Napalm watched closely as Nitro disappeared in the plume of smoke, leaning over the edge on Portabello's lap. He watched in awe at how gracefully the Charizard moved, his motions rhythmic like some sort of dance. He tilted closer and closer. The little guy began to falter and flail, losing his balance on the edge of the second floor balcony. Napalm suddenly lost his footing and teetered over the edge.
Reacting quickly, the Breloom shot out his extending arm and snagged the Magby by the tail, hoisting him up to his eye level. You're quite a handful. He thought spoke to the upside down Magby, who wriggled in excitement of his little 'trip'. Swinging in Portabello's grip, Napalm planted a little peck on the grass Pokemon's cheek.
The Breloom found it cute, ignoring the pain that accompanied a magma dribbled kiss from a super heated fire Pokemon. He sighed, setting Napalm down. Just keep out of trouble you scamp. He said, hiding a warm smile with his other hand.

Elekid punched its fists together, allowing the energy from one fist to transfer into the other. "Ele..." he pulled his fist back again and thrust it forward into Marill's stomach. The ball seemed to be prepared this time, since it only slid back an inch or so. Marill smirked and pulled harshly on Elekid's arm. The plug stumbled forward only to have a vicious Tackle unleashed on him.
A foot or so was covered in the air as Elekid was sent flying. He fell with a thump. "Ele..." it grumbled, standing up and clenching its small fists. Static once again began to course through them. Marill went to make a move and suddenly stopped. No matter how hard it tried, the Pokemon couldn't move. Elekid smirked. The Marill had become paralyzed! Not wanting to miss his moment to shine, Elekid broke into a Quick Attack.
Marill's eyes widened as the Pokemon sped passed him. This tactic would have seemed odd if it wasn't for the sudden force that went into his stomach. Elekid smirked. As it was running, it landed a solid Thunderpunch into Marill's chest. The plug was never aiming to hit with Quick Attack in the first place!

Listening to Crenu, Ky knew he was hearing the words of a well-seasoned and incredibly insightful trainer. To hear him say that he had a similar experience with the same outcome was the best thing he could have ever hoped of hearing, being in the mood he was now. Not only that, but Ky noticed that he didn't even come to heal his Pokemon first, just to talk to him. Crenu's words found a place in Ky's heart that he knew he couldn't and shouldn't forget. Ky looked up at Crenu, eyes dry once again, this time with a smile. "Thanks, Crenu... I really, really needed that," Ky said, breathing out a sigh of relief.
Just as he said that, the 'ER' sign's light turned off, giving off a soothing 'bing' sound. Ky's smile grew even more as he saw Little Guy staring at him from across the room on a stretcher, two small bandages on his chest and one on his wing. "Li'l Guy, I'm so sor..." Ky started to say as he got up from his seat. Before he could get all the way up though, Little Guy sprang out of the stretcher. Catching him, Ky fell back into the seat, laughing as Little Guy nudged his beak affectionately up and down Ky's ticklish neck. "Little Guy, stop!" Ky laughed playfully, glad that everything came out all right.

M.A. hardly reacted for the first little while, only watching amusedly as Kasiya ducked for some reason, then watching with some astonishment and confusion when she was tackled over by her own Pokemon just a moment later. "Ouch!" Mary-Anne had cringed involuntarily, finally moving to her new acquaintance's side. "Woah, are you alright there?" she asked, once by the latter's side, offering a hand; she grinned worriedly (for M.A. was a terrible worry-wart, though she couldn't help but smile for that former scene wasn't something she'd ever seen before). It might've been fun for the Crobat, but that fall didn't seem like a feather to a cushion; that small glance Kasiya had cast upon her side gave M.A. a cause for concern, too. She hadn't seen what she was looking at, but still, whatever it was, it wasn't something good -- maybe not direly bad, either, but she didn't know.
She's getting tossed around quite a bit in the time I've known her, the brunette thought, blinking. First the bike incident, then this. . . But she looks okay.
They had gotten pretty close to the other trainer now, the trainer Kasiya must've known. "Uh, hi!" Mary-Anne waved awkwardly, glancing from the other girl to Kasiya then back. She didn't really know what else to say, though; again, a wave of not wanting to get in the two's way flooded through her, so she pleasantly kept mum and waited for them.

Crenu placed his pokeball a tray and Chansey carried it through the doors alking right past Nurse oy. She looked at him and smiled, nodding as if in approval of his actions or something. He nodded back, then looked back at Ky. "Told you, Natu probably loved that battle as much as you love him."

