Maven looked up at the other girl. She could feel the tears springing to her eyes at the invitation. She quickly put her head down and nodded. "T-t-thank you" Maven bowed politely at the girl she believed her name was Nina.
She looked around at the group and realized Keegan wasn't back yet. "W-we should w-wait for Keegan f-f-first."
oh yeah that sounds great girl...stutter out a suggestion they'll listen to that.

"Awesome job, Ky! You too, Little Guy. That was pretty bomb," the brunette cheered, grinning from ear to ear. She raised a hand before herself, offering a high-five to the younger boy as he neared her. Ulani too chirped congratulations to her fellow Bird-type, albeit there was sympathy in her eyes as she looked upon his sheared wing.
"Definately. I'm wiped out," M.A. laughed sheepishly, supressing a sudden yawn that supported the fact. She glanced across the stadium in the general direction that Bugsy had disappeared in -- was she supposed to make an appointment or something, or forewarn him of her coming tomorrow? She wasn't used to these gym battles or regulations. . . After all, it'd only been a week after she'd left home. A week. Wow. . . So much had happened.
"You guys really did great, though. How's it feel?" She hoped she'd be able to accomplish the same feat tomorrow -- it'd be a tough one, and her first, so she felt some nervousness revolve in her head.

"Here you are ma'am! All rested up and raring to go!" Nurse Joy said with a cheery smile.
Hana jumped up from the sofa she was sitting on. She quickly dropped the magazine she was reading on the sofa, preparing to carry the pink blob that was Hasashi. "Arigato, Nurse...Joy!" Hana replied just as cheerfully, stumbling a bit from the extra weight. Hana thought she heard Joy mutter something about losing some pounds as she returned to her post . . . But her mind was elsewhere. "Ok, Hasashi, ready to go explore this new world?!" Hana exclaimed, practically hopping on one foot. Hasashi yawned in reply. She took that as a yes.
"Oh, wait.. we can't forget why we're here in the first place. The performance.." Hana uttered a small groan. She grabbed the Pokenav hanging off of her belt and flipped it open. "Let's see.. when is the performance scheduled for..?" She muttered, scrolling through her messages, 2 of which were new and unopened. She stopped at one labeled 'Slateport Summer Festival' and opened it.
Hanako-
Here is the schedule for your first performance in Hoenn. You will be singing at a Summer Festival located on the Slateport Beach. July 1st at 7'o'clock PM. Try not to keep those viewers waiting again? Good luck, and make sure to have fun.
-Takeshi Harasaki, Manager
"Like I don't know he's my manager.." Hana rolled her eyes at his 'title', before snapping the Pokenav shut. "We have a few days to look around this area before we perform.. and then go back home..." Hana said mostly to herself, in a somewhat sad tone.
And you don't want to go back, do you? Hasashi questioned. Hana and Hasashi were so very close, they were able to communicate without words.. telepathically, if you will. "Well, it's not like I can do anything about it!" Hana snapped back. At this point, she had set Hasashi on the sofa, for he was too heavy for her to hold for so long. She sighed. "I don't have much of a choice... But that's ok. I want to make people happy. Especially with singing. It makes me happy to see other people happy.. I really have no reason to complain." She set a smile on her face.
Why not just run away then? At least while you're here. You can do your 'exploring thing'. I'm sure people have other ways to be happy, too. And don't you want to be happy yourself? Because you obviously aren't. Hasashi replied intelligently. He looked up to watch Hana's expression change from mildly depressed to plotting..
"You know, for a Slowpoke, you have some good ideas..." Hana replied, grinning. A plan was forming in her head...~

