"The pleasure's all mine," Ame said with a grin. "And I'd love to!" She chuckled. "As long as we don't get too hopelessly lost but I suppose that isn't entirely a bad thing."

"Getting lost can be fun in the right circumstances," he nodded, grinning as he led her through the garden to the maze.

Ame nodded as well. "Too true! Of course it wouldn't be fun to get lose if it's late, or too dark to see, or your getting hungry or thirsty." She chuckled.

Reaching the maze entrance, he led her inside, pausing at the first fork. "Left or right?" he questioned, inviting her to take the lead.

"Hmmmmmmm." Ame tapped her chin, looking both ways. "Left!" She grinned. "If there's no objections."

"Left it is," Kayne grinned, turning to follow in that direction. His ears twitched as they turned a corner to find the path ahead forking again. "Shall we stick with left, or try a right this time?"

"I think too many lefts and we'll just be going around in circles." Ame said with a grin. "So maybe right this time? Should I be writing this all down?"

"Right sounds good, " he nodded, his head tilting as he paused at the corner to listen. "That isnt neccessary," he grinned. "I have a good memory for directions usually, and for sounds." Motioning her to lead the way down the path, his ears alert as he waited.

"Amazing!" Ame giggled, beginning to skip down the path, twirling and walking backwards to look at him. "Were ears and tail normal where you're from, or odd?" She grinned and ducked. "I'm sorry. I'm a curious person."

Kayne laughed as he sauntered along behind her, tail swaying slightly. "No need to apologize. I am quite normal where I come from."

"Interesting! At least, to me." She chuckled. "Is it intersting to you that we are lacking in the ears and tail department?" She pulled on her own ears, grinning. "I'm sorry, just tell me to stop asking questions if you want. I'm a very curious person. I love to learn about other places and cultures. I swear, my parents probably have a running bet on how long I'll stick around this place before I move or something." She laughed, walking into the side of the maze and jumping slightly, laughing at herself then.

"I find your lack of tail odd," he grinned. "And how do you hear with ears so small? Those ears cant possibly hear the garden snake in the shrub behind you, or the family of mice in the hedge ahead." He laughed as she walked into the hedge, reaching a hand out to steady her.

"S-Snake!?" Ame jumped again and ducked. "I don't like snakes...Unless they've been properly fed before coming near me, so I can have the comfort that I won't be their next meal!"

Kayne laughed harder at her reaction. "Forgive me," he chuckled, bending down the reach into the hedge. Straightening, he held a small green snake about a foot long. It curled around his wrist as he held it out, stroking the small head. "I am fairly certain he wont eat you."

"But it's still scary...." Ame said, then slowly reached out and pet it's head, and was instantly amazed by it's scales. The way they felt, and looked pulled her in as she stroked it, all fear gone. "Hey! It's kinda cute, when it's not trying to eat you!"
