"It doesn't hurt Kerri..." He took a few steps towards her not knowing if she would welcom him or not. "I like the feeling, I always have. It too is in my nature." Why did she refuse still? What had he done wrong? "Don't be sorry...I'm independent and I shouldn't have let my emotions go like that, but now it's too late." He wondered if he should tell her that he was leaving. She would either ask him to stay, or hate him. He didn't know which he prefered at the moment.

She just looked at him for a moment, still in silence. However, before she even realized what she was doing, she was up and in front of him, gently pressing her head against his chest, her arms reaching up and dangling over his shoulders. "You shouldnt be afraid to let your emotions out," she practically whispered as she closed her eyes. Listen to your own advice stupid! Those were the words that coursed through her mind incessantly, though she kept trying to block them out.

He held her against him. "I fear nothing. It's just...emotion is not a part of me. I'm an incubus, I give pleasure, not emotion. I am an object of lust and not love. I play a different game than romance, I play passion. My life has no room for emotion, but this time it has been forced out if even a little bit." He stood there with his arms wrapped around her. He would leave the next day and be done with it. He no longer had anything to stay for. This city was tainted to him.

She looked up at him, her eyes sparkling slightly in the moonlight. "I didnt mean to cause trouble for you..." Her tone was completely sincere. Gently she brushed her hair out of her face, the mix of red and black appeared to glitter as she brushed it on behind her shoulders, biting down on her lower lip gently; her little nervous habit she always found herself doing in extremely out of character situations.

"Don't worry about it. It's nothing that can't be fixed." He would fix it himself, away from this place. "Take care of yourself Kerri..." With that he let her go, staring at her lips before he turned. He began walking away wistling the same tune that he did when he entered this city. It was the same tune he'd be wistling when he left. Like a mix of jazz and classic rock, it made someone want to live an upbeat life. Often times, that wistling was his only real companion.

As he started to walk away, she couldnt help it. Taking a few quick steps after him, she blurted out a "Wait!" before grabbing ahold of his hand and using it to pull herself to him, pressing her lips against his for a drawn out moment. As she went to pull away, she gently ran her fingers down his jawline, speaking softly, "You dont have to leave, you know..." Inside her chest her heart was pounding, her stomach was fluttering wildly. Her lips lingered close to his as she spoke, her body pressed against his gently a she stood on her tiptoes to keep herself slightly level with him.

He wanted to say that he didn't have a reason to stay. But that kiss gave him a reason, even if it was a slight one. He wanted to laugh at the sheer irony that was unfolding, but he didn't. He returned another kiss after their lips parted. This wasn't the seductive kiss of an incubus. It was a passionate kiss of someone who wasn't quite a lover, but more than a friend. When he pulled his lips barely away after a few moments, he finally spoke with a voice that sounded half releived and half confused. "What will we do? What about your people?" He wanted to know if she ahd come to any kind of desicion regaurding her profession.

She returned his kiss with equal passion, her arms alowly wrapping around his neck. She sighed slightly as he asked her what she was going to do. When people talk about a tough decision, they never mean something like this. She was forced to pick between a job that she loved and a person that she had never really felt this way about in her whole life. Whatever her decision, she knew that she would have to come to terms with Will; about it at some point.

She looked up at him, her eyes steady as she took a deep breath, "I cant give up what i do...it is a part of me...and i just hope that you can come to terms with that. However, that doesnt mean that im going to suddenly go around shooting every immortal i see...not that i ever did. I suppose i could always go...free lance?" It was obvious that she was trying to lighten up a dark situation for her. At least she would need a bit more time to decide what she was truely going to do. She just hoped that he would accept that answer as enough for now.