Kasiya continued to smile, and sip her hot chocolate. Maven didn't seem too keen on sharing what was bothering her, and Kasiya understood perfectly. After all, they were still practically perfect strangers to one another. Something bad has happened to her in the past, the girl thought, watching Maven's reaction to the invitation to breakfast. Otherwise she wouldn't be shying away from us like that.
She then cast a longing glance towards the gym door, and nodded. "You're right, Maven," Kasiya nodded. "We should wait for him. Which reminds me, I should probably go get my backpack. It won't do me much good if I leave it lying around in the gym." She chuckled a bit, feeling moderately sheepish for having forgotten such an important thing as she walked back into the gym, hoping to see Keegan on her way in. A disappointed sigh escaped her throat as she headed towards the girls' quarters, finding her things exactly as she left them. It was at that moment she heard a muffled chirp from her PokeNav, the chime signaling she had a new message. She flipped the slender, red device open, reading the message aloud.
Kassie: A lil' Spearow told me that you managed to beat that old stiff Koga yesterday, and I wanted to know if you'd be willin' to come home and have a rematch with yer old man. I'm warning ya though, I ain't goin' easy on ya this time. Bring yer best, that is, if yer not afraid. Surge
Kasiya nearly laughed out loud at the message, mainly because her father's gruff way of speaking had managed to translate over a text message, and also that he'd signed it 'Surge.' A grin was etched on her face as she quickly wrote up a reply.
Dear Lt. Surge; You're on. ~Kassie
After her message had been sent, she made sure the rest of her things were in order before she slung her backpack over a shoulder, and turned to rejoin the others outside.

Deciding against reprimanding his Pokemon, Keegan chose just to recall them, and straightened up the room as best he could before heading out. He could see that Kasiya just ahead of him, and he quickened his pace to catch up with her. "So what's the game plan for today?" he asked, doing up a few of the buttons on his long, dark coat. "Heading for the next gym?"
To be honest, he didn't really care where they went today, so long as he kept himself distracted from the day's previous events. A part of him still couldn't believe that Helios was gone, but another part of him was just as eager to continue Mori's training. He also couldn't help but wonder if Sheena was okay; from the way Sheridan had spoke, their father was a ruthless, strict man, and Keegan doubted that he'd take kindly to one of his daughters running away from home.

"Ratata, Quick Attack!" Train said, and Ratata, even slowed, slammed into the Caterpie super fast. The Caterpie attacked with a Tackle, though not much damage was given to Ratata.
"Bite!" Ratata bit Caterpie again, and the small bug pokemon fainted. "Alright!" Train said, and grinned, returning the mouse pokemon. She enjoyed winning, though it's not as if she would have a fit if she lost.
Train walked back to Goldenrod, and healed her pokemon at the Poke'Center. She decided to head over to the huge department store to see what they had.

"Well that didn't work too well," Miharu groaned, eyeing the Graveler carefully as it unfolded its massive arms, leering tauntingly at Lily. The Bulbasaur would have none of that, though, and she let out a fierce growl that seemed to shake the large Rock Pokemon to its very core. Its ability to attack hindered slightly now, the Pokemon curled into a ball at its trainer's command and rolled towards Lily at an alarming speed - Rollout. The Bulbasaur could do nothing to avoid it, crying out as the Graveler's solid form crashed into her, and continued rolling, coming around for another hit. "Leech Seed!" Miharu called, her eyes darting back and forth between her two Pokemon. Lily grunted, pulling herself up as four bullet-shaped seeds shot out from atop her bulb, planting themselves in the cracks and fractures of Graveler's hide. The bigger of the two Pokemon groaned at the feeling of his health being leeched from him
Aska was faring rather well against the Machop on her own, though, as she kicked up a cloud of sand into its face in order to blind it. The Machop swung its fists around in fury, trying to connect with the little bird, but it was to no avail. So long as the Pidgey stayed in the air, she had an advantage. The bird's keen eyes spotted the Graveler arching around to attack her teammate, and Aska let out a screech, flying up and creating a large Twister that enveloped both opposing Pokemon, and buffeting them with bits of debris from the ground as well as the gusts of wind from the Twister.

