As Tegral had no living souls within his army, the bulk of his forces - a boon and bane - consisted of cyborgs or AI piloted war machines, Kaiori would only be able to hear a single, steady, beating heart. It's powerful thrum would obviously give clues as to it's owner, though since she'd likely never heard this particular rhythm she'd not likely distinguish the identity unless she gained a lucky guess or additional insight. The person approaching was a large man, completely at calm if his heart rate was any indication, with a pattern of beats that seemed almost perfectly in tune - no ventricular abnormalities there - and he was strong.

A few minutes would pass before Tegral would proceed forward, the dissipation of the barrier lagging his progression, but it would be a straight line towards Kaiori. At the base of her skull, just beside the nerve stem that would make surgical removal impossible, lay a device so small it would not register on any 'modern' bug scans. The device served a similar purpose as a tracking device with the exception that it only gave a direction. No distance, elevation, or even whether or not she still lived, only a direction her body was in...and Tegral headed straight for it.

Whether or not there were any obstacles were yet to be seen, and if there were he'd deal with them when they arrived. If there were not, if his progress was not stalled by any of Kaiori's defensive measures, he would simply traverse the Silent Forest, Rookin tailing him with a pair of chests under one arm, and arrive at the 'secret' home of one Kaiori Night. Queen of the royal corporation the Twice Royal.

*Kaiori stumbles around her house after sensing a heartbeat. She looks for something more presentable to wear in her large closet. Keeping the large button up shirt she slides on some shorts and slips on some flip flops. She wasn’t sure how formal of an affair this would be but it was her forest so she wouldn’t be dressing up anyways. She almost heads straight to the door, before stopping and taking a single slim dagger in a belt strap and slipping it up her thigh, high enough to be covered. She stands then on her doorstep in the shade of the trees. The light didn’t really hurt her but she did tend to feel a little uncomfortable in it.*

It wouldn't take long for Kairoi to see the source of the turbulence in the area...who else would it be except the gun happy Admiral? But he looked different some how. Maybe it was the blue jeans and black t-shirt he wore, the snug fabric taught against his broad chest, instead of the overly formal black silk suit he wore even in combat, maybe it was the way his lips curled upwards in what could have been mistaken for a smile were it on anyone else, or maybe it was the fact he approached with only Rookin - who'd left his mace at his waist instead of wielding it in his fist - and not an army on his tail.

"Kaiori!" Tegral called as he stepped out from behind a tree, brown work boots stomping down in the moist ground of the forest floor, "Sorry about the rude greetings, but I needed your attention."

Rookin paused several steps back, his left arm warped around the two large chest while his right hand easily slid to the haft of his mace, to give the Admiral the space he'd been ordered to have. Kairoi was royalty, and not only that a target of Tegral's motives, peace was required.

"Would you have a couple of minutes to talk?"

*For a moment Kaiori would simply stand there, a little dumbfounded. Her hair, which was pinned up without much care, would slip back down loosely around her shoulders in the light breeze of the forest. She must be some sort of crazy but it didn’t seem that large of an inconvenience. Her hips tilt as her stance relaxes and she nods slowly.* Sure, I have time. Would you rather we talk here or inside?

"Inside would be best, I think. That way you can put your barrier up, feel a bit more at ease." Raising his hand Tegral motioned with his index and middle finger for Rookin to follow in tow, which the Second in Command did so without hesitation.

"Unfortunately this isn't a pleasure visit, as my gloomy companion may have led you to believe." Approaching Kaiori, the sweet, clean, smell of the forest filling his nostrils, Tegral couldn't help but grin to himself. She was lovely, unfortunately married but still lovely, it was a real shame KB had her entangled in his little plots. He felt a sigh of exasperation with that twisted monster rise in his throat, with what might have been bile at the thought of fiendish things might take place if he got ahold of her, but he would not let such thoughts spoil his good mood.

Run! Hurry! Head for the hills and hide the children! Surely the Apocalypse must be upon the Black Company! Hear now the hooves of the pale white steed, Pestilence, while it's rider, Death himself, wrought the land with to silence of death. That must be the only explanation, what with Tegral being in a good mood!

Approaching the door step Tegral would pause and allow Kaiori to invite him in, which he and Rookin would accept without pause.

Like anyone visits just for pleasure. *Kaiori rolls her eyes and turns on her heels into her little abode. Now clean the living room was rather pretty in a very different sort of way. The room smelled heavenly with cinnamon, rosemary and apples drying in the kitchen just a room away. All the doors besides the front door were replaced with silk hangings that moved lightly in the breeze. All the furniture was red oak with heavy velvet covers in dark colors. Candles dotted the room varying from small flowers to large pillars of wax. The ground was a plush carpet scattered with expensive pillows and random jewelry. There were wooden chests scattered around, a couple of them lying open causing the magical gems inside to reflect sparkles of color on the roof. Kaiori takes a seat on a cushion and begins to braid small sections of her long hair, she motions the others to sit since there is a large selection of couches, chairs, lounges and cushions.*

Tegral smiled at Kaiori's quick wit, "True, but were I not on a mission I'd be more than happy to visit you as often as possible." A deep chuckle, a laughter that could only be found in the broad chest of a jolly chuckle, escaped the Admiral's lips as he folded onto one of the plush cushions. Rookin, in his battle worn armor, opted to stand for two reasons; first of which was he was paranoid that Kaiori had the means to have the Admiral assassinated, the second was that sitting on the floor in armor was just a huge pain in his cybernetic a**.

