Sojiro scratched the back of his head.

"nah nah nah, I guess I should've said that. I wasn't thinking."

Sojiro grinned, and turned, walking out the door.

"See ya Ogee-chan. I'm heading to the leaf village."

Iroh coughed, turning away to the other students.

"Of course you are." stare

It was a long time comming but Aramaki had mede it to the ninja academy. Now he knew that it would be a matter of time before hie became a full fledged ninja. Then he would become a great ninja, one of the greatest in all the land. Aramaki had delusions of greatness, like many other ninja who step into the shinobi profession. The difference between Aramake and others was Aramaki's delusions were deeply in grown. He would never be rid of them. But alas, that would always be the thorn of the Gekkou clan, their delusions of grandeur

It is an interesting thing to talk about Aramaki. His father was already dead. His father had died of the afliction that burdended all of those of the Gekkou clan. With that, the whole clan took up the paternal slack. This was a good thing in some ways, but in others, it was a very bad thing. His clansmen are good people. They treated him well. They acknowledged his skill as a ninja and a swordsmen. They made sure that his chores were done and that he remained somewhat humble, at least for a Gekkou.

One might not realize it at first but this, however, this was too much of a good thing. It can be very confusing when you are young and being passed around like he was subjected to different types of parenting. One moment he was spoiled with candy and sweets, the next minute he was going through greuing trainings. Whatever kind of mental state that kind of playing hot and cold strategy can put a child, you need only look at Aramaki to find out. To him life was just to confusing to be comfortable.

Sojiro walked in front of the academy, turning back to look at Iroh.

"You ready for this Ogee chan? You never seen anything like this. Take- Yari!"

A single bamboo pole popped up out of the ground and swayed in the wind for a moment, then toppled over.

"Well... maybe I'll just stick to walking on trees for right now. Take-Recede..."

Sojiro lowered his hands, and the bamboo shrunk back into the earth.

(Just so people know, Its not an extra jutsu, it just lets the bamboo be cleared away as to not obstruct the fight or the front of some building or anything like that. I rarely use it.)

Sojiro faced his opponent. A tree. At least it wasn't 'the log'. God he loathed the log.

>>>

he darted off. Low to the ground, his head forward and his arms flailing behind him in the usual shinobi run, he made a mad dash for the tree.

He pulled his head up and his feet came with him. He was on a good start, his feet had both been planted on the tree no problem. He continued to run up, not even activating the chakra on the bottom of his feet yet. s**t. He should've done it then. Sojiro reached next to his side, and unsheathed his sword, slicing at the tree, and then falling off of it. He turned around, and did a mid flip, and landed back on the ground. He sheathed his sword, looking up.

"How'd I do?"

"A whopping 4 yards. Good job. NAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAT!"

Iroh said, pointing and laughing at Sojiro.

On his mental state, maybe it was a little bit exagerated when it was said that he, in a nut shell, was crazy. However, he deffinently is not normal. Though, I must say that normalcy is over rated. None the less, raised in wnat could be described as a broken home of sorts (at least a unstable one), exibiting delusions of grandeur, those were most definently not signs of stability. However, time would tell on whether Valkiron would be able to deal with such problems in the future, or whether they would take control of him in the end. The crappy thing, however is that in the long run that will always remain Aramaki's decision.

None the less, why don't we get to the story at hand. Aramaki was spending some time at a ramen stand. It was good food, not extremly healthy, but good enough to make it through the day. He paid for the ramen and left the stand. After that he started to make his way towards the academy. This was his first day and he hoped to make a good impression on the instructors. Aramaki had an idea that he would just breeze through the classes like they were nothing. He felt that there was nothing that was stopping him from being the best in his class and all that crap.

After a few minutes of walking, Valkiron made his way to the walls of the great complex. His excitement was at its peake at that moment. He could not believe that this was happening to him. He pinched himself to make sure that he was not dreaming. After a few deep breaths to calm himself down, Aramaki pushed the doors open and walked into the compound of the academy. He looked around and saw that the place was sparsly decorated, obviously understanding the importance of space over beauty.

Not that he place was not decorated at all. There was a row small cherry blossoms planted on either side of the gate door stretching towards the front door of the main building of the academy. Other then that, the front of the school was dominated by two huge sparing grounds on either side of the rows of trees. The academy building itself was nicely painted (what Valkiron did not know was that only the front of the building had a new paint job. Indeed, the people had made a point to make the place have the illusion of professionalism.