He sighed. He didn't want her to go back alone. That kiss gave them an unspoken bond now. He'd be damned to a deeper hell than he already was if he let them harm her. But what could he do to covnince her to let him come? And how would he cope with her killing immortals. "Promise me something...don't kill anyone unless they deserve it. Because a vampire does not deserve death simply by trying to survive..." They were his views and if he was going to cop with her hunting, he hoped she would cope with him. "And I'm not letting you go back to the Haven alone."
PostPosted: Wed Oct 05, 2005 9:56 pm

Gently she laid her hand on his cheek, smiling, "Of course i promise that. Its a no brainer." Leaning in to kiss him once more, as he mentioned Haven, her eyes widened slightly. Glancing down at her watch, she cursed under her breath. Cookie was going to start wondering where she was soon. Rubbing her eyes, heavy wth exhaustian, she looked around. She was only a few minutes from her apartment.

Looking at him, she couldnt help but chuckle softly, "Without sounding like a drunken prom date, i need a shower and a change of clothes. My apartment isnt far from here, so your welcome to come if you want. We can discuss Haven later." Inside however, she was worried. There was no way she could take him with her without running into some sort of security breach. No matter, she would have to figure something out later.

He nodded. "Very well." He looked down at his atire, not something he'd want to wear to a hunter's base. "Though I may have to barrow some clothes." He never did like to fight with hunters anyways. If they gave him any gruff his mind and claws would be enough. But it was best not to inspire hostility by going in with his battle gear on. He kissed her once more and stepped aside. "Lead the way..." It still felt strange to him. He'd just commited to a relationship with a hunter, strange indeed....

Motioning for him to follow her, she stepped to the side of the fire escape, simply dropping over the edge of the roof and plummeting down into the alleyway below. As she landed with minimal noise, she straightened up, made sure he was with her, and began walking towards her apartment building, in thought. Everything had happened so quickly, and it seemed that it was just now setting in what was really going on. She was a vampire, thinking of renouncing her membership to the hunters, and was in a realtionship with a demon. She made sure that he was right beside her the whole time as they walked, though she could think of nothing to say.

Tara walked down Broadway, her mind was jumbled with thoughts. The reak and foul stench of rotting bodies was everywhere and there was no escaping it. "Nobodies helped them. Pa." She spoke with slyness and almost laughed. Nobody had come to help these people, who were either mostly dead or living off what was left in the city.

The large femme rested on her haunches in the crevice of some building looking outward on the city. She almost preferred that endless rain to this needless destruction. She wouldn't feed on these bloated corpses even if she were emaciated, but the stench was worse. It's curdling fumes could no longer be escaped; Within this city at least. Some might have considered packing up and heading out at this point, but she'd only just gotten here and she was never one to abandon a decision anyhow. Alone in this stinking city, she leapt from her outcropping and carefully picked her away amidst the debris with an almost feline grace.

The daylight brought things into prospective about how badly the city had been hit and the death toll. Haz-Mat teams were working with Army Bio-Warfare and a few private companies to clean the place up. So far they had started to clear the outter edge the city and were slowly cleaning down and decontaminating the areas as they went about thier grid pattren.

At night it was different, only the moon and stars to see by...yet you could see the areas being cleaned up from the lights of thier generators. It would be awhile before they got here. Bridget figured they would try and restore the more important areas first, but that didn't really concern her for she was on the hunt. To
many of the UN-natural elements too got caught in this disaster and couldn't get out.... they would be hungry/starving by now. Bridget and Sanchez picked up some info that some creature/creatures were at this apartment complex and all it cost them for the info was three cans of food(times were desparate for some).

The night was cloudy and they felt a drop of rain every once in awhile while they set up Bridget was the sniper and Sanchez her spotter and back up. They waited
for hours on the roof top waiting for the nite to get darker so whatever was in there to come out. It was about 2am that several people came out of the front of
the apartment and were standing about for a bit. Sanchez counted 5 and gave Bridget the distance and wind to targets(thermal opticals classified them as vampires). Bridget put the UV clip into the rifle and chambered a round. She took aim and held her breath while she squeezed the trigger. The second vampire only hadn't even time to react before his head exploded like the first, the other 3 ran for it.

Well that was it for tonite and they made thier way to the car and drove back to the "BatCave" as Bridget was beginning to call it. They drove with the headlights off so nobody would spot the lights and made it back to the safely.
