Can we have non-battle pets? Like...say....a cute little blue cat who follows you around..but can't be used for anything...for RP's sake really?

Me and panthers keep pet snakes, other people have dogs and bugs........ehh, why not. But it canNOT be used for battle or anything otherwise, like warning of the presence of an enemy.

Just checking this: Because of the Chuunin Exams being over, and Teaching Master profession coming about, does that mean Genin can no longer learn from scrolls on their own for +1 post to learning? I'm just unclear on this, since it was never stated as far as I'm concerned.

@Kaze: that is correct, unless you are a teaching master, and have the appropriate rank benefit

can a jounin learn from a scroll? like, lets say someone in particular *cough*me*cough* asked a teaching master who shall not be named *cough*lament*cough* to write down a couple of jutsus on a scroll so said person can learn them. is this possible? or does it, like, have to be an actual training session?

i have another question......when creating a taijutsu style, if it gets approved, is it auto learned up to your rank? or do we learn it ourselves?

I dunno about the scroll, but you have to learn the taijutsu yourself, starting from square one.

Pretty sure anyone Chuunin and up can learn from a scroll, but with a +1 post penalty. A bit weak really, maybe we should change that.

IRL i find learning from reading easier than learning from watching someone do things more often than not. I never understood why learning from a scroll was a negative here...

Because reading about how to shoot fire from your mouth is quite difficult to grasp if you've never seen it done.

Because if we just handed you a scroll and said have fun we'd have everyone spam learning all the techs with no way to control it and no reason to have teachers, despite teachers being a MASSIVE part of this RP.