Kasiya jumped a little at Keegan's sudden appearance at her side, but she quickly calmed herself, and grinned at him. "Well, first we're going to head out to Celadon and grab some breakfast, and maybe do a little shopping." She thought for a moment, reminding herself that the next gym was located on Cinnabar Island, which was quite the distance from where they were right now. "I don't know about Nina and the others, but I will be heading to a gym, but not for a badge," she smirked, thinking about her father's rash decision to challenge her again. Surely he knew just how much stronger her Pokemon had become since their last match, so why was he asking for another defeat? "Say Keegan," Kasiya said suddenly, stopping and taking one if his hands into hers. "Would you like to come and meet my dad? He just sent a message challenging me to a rematch, and I accepted, and well, I was hoping you'd want to come along with me. I think he'll like you," she added hopefully, although she wasn't sure if that would truly be the case or not.

Joeseph held up his hand to stop the boy and his Pokemon. "If I recall correctly..." he slipped his finger into his mouth, removing it with a light pop and holding it up. A slight chill went over his hand and he nodded. "Ah! The place with the light draft!" Mr. Ranmo turned to Mike and pointed up. There was a very thin crack in the ceiling, in which light was peeking through. "Dig here, my boy!"
He slammed his shovel into the ground, breaking the rocky floor slightly. Taking his pick ax, he began hacking away the crack that he had made, grunting with each collision. "The key...Ung! Is to hit...Ung! And drag..Ung!" To demonstrate, with each hit, he pulled the pick along the ground a bit, which created light scratches. He paused. "You see, doing that will weaken the rock ever so slightly, and you can break it later." He waved his hand, "Dig a few feet over there. It'll raise our chances, if you think about it." He smiled through his mustache.

"What...are you talking about?" Kilik bit his thumb lightly. He'd never had to battle another Flareon before, and he wasn't sure if it would fight exactly like his own. He stared at the female Flareon before glaring up at Rebecca.
"This!" she giggled, "Flareon, use Roar!" The female began growling lowly, moving very slowly towards the other fox. She snarled and then let out a mighty bark. The crowd whistled at this.
Flareon took a step back, retreating. Suddenly, he slammed his eyes shut and began to glow red. The Pokeball in Kilik's hand began to shake lightly and then recalled the Pokemon he had chosen. "What! No way!" He bit his lower lip and then felt another ball on his belt pop open, releasing Scizor onto the field. She appeared in her standard pose, kneeling down with her arms crossed over her chest. The flurry of stars that followed made the crowd whistle loudly and gaze in awe at the oddly colored Scizor. The Pokemon slowly stood up and glanced at the opposing Flareon. "Wait! Scizor...?" he blinked, "I don't remember calling for you! You're not what I wanted to use!"
She shook her head. "You still don't get it? Roar frightens your Pokemon so much that it makes them retreat!" she giggled, "Then it chooses the next Pokemon in line. Isn't it wonderful?" She smiled, "Now! Flareon, Flamethrower!" The female fox jumped into the air and opened her mouth, unleashing a massive stream of fire. Scizor's eyes widened and she jumped back, the attack connecting with her legs. It hurt - bad. She fell to the ground with a crash, struggling to stand up. Yet...she couldn't. The lower half of her legs were so badly burned, she couldn't stand up! What good was she now?!
The crowd booed loudly, yet they seemed drowned out by the group that was on Rebecca's side, who were cheering loudly. "Scizor..." Kilik groaned, "She can't stand up! I call for a reselection!" He clenched his fists tightly. The referee shook his head.
"Sorry, Mr. Ranmo. Roar is perfectly legal and switching now will cause disqualification," he pointed up at the large scoreboard behind Rebecca, "As you can see, Scizor has already been highlighted as one of your Pokemon.
Kilik swung his head and looked, growling. Both Flareon and Scizor's pictures were bright. "Alright..." he whispered lowly. He could still hear Rebecca laughing.