"To get straight to the point, Kai, I need your Silent Forest. Or, more accurately I need the ground beneath the Silent Forest for a construction project your son is under taking for me." Leaning his elbows on his knees, hands draped lazily down between his legs, he looked almost like a normal guy for a minute. He didn't expect Kai to relent the safety of her Silent Forest without a fight, though the fight he expected to give her was far from the typical style of warfare he'd usually wage, but - and he hoped - once he explained the situation more thoroughly she'd agree to help stop KB.

*Kaiori raises an eyebrow although her eyes never leave her busy fingers. She lets out a burst of air something between a moan and sigh before letting the small complete braid drop. Her blue eyes seem to visibly darken with her thoughts. She liked Teg, but there was always that constant maleness she had to fear. Mas, Than and even KB all held a certain amount of femininity that made her feel slightly safe, that made them predictable or only a slight amount less cruel than they could be. Teg on the other hand, held this ability to obliterate things of beauty without thought or care; yes a man without a love of beauty was definitely untrustworthy. Her eyes kept down she speaks softly but not without strength.* I’m not sure what you mean. I’m sure you realize I will not allow this forest to be trampled beneath your feet. Up rooting this land would surely cause me distress. *She yawns casually and stretches out on the cushion, she eyes Rookin and gives the paranoid fool a wink.*

"Young Griffin is, at this moment, receiving plans to construct a Type IV Fusion Generator. For all intensive purposes let's just call it a power plant, because it's primary function is exactly that." eying Kaiori as she winked, then glancing over at Rookin, who's eyes seemed to be locked dead ahead while his combat scanners ripped every nook and cranny of the house to shreds and rebuilding it with gravimetric pulses. "As you already know KB has betrayed my loyalty for a single reason: My forces and I have effectively subdued this whole region. There's not a single power in existence that my army has even remote reasons to consider a threat. Because of this he turned inward, his insane drive to destroy actually rending the most powerful alliance this land had ever seen in twain."

As dark as Kai's eyes had become Tegral's looked darker still. Rage sweltered behind his sapphire blue eyes, a feat all the more challenging since he was suppose to be a machine and thus void of all uncontrollable emotions. Fear was a correct emotion to feel when one confronted Tegral, more so when he was 'angry'. Large and powerful, a ruthless monster who sooner take his head off than second guess an order, and to tie it all up in a bow the ability to call an army to bare. "Kaiori, listen to me." Leaning forward he opened his mouth to speak before he recalled something. Clamping his mouth shut he turned back to Rookin, "Return to the ship, Rookin, leave the chests and go make sure Kah is in position."

"Aye, sir..." Rookin said stiffly, an order as an order regardless of how dumb it was. And as any good soldier should Rookin obeyed, setting the chests down and departing with a solemn grace only a gruffed soldier could obtain.

A minute passed before Tegral began speaking again, his voice low and urgent. "Kaiori, KB is a monster. You think I'm a harsh, vicious, beast who kills at the drop of the pin? I'm a soldier, I obey my orders. Whether or not I think they're wrong I obey...but not anymore. I'm sick and tired of always fighting, Kaiori, I'm exhausted! All I've done for the past two years, two long and grueling years, is build weapons, fight, build bigger weapons, fight more, and kill. I've killed and destroyed so much in the past two years I'd make an under taker vomit."

A long breath exhaled, heart racing in his chest, and Tegral closed his eyes. He needed Kaiori's support in this endeavor! KB was too powerful of a foe, the one edge Tegral had against his opponents were his complete mastery of technology and their total ignorance, but said advantage was lost on KB. Of all the members of this land only the Twice Royal stood, Twice Royal and the Citadel, but only one would be worth gaining even if Mastema was willing to lend aid.

*Kaiori sighs and shifts uncomfortably. KB was a touchy area with her, considering the man had never done anything but protect her, even from Teg when the time came. She chews on her lower lip in silent aggravation.* Still I fail to see why this should make me feel better about you destroying everything I made. This place is sanctuary, is part of me. You’re asking for a sacrifice. Actually, you’re asking for a sacrifice to be made for you. Can you not think of these woods as my body? Yet I fear to ask your answer since I believe you would defile them anyways. *She speaks in a relaxed but low tone, one of despair since she was sure what the out come of this conversation would be.* I do not wish to cause you problems...

"The forest," Tegral stated, "Is in no danger of destruction by my hands. I only ask for the electrical defenses beneath your forest removed for the duration of construction so your son can build the means to end that atrocious monster."

Kaiori's perception of what had happened that day were warped, in all fact it was the complete opposite, but because the Admiral did not know how she felt on the matter he could not explain to her the truth. KB was a monster, plain and simple, who sought only to use the Twice Royal as an asset and, later, have Griffin killed and Bell imprisoned aboard the Cradle. Tegral knew all about his plans, since the Z-24 units were designed specifically to accomplish the mission. Tegral, that day, was actually going to warn the woman and her family to flee KB's grasp, sever ties, or something. Tegral would not attack the Night family, not anymore.