Valkiron wandered the grounds before finally entering the building. During his tour, Valkiron saw that the building was not completly painted. That just made the place look sad and unprofessional. Along with that, when Aramaki turned the corner, he saw quite possibly the nicest garden ever. The only part ot the grounds that was green, other then those trees in front. The grass was trimmed neatly so one knew that this was no normal occurance. No, most deffinently this place was being taken care of by someone.

Valkiron walked towards the garden to get a better look at it. The place was certainly not at a lack of flowers. Not just that, the flowers, or at least the ones that Aramaki had seen were beautiful. THey were beautiful to the point of being perfect. THis showed that whoever was taking care of the this garden really knew what they were doing. As Aramaki got even closer, he saw the pond near the middle of the garden. It was at that moment the Aramaki realized just how thirsty he was. He moved swifty towards the pond and stopped infront of it. He bent down and took a long drink of the water.

Hisame Aisuame
Art of Substitution
Hidden Rain

[1/4]
Hisame sat in an large clearing, playing cards with his sensei. His sensei was a tall man, wearing a normal, blue shinobi vest, black shirt, and black pants. Hisame threw a red poker chip down. "Alright, show em" said his sensei. They both laid down their cards. "Ha! Full house!" his teacher shouted. "Gah! How do you always beat me!" In some friendly anger, the boy picked up three crads and threw them like ninja stars. As they hit his sensei, there was a puff of smoke, and lying there was a log with three cards in it.

[2/4]
Hisame's sensei stepped out from behind the tree. "You have a pretty good arm!" The boy was confused for a few seconds, then realized his sensei had used the art of substitution. "Can you teach me how to do that?" Hisame pleaded. "Do you really want to know?" "Of course!" "Well, alright, lets get started. First, find something that has about the same mass as you do. The log I used should do." Hisame grabbed the log, and turned it upright. "Check," he said.

[3/4]
"Alright, Hisame. Focus your chakra in the shape of your body around the log. Imagine your chakra enveloping it." Hisame focused himself on the log. He could almost feel his chakra farming around the log. There was a quick puff of smoke, and another Hisame was standing there in front of him. "I did it!" Hisame walked up to his "clone" and waved a hand in it's face. "Why isn't it moving?" His sensei laughed and responded "I guess you'll have to work on it a little more. But for now, let's go to a barbeque restaurant."

[4/4]"Thanks sensei!" Hisame laid five pieces of beef down on the grill. "Someday, I'll beat you in a card game!" "Yeah right, Hisame." Hisame stared at his sensei. "What's that supposed to mean?" "You're no good at cards, and I'm the master!" Hisame pulled his deck from a pocket, and slammed it down on the table. "Wanna play again? Winner gets all the meat, AND takes the check!" After about fifteen minutes, Hisame sat; distressed. He lost again. "Man!" his sensei said with a full mouth. "This is some good beef! Are you gonna pay for it now?" Hisame thought about it and said "I doubt it." There was a quick puff of smoke, and a log was sitting there in place of Hisame.

Sojiro cursed, then looked at Iroh.

"Hey, try to help me out here! I'm doin' my best! Alright. Lets try this again."

Sojiro dug his feet in the ground, and put his fingers in front of him as he haunched over. Like an athlete getting ready to do a 300 meter dash.

And...
GO!

He jolted off, faster than before. His sword jingled crazily at his side, and he planted both feet on the tree. The momentum continued, and he carried himself up the tree. Soon, he felt himself running through branches, and leaves slapping his face. HA! He had made it this high, why not continue?

The chakra around his feet began to dissapate. s**t! Did he work too hard? He couldn't of run out of chakra already. NO! he was almost at the top. Then he felt it. His momentum had run out, and he was about to descend back to the earth. With a final move of desperation, Sojiro thrusted off and away from the top of the tree. Before he was too far away, he drew his sword, cleanly cutting the top of the tree off.

Freefall is one of the worst feelings in the world. Especially when you have nothing to keep you from feeling pain or death afterward.

Sojiro sheathed his sword, flying back towards the earth. This is something he wasn't prepared for. Landing. He formed hand signs, and a bamboo pole shot out of the ground, next to Iroh.

It rose towards Sojiro's flailing body, and Sojiro snatched at it, trying to use it like a vine or some sort of support. His hands burned the whole way down, and at the last second, he let go. his back hit the ground with a thud, and all the breath was knocked out of him.

Iroh leaned over Sojiro, a smile on his face.

"Well, you got the chakra control part. But the landing. Not so much."

Sojiro gasped in air, then held his head.

"ow.... Well, hey. At least I got the tree walking done, right? Thats gotta be a pass!"

Iroh shrugged.

"Yeah yeah yeah. Itsa pass."

