deadlier, body at the time. "He doesn't need to punch when he can just stomp on everyone after you take them down..." He scowled tiredly, hoping to get to the point where he can defend himself better.
"Chipper? Yeah, I suppose... that or just... blank, is a good way to say it..." Kyle answered, propping his head up on his hand so that he could be more alert. He stared at the wall in realization, knowing that he backed himself into a corner and causing him to chew his lip nervously. "Well... she didn't get along well with her mother or brother," he shrugged, not giving away any details.

She couldn't help but smile proudly at that idea, leading the way through their crusades. "It's called team work~" she sang.
At the mention of Kiah again, however, Sil's smile faltered and disappeared. There was recognition in that term that made her stomach churn; many of the individuals who came to the Order were weighted down with heavy pasts, and the look on their faces when they first came to them fell perfectly into that category. Blank. She had felt like that when she had traveled with Tiedoll, numb and distanced from the world around her. She had wanted nothing to do with anyone, only to have her antisocial distance breeches and obliterated over time. Sil wondered further why Kiah would share that feeling, and recalled times where she had distanced herself from the smallest of physical affection.
"That's... unfortunate," Sil said slowly, pulling at her bottom lip with a gentle bite much like Kyle's own mannerisms. "But... I... assume most people fight with family, right?" Her voice was hopeful; it had been a long time since she had been around her own siblings, too young to remember the relationships very deeply. "I don't have... the best experience to draw off of, but that seems to be what most books tell me."