Sighing he stood, rubbing the bridge of his nose. "I can't convince you to help me, can I?" He knew she would never relent on her stance. Tegral was the villain, not KB. Well played you vicious b*****d, make the soldier do all the dirty work and look like the fiend no one can trust, while he dabbles his hands here and there - forcing a tight rein in key places to make him look like a saint or a savior and the Admiral a monster.

*Kaiori sighs bending backwards on her cushion looking awfully relaxed for a woman in her position. Her hair tumbles down her back and her shirt slides off one shoulder as she slowly coils back into a normal seated position.* Fine, just the shock roots, nothing more. If anything disturbs this land more than I deem necessary…well let’s just say I’ll let you know. *She pouts her pretty lips and flutters her eyelashes innocently and yet a wicked fanged grin spreads on her face shortly after. In the dim lighting of the room she looks rather angelic with this sick dangerous twist that was surely the reason her husband didn’t visit anymore.*

"You'll have to speak to your son in regards to the damage potential, he's building the thing." Turning to the twin crates laying on the floor Tegral took his idle time approaching them. Kaiori was a fearsome woman to be sure, but something told him that despite her brave facade she would not turn aggressive, after all he was likely in more danger entering and exiting his cybernetic form than he was in the royal queen's presence.

"Now that business is concluded, I have a present for you, my dear." Kneeling down Tegral pressed a series of keys on top the secured casings of the chests and up popped the chest's lid. What was inside was something of likes Kaiori would never have seen before, since as far as her or even the rest of the BC was concerned was an impossible feat to accomplish. "Star gems." He said very simply as he withdrew a choker of unspeakable beauty. As if the entire universe had been snagged from existence, compacted into the form of a jewel, then strung with every color imaginable. Hues of green, red, blue, white, silver, and even black sparkled in ripples of purple, pink, and gold. The whole thing seemed to radiate in even the faint light of the room. The reason for the strange, almost unearthly, coloration was simple: When a star becomes too large the hydrogen fuel source would become depleted and, in all likely hood, the star would begin to collapse. When two stars, in a binary star system, implode within a thousand years of one another - the explosion of the first infusing the other's core with the strange mineral that comprised the star gem's structure - the core of the collapsed second star can be harvested for these rare gems. Obviously the gems are very rare, and thus only masters of solar systems can afford even a single gem. This particular necklace had at the least five gems the size of a human eye ball.

"I thought a beautiful woman, even if she does want me dead, deserves something beautiful to wear, even if she wants to wear nothing." A grin worked it's way onto Tegral's lips, a strange light entering his eyes.

*Kaiori takes a moment to stare, before regaining her composure.* Ah, well. *She coughs into her hand and flushes.* Giving gifts to a married woman? Isn’t that I little bold of you? *She runs her fingers through her hair, trying to calm her nerves. It wasn’t that she wasn’t used to men, but she wasn’t used to this. She was usually the one calling the shots, well, with the exception of Xol and her husband. Overall this situation wasn’t normal for her in the least, not that she feared the wrath of her husband or anything.*

"Is it so wrong to give a gift to a beautiful woman? After all it's not as though I'm enticing you to sleep with me or anything." He said, holding the gemmed necklace dangling from his finger tips, as he approached her yet again. From his vantage point, several feet above the sitting Kaiori, Tegral definitely looked as powerful and strong as he was, but it was his smile that would ultimately defuse him. For you see Kaiori was in the presence of none other than the original, honest to God, born from semen and egg, Tegral Kartos. True he still had the cybernetic modifications that allowed him to remotely link with his armored shells, the ones who still called themselves cyborgs despite being completely artificial, improved strength, stamina, and a few other key aspects that even Kaiori might appreciate given some time. With a beating heart that shot real blood, albeit artificially enhanced with nano-bots, through his body to fuel him with the oxygen all humans required. Though she'd likely never figure it out, unless he spelled it out for her, Kaiori, with her vampiric strength, held the advantage here...not Tegral's cybernetic.

"Here," He offered the necklace to the seated Kaiori, "Touch them."

The gems, being borne from the core of a star, still retained trace amounts of radiation - too minute to harm even an adolescent human being - along with strange energy waves that, for what ever reason, seemed only to target the human nervous system. A key reason why these gems were valuable, even in the smallest of quantities, was of their abnormal effect on the human body - a feat most rich women were certain to not over look. Pleasure seemed magnified by it's contact with the skin, pleasure and happiness receptors in the body seemed to become more sensitive to the sudden rush of chemically induced joy that a mere touch of these gems would produce. Some of the richest, and often times the most 'extreme', of the wealthy class would have star gems cut into piercings for their genital region - women with their clitoral and men with their 'Prince Albert's' - and would use these piercings to magnify their sexual experience ten fold.

A simple touch of the necklace would cause Kaiori, even in her state of wary, to experience something akin to blissful pleasure.

And that was only what was in the first chest, imagine what was in the second.