Tin walked into the classroom and was greeted by his teacher upon seeing him. "Hello Sensei." Tin said as he began to put aside his bag tha the carried around on his back that contained what thought would be essential. "Good morning Tin. Today we will be learning the Henge no Jutsu. This justsu will help you in transforming into a look a like of others, but will only go so far. Remember to keep in mind that these are slightly difficult for academy students to learn because you all still need to learn mastery over your chakra reserves."

Tin nodded as his sensei continued to tell him the basics of the jutsu and what handseals were associated with it. Once he was sure that he had followed his sensei's instructions correctly he began to practice the hand seals over and over without actually using chakra to use the jutsu. After a few tries he was sure that he could do it now using his chakra. Tin then focused his chakra towards his hands and then formed the correct hand seal and said, "Henge no Jutsu!" There was a small explosion as cloud of smoke appeared where Tin was. Tin coughed as he cleared away the smoke around him away from his face and opened his eyes. He looked up at this sensei and heard, "It's not perfect, but it's closer than what some of your other classmates had."

Tin smiled as he then let go of his concentration of the jutsu and another cloud of smoke appeared as he reverted back to his old self. Tin then began to practice the jutsu over and over until he was sure that he had done it correctly that it was almost next to flawless. Within half an hour his sensei said that he had progressed greatly and had a much higher mastery of the jutsu than when he had started. "Are you ready to learn the next jutsu, Tin?" His sensei asked him as he was finished with his last attempt at the jutsu. "Yes. Sensei. I am ready." Tin said as he looked up at his sensei determined to learn as much as he could before the class was let out. It was only himself that was in the class because he had been held back, not because he was stupid, but because he had started late. His parents had refused for him to go to the academy, but he never gave up until his parents finally gave in and decided that it was futile to stop him.

Raigeki sat in class completely bored the way the teacher was explaining the proper way to throw shuriken when the teacher said something that caught his attention something about a jutsu that was going to be taught to the class today.

"Okay class."said Iruka sensei"We are going to learn a new jutsu today the bushin no jutsu, ao I will pick one person from the class."

"The chances of the his mind laying upon me to do this is almost garunteed with my bad luck"The boy thought in his seat.

"Okay I will choose... you Marahaka Raigeki, well get down here and your face will freeze like that if you keep it like that any longer."

Raigeki couldn't believe it."How could I have been picked out of so many students and to make it worse I have absolutely no chakra control so that means I'm gonna fail this jutsu badly"Raigeki slowely approached the front of the class very relunctant to do this jutsu.

"Ok Raigeki lets begin by showing you the jutsu, here are the hand sealsIruka sensei began making hand signs that were pretty hard to memorize but he probably thought Raigeki could handle them."Okay Raigeki thats it now lets see you try.

Raigeki approached where Iruka was and did the seals perfectly, but then he remembered that he had forgotten to focus his chakra. A cloud of smoke appeared beside him there was nothing beside him.
"Darnit why did this happen to me."everyone began laughing at him, saying he couldn't do anything right.

Raigeki grabbed his head."Why couldn't I do it why does everything bad always happen to me, why does everyone laugh at me, why can't anyone be nice to me, nothing I do ever seems right even Iruka-sensei is laughing at me and he is supposed to be teaching me how to do this."Raigeki's sorrow drove him into doing the handsigns again whle focusing his chakra but it became worse when what he made was horrible looking and they kept laughing at him."Stop laughing at me." He screamed as he ran out the door and to the training grounds.

"Wait class isn't over yet." Iruka screamed to Raigeki, but Raigeki was far gone so he asked one of the teachers to teach their class and his while he tried to find Raigeki.

Raigeki was at the grounds throwng kunai at a tree that had Iruka's face on it. When he was done he began to wonder if anyone even cared that he had fled the classroom then wondered if anyone even cared about him.

Iruka slowely aproached the training grounds the only place he had not looked yet for Raigeki. When he came upon the grounds he saw the tree with his face on it and was relunctant to approach considering there were ten kunai in his head."Raigeki what are you doing out here."Iruka saw that he had been practicing that jutsu because how tired Raigeki was. When Raigeki did not proceed to speek Iruka did."You did very well for your first try and the only reason I was laughing was because you were acting just like I did when I was young, you were acting goofy and messed up right worried that you were gonna fail the jutsu."

Raigeki stood up."Watch what I can do." Raigeki stood there with a grin then began to perform the hand seals required."Bushin no jutsu."The words rang as four perfect clones surrounded Raigeki."So did I pass or not Iruka-sensei."

Iruka chuckled."You pass ONLY IF YOU GET BACK TO CLASS!!!!!"Iruka looked pretty made and his screaming hurt his own ears then he saw something Raigeki was doing.