"Yeah, don't worry about me, M.A., I'm fine," Kasiya laughed, shrugging it off like it was nothing. "It was no big deal when he was a little Zubat, he'd always try to cling to my head. I guess he didn't realize that after he evolved into a Golbat, he got a lot bigger. And since evolving a second time, he's even bigger (and stronger) than that." She grinned sheepishly, before adding an afterthought. "I'm not always this accident prone. I'm just having an off day..." She trailed off, silently counting the injuries she'd suffered since leaving on her journey. Absently, she touched the three, very faintly visible scars across her face, the mark Seto had left the day she met him. There was also that time she tried to answer her phone while riding a Mach Bike, the crash resulting in a sprained wrist. Then, there were also her latest two injuries, her sprained ankle, from her last visit to Viridian Gym, and the wound Casimir had inflicted. She shook her head, wondering what would happen next.
As she made sure her shirt was tucked in, she heard a familiar voice. Kasiya looked up, surprised. "Kilik?" she asked, recognizing the dark-haired boy. "It's you! And Mitsu!" she turned to look at her long-time friend. "Are you alright? You don't look so good..." she trailed off, noting that her good friend looked rather pale. "What happened?"
While waiting for Mitsu to respond, Kasiya's attention drifted over to the baby Elekid's battle, and she giggled. "Oh wow, Kilik! You have an Elekid! He's so adorable!" she cooed, giggling like a schoolgirl. It seemed that she had indeed inherited her father's love for electric Pokemon. Shocker looked on at the baby using its speed to deliver electric attacks, and nodded in approval. She'd done the same thing, many times before. It was a good tactic to learn, and the Raichu couldn't help but be drawn to the Elekid.

This is a situation where EQ should hit you no matter what your type/ability. whee xd )) Although it could have worked in theory, both Magu and Flannery looked right at Nitro, an easy task since he’d pinpointing his own location by shooting flames into the ceiling. In the next instant, he vanished from sight, and the sound of tunneling could be heard throughout the gym, and Flannery smiled slyly at Mike's tactic. "Magu, he's using Dig!" she called firmly. "You know what to do!" Magu pulled himself into his shell again, rolling backwards a few feet. He waited a few seconds, knowing Nitro would strike at any moment, and the Magcargo became encased in a shimmering, impenetrable green sphere.

"Hi Jae." Ryka said, relieved to hear an answer. "I'm somewhere in downtown Celadon.. I guess I kinda got lost." She gave a small laugh. "Uhm, well.. I have a small problem.." She twitched uncomfortably on the bench. "See, I accidentally ran into a tree, and Vixen just disappeared. I don't know what happened, but I'm really worried.." Ryka stood up and held the bike by the handle, guiding it as she walked in a random direction. "I know you're really busy, I just wanted to make sure you got by alright."

((Agreed, but I still exploit that little loophole in the games whenever possible. x3 ))
A loud thump was heard underneath the Magcargo, followed by some audible curses, recognizable even with the language gap. Bits of gravel stirred underneath and the tremors became louder as Nitro tunneled back to the original hole he dug. The now shaking trainer dashed over to the opening, leaning over as his Charizard's head poked out.
"Stay under Nitro. Keep her guessing when you'll pop up!" The Pokemon craned his neck, glancing over at the dopey looking Magcargo, giving a disrespectful snort. "Don't underestimate Magu, he's alot tougher than he looks." The boy batted Nitro on the head. While it was far from painful, the Charizard still felt the sting of being disciplined. "Don't ever let your guard down because you're bigger than your opponent, you should know better." Mike looked almost silly talking down to a 6 foot tall fire breathing lizard, but Nitro understood the meaning of his words.
"When I give you the signal, strike." Nitro nodded and disappeared under the Gym, the sound of claws busy at work vanished as he delved deeper and deeper. Mike let out a sigh, he knew first hand protection moves only worked when spread out. This tactic would have her needing to Protect constantly, and when the defenses were lowered, he prayed to land a crippling blow.
He just hoped it worked.

"Really busy? Hardly," Jaeshan said, shaking his head. "But that's more than a small problem. If Vixen is missing...hmm. Well, I'm at the Pokemon Center, so at least we know where we are proximity wise. I'm going to finish up here, and then I'll go downtown and meet you. I'll see if my friends Keegan and Diana want to lend a hand in finding her." He stopped for a moment, making sure she was still there. "Wait a second...you ran into a tree?" he blinked, only just realizing what she'd just said. "Are you alright? Are you hurt?"