Jaeshan withdrew another Pokeball, and glanced at it once before he sent it spinning onto the battlefield. "All right Mightyena, go! Your opponent is weak! Take Down attack, now!"
The Dark-type appeared on the field in a flash of light, growling and snarling. He bared his fangs menacingly towards the poisoned Fearow, who suddenly didn't want to attack the fierce Pokemon in front of him. Mightyena's Intimidate had been successful, and the black Pokemon shot forward, his claws ripping into the earth to help him gain momentum. Mightyena jumped up, slamming his body into the frightened Beak Pokemon, sending them both to the ground in a tangle of fur and feathers. Both sustained minor damage from falling, but were able to get up once more.
"Fearow, are you okay to go on?" Lisa cried worriedly, watching as her Pokemon hobbled around on the ground. It seemed the impact of the fall had damaged a wing, and the bird was having trouble taking flight again. The bird nodded though, signaling that it had at least one or two good attacks left in it. "Good then. Give them a taste of your Tri Attack!"
Jaeshan gulped at those words, and watched as the Fearow opened its beak wide and sent out a beam of swirling colours at Mightyena, who had little time to react. The attack blasted him in the shoulder, and sent him skidding back several feet. Mightyena whimpered slightly as he pulled himself up. The attack had left a nasty burn on his shoulder, and partially down his side. The Dark-type snarled, and narrowed his eyes at his opponent. That bird would pay.

The boy's heart spiked in excitement, maybe this was it! "Okay!" He shouted as he practically leapt over Mr. Ranmo as he bend over to shovel, Portabello following with a graceful hop. After taking a few measured steps to assure he was spaced enough away from the senior fossil expert, he took shovel in hand and thrust it into the ground. As the metal end connected with the hard dirt, he was reminded of his clean up task back home, the day after he won the bout with Flannery, the day after he told her how he felt. A warm feeling rushed through his body as a smile showed on his face. As he heaved his shoulders and ripped into the earth, he felt that two wouldn't be enough.
Portabello, would you mind helping in that little patch over there? Mike pointed a few yards to his left with a tilt of his head.
Without an instance of hesitation, the Breloom bowed. Yes Master. As he stood over his digging spot, Portabello leaned forward, positioning himself on all fours. Using his clawed hands, he began to scrape the top of the ground, little by little making his way downward in search of the fossil.

Steffi sprinted over to the victorious Pikachu and embraced him really hard.
"Chaaa!" Sparky exclaimed. Steffi worriedly realised he was badly hurt by the battle with the weedle.
"Aw, you poor thing.." she whispered into his ear. She hesitantly stood up. She raised her right hand towards her waist where his pokeball stood, and un-clippd it. Enlarging it in her hand, she pointed it at the pikachu. "Come on, Sparky, come back into your pokeball." she commanded. A bright red light came out of the pokeball and aimed at the pikachu. Sparky was embraced by the light, and vanished.
Steffi sprinted really quickly throuh the path, avoiding the grass in case another pokemon may show up. Without realising it, she found out she was heading back to CherryGrove city. It was too late to turn back now. She continued until she was back at her familiar town. She walked into the Pokemon Center and quickly gave the nurse Sparky's pokeball. When the nurse told her to wait for a few minutes, Steffi walked over to a seat and plumped down on it like an exhausted marshmellow.

"I am in nowhere near the mood to deal with whatever in the heck you are right now so please go away." Z said tryng not to sound afraid from his place behind the chair as he watched the shadowy figure slowly walk towards him. As he got closer to Z his face was revealed. "No that's impoissible! My life is never this cliche!" Z said as the shadowy figure was revealed as a slightly more sinister looking version of him. Bizarro Z laughed a bit, in a manner that sounded slightly more malicious than normal Z's laugh. "Okay this is getting a bit creepy and I would be pleased if you'd leave." Z said taking a few nervous steps back as his opisite began to walk towards him. Suddenly the alternate dissapeared in a puff of smoke. "Well that's a relief. That guy was totally freaking me out." Z said sighing. He heard giggling behind him and before he could react there was a knife to his throat. "Now you are going to shut up with your wisecracks and refrences of, awesome as they may be, stupid tv shows. You are going to listen to me. Got it!" Shadow Z said moving the knife a few inches away from Z's throat so he could talk. "Yes." Z whimpered.

"Poochy, Tackle then jump away!"
Poochy charged into Mawhile, sending it backwards. Then it tackled near a tree and rebounded off of it.
"Mawhile, Crunch!"
Mawhile swung its head and bit Poochy twice.