"Here Iruka-sensei."Raigeki handed Iruka a tea shop coupon that he had dug up from his pocket.Raigeki saw Iruka smile as they walked back to class ready for any names they called Raigeki so he could perform the Bushin no jutsu again.

As soon as his sensei was sure that he was ready he turned to Tin and said, "The next jutsu that you will learn is Bushin no Jutsu. It is a jutsu that will allow you to make clones of yourself. This will be a little more difficult of a jutsu to learn since you will be attempting to disperse your chakra reserves into separate bodies." Then his sensei performed the jutsu for him to see. A cloud of smoke appeared and cleared away to reveal three separate duplicates of his sensei. "Now you try."

Tin nodded and began to practice the hand seals of Bushin no Jutsu until he was sure that he had the jist of it before going up to his sensei and said, "Sensei, I believe that I am ready to try it now." His sensei only nodded and watched as Tin made the handseal and said, Bushin no Jutsu!" As the chakra flowed throughout his body the jutsu worked and there were three loud bursts followed by clouds of smoke. Once the smoke cleared away there stood a total of four duplicates of Tin. "Very good. Now onto the next jutsu."

"RGHAHAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAA!!"

Sojiro came barreling out of the foliage, in his swimming trunks, his eyes peeled back in excitement. The water was less than 40 feet now, and his feet were a blur.

Iroh was standing next to the lake, shaking his head. He knew how this would turn out.

Bam.

Sojiro's feet hit the water, and as the same as last time, he channeled the chakra to his feet. Well... To be said, he channeled the chakra after three steps. By that time he was already 1/3 across the lake. He was doing good, and going fast. Too fast. He couldn't stabalize his chakra. Splash. No... Bigass splash.

Iroh shrugged, and tapped his foot impatiently.

"Do it again. water walking isn't about speed."

"Yah, I know. But check it ogee-chan! I can totally scare the hell out of the lake next time."

"Scare the hell out of the lake? Are you on opium?!"

"Uh... No." ninja

Afer repeating that action for a few more minutes, Aramaki had had his fill of the water. He stretched up to his full height once again and took a step back from the pool before turning around and walked away from the garden. All in all, it was a nice place to be. None the less, Valkiron needed to get down to business. Valkiron walked away from the garden just as a large group of kunoichi were walking towards it. He moved back towards the front of the school. When he got to the doors, he took one last deep breath before walking in.

The halls were quiet. That was not unexpected for Aramaki. He had came to the academy at least two hours early. THis was due to his boredom and excitement. Besides, he liked it like that. No people gave him time to think. THat was the main reason he avoided the kunoichi. Suddenly Aramaki heard swishing noise and looked towards it. Apparently he was not the only one there after all. When he look over he saw a janitor sweeping up the wood floors. Aramaki had been really hoping to have some time to himself to think. He dipped into an empty class room and closed the door.

At least he thought it was empty. "Your early, by hours, infact." Valkiron wheeled around and saw that the room did infact have one other occupant. This second person seemed to be a instructor since he was sitting at the desk in the front of the class doing what looked like grading papers. When Aramaki saw his face he saw that he had a smile and a distinct scar on the bridge of his nosw Suddenly Aramaki felt very sheepish about disturbing this man. He was about to leave when he heard the guy taking again.

"You know, now that your here you might as well stay, there is nothing else to do and I'm about done with these papers. I'm Iruka by the way, you are?" "Gekkou Aramaki." "Well that is understandable looking at the swords." Iruka stood up, closing his book and walked up the stairs towards Aramaki. "Now I figure I can teach you a thing or two before the others get here. Why dont we go outside?" Iruka made it to Aramaki and put an arm on his shoulder as they made there way out the door of the classroom.

Now what a Aramaki thought was outside was in the courtyard or something. It was soon clear to him that Iruka sensei had other plans. They walked out of the courtyard and into the woods. Now Aramakir was a little confused at while this went on. Then, within a few minutes, Iruka stopped. Aramaki was surprised by the sudden stop. He looked around the forest he was standing in. Not much, just a lot of trees. He looked in front of him, about five feet in front of him and saw a huge tree in front of him. The tree must have been hundreds of years old, and it showed in its age.

Iruka smiled at the young ninja's amazement. Honestly he did not expect Aramaki to be such a nature gazer. The truth was that this was one of the oldest trees in Konoha. Though the truth was that it was nowhere near as old as one would believe. None the less it provided a site for the technique, a favorite choice for Iruka. Now it was time to get to work. Iruka turned to his student. "Now this is a useful technique for climbing. It is called the Tree Climbing technique. This technique needs a decent amount of chakra control to do it."