Unfortunatly for Dante Meowth didn't really take well to that last comment. Jumping up to Dante's bag Meowth quicly riffled through his things grabbed his pokenavi and jumped back. Flicking it open he grinned slightly as he pointed it at Dante. "Smile for the camera!" Dante only had time to blink in confusion, the tiny Levi made a traditional Mudkip smile, and Violet managed to poke her head out of the Caffiteria to see what all the fuss was about when Meowth snapped the picture. Quickly typing a quick text he hit 'send to friend list' and the picture was off. It read;
'Dante or should I say Diana.
Here is revenge for you Mitsu.

After realizing what the cat pokemon had done Dante sighted. "I guess I deserved that huh? Just glad my phone list isn't to long. Now come on we dont have all day." That being said he scooped Meowth up and pocketed the pokenavi in one swift move.

"Yeah, I don't know what he's so excited about though," Ky said, his laughter dying down. 'What a relief,' Ky thought, now scratching Little Guy's back underneath the feathers. 'I guess I did overreact there; kind of embarassing now that I think about it.' Enjoying the attention Ky was giving him, Little Guy found his shoulder very comfortable and soon fell asleep, his head resting on Ky's neck. Ky smiled. Then, a thought occured to him. "Oh yeah, Crenu. I still owe you money for the match," he reminded himself out loud. He reached into his shorts' pocket, pulled out his wallet, and grabbed $350, waiting for Crenu to finish healing his Spinirak.

After Edge had finished his Swords Dance he dropped down in front of Toph looking ready to spring at a moments notice. Jake who had been all over Kanto and most of Johto figured the white pokemon had to have come from the Hoenn region. He also thought that it was probably a normal type meaning it could know all most any move. Deciding to play it safe Jake decided to do something Toph had done earlier, albeit unintentionally. "Bellsprout use Poison Powder!" The wiggling plan moved its odd shaped head towards the Zangoose and taking a deep breath it fired a purple powder into the air.
"Poison Powder huh? That's not going to work here. Edge jump through it and use Fury Cutter." Toph commanded with a confident toothy smirk on her face. Edge smirked as well and crouching down he tampered his feet into the ground before springing through the poison powder, his inborn immunity not allowing the poison to take effect. Before Edge could even land he made a swipe at the Bellsprouts head, the Bellsprout though proved to be just as agile as Edge and bending backwards it managed to easily dodge the blow. Toph and Edge were a bit taken aback by the wimpy looking pokemon actually dodging the attack.
"Bellsprout use Wrap." Vines shot from the Bellsprout and wrapped around one of Edge's legs while other's tried to come closer.
"Edge hack it off!" Toph commanded. The Zangoose nodded and lifting his claws and began to hack away at the vines. Soon it turned into a battle of endurance. Both pokemon were running out of health, Bellsprout from being hacked away at and trying to hold Edge still, and Edge from being squeezed and the effort it took to keep hacking at the smaller pokemon. Luck though was on Edge's side, or rather the fact that he had more health to begin with was on Edges side. With one last hack the vines fell free from him and he was able to escape limping slightly back to his trainer.
For once Toph had a somewhat concerned expression on her face as she bent down and carefully pet Edge as Jake put his Bellsprout away.

"Ok." Ryka replied, smiling a bit. "Thanks a lot Jae. I could really use the help." She was about to hang up when Jaeshan asked something else. "Oh, yeah, I'm fine.." She looked down at her arm. A scratch was visable, and a bit of red blood dripped out. She covered it up with her hand and continued. "Only a little scratch. Ok.. thanks a lot." She hung up the reciver and sighed. What could have happened to her..? Ryka thought, sitting back down on the bench.
"Hey Twilight.. are you alright? You seem kinda out of it today.." Ryka asked the Umbreon, patting his head.

The wind from Marill's body was knocked clear out. The Pokemon took a deep breath as it turned to face Elekid. The plug blinked, groaning slightly. Then the Electric-type noticed a waver in Marill's stance. In a fell swoop, Marill backed away slightly and hopped into the water. Did this mean that Elekid had won? A bit worn from its battle, the Pokemon dashed over to its owner and scrambled onto its owner, finding its comfortable position back on top of his head.
Kilik looked up as he saw the plug settle down. "Yep. A friend of mine sent me the Egg to hatch him from," he explained to her. The boy stared over at Mitsu. "You don't look quite like yourself," he crossed his arms over his chest. When he opened his mouth to speak, he heard the girl with the Houndour speak. Kilik tilted in Kasiya's direction, whispering into her ear: "Who's the new cutie?" he asked her, raising an eyebrow.
