Raquel just nodded, hoping he was right as she took a few more bites, trying to fill the hole in her stomach.
After another moment or so, she looked up at him. "Do you think there are karaoke bars on Druis?" She asked with a mischievous sparkle in her eye, seriously wanting to uplift the mood. That was a personal goal she had put in herself. Dont let sad or just negative subjects settle in for too long. It was helping not only her Amaranthine problems within herself, but it seemed as well in her and Damian's relationship.

"Darling, we could make our own kareoke bar." Damian returned her playful eyes and thought of that night. He had yet to replace that potted plant.
"Or we could sing whenever we please without an occasion. We don't seem to do that enough."
Spontaneous things were what he needed more of. Less structure like he was used to, more... adventure, that didn't require tropical planets and talking people off of cliffs.

Raquel tapped her spoon to her lips, thinking about it. "You know you're right... we dont... Hm...We are rather boring aren't we?" She looked to him, that gleam still in her eye.
"I mean, Just look at us! We spend all our time in the house... ok well more specifically, in the bedroom... from an outside perspective it seems rather boring no?" She winked, a devilish smile playing on her lips as she fought with a little grape in her bowl.

"Boring? I am the envy of every man and possibly woman in Veratia! How is that boring? This house," he said, jabbing his fork at her in the air. "Is a haven."
Damian had an idea, though. "Name a letter, and I'll sing part of a song that starts with that letter to you. Only i you'll do the same, though. With or without accompanying music."

"X." She shut one eye tightly, making a goofy face at him. She laughed but got serious. "Ok, ok...um...'B'?..." She settled on, sitting back to see what he'd come up with.

Damian thought for a moment... and soon enough, his good leg was gently bouncing to the rhythm of the song in his head. The instruments were all there, and how he wished Raquel could hear them, too. But he started singing just a part of the song, as was the game they were playing over food.

Raquel smiled, listening intently, a bright rosy blush playing on her features as she just looked at him, trying not to act like a foolish schoolgirl, like she always diddler he sag. His voice just sent shivers down her spine.
When he had finished his little serenade, her smile grew wider, thought she tried to hide it by wiping her mouth with her napkin. "That was....lovely..." She beamed into her napkin, eyes shyly diverted. "Just lovely..." She looked up at him finally, just smiling and giggly. "Now...My turn?" She asked, wondering what he would request, though had no clue how to top that in the 'sweet factor'.

Damian loved how he could make her blush and look away like he did. No matter how many times he tried to catch her eyes, she'd look away into her napkin. How beautiful she was when she did that.
"Well, you've got me shaking from stage fright now," he said. The hand upon his coffee was shaking, making the little liquid left inside dance.
"To you, I give T."

THat made Raquel stand. SHe grabbed her dishes, and came up to him, kissing him softly. "You dont have to be nervouse... It's just me..." She was clsoe to his face, looking him in the eye for a good long hwile before finally pulling away, touching his cheek breifly before turning to go place ehr dishes in the sink.
"Hm...T....
Ah-, I've got one..." She seemed to think a moment, even humming ot herself to get to the right part of her song.
"Like sisters and brothers we lean on each other~

She leaned against the counter, eyes closed as she swayed back and forth to the little tune in her head, getting very into it until she finished. Thats when she opened her eyes, then blushed, turning away to rinse her bowl, suddenly very embarrassed herself.

Damian stood then. Without his cane, he made his way over to Raquel. With his arms about her waist, he could sit his chin upon her shoulder and whisper, "That was beautiful, in every way. As for it just being you and not to be nervous... that's why I am nervous at all. Because it is you."

Raquel's whole neck turned red, her skin crawling as he whispered near her ear. "D-damian, I want you to know you make me nervous too...no one has been able to make me feel that way ever..." her voice was shaky as she concentrated on washing her dishes, though a small smile crept onto her lips. "And apparently... you drive me utterly crazy at the same time..." Her blush grew as she risked a glance to him, just melting into his hold.

He let his face rest in the curve of her neck. If this was impeding her dish washing process, he would leave. But then, he was content and thought the dishes could bugger off.
"I'm not always trying to make you nervous," he said softly. "Though I admit, I love making you blush and look away at anything you can get your eyes on."

"I do not!" She cried awkwardly turning away, finding herself staring at the spice rack on the opposite wall, immediately laughing. "Ok, ok...maybe I do..." She smiled, turning her head towards his again, kind of giving him a strange backwards hug with her neck and head. "I must say though... I kind of love it myself..." She found herself feeling like a teen again; butterflies in her stomach, her skin tingling wherever he touched, a, what felt like permanent, blush on her cheeks. It was wonderful.
"I also find it terribly cute how you tremble when you're insecure or nervous..." She added,nuzzling him a bit.

"It's a nervous reaction. I cannot help it." He remembered how in Altru, when he cradled Raquel that night, he had shook for hours after she'd gone to sleep. It was one reason why he had looked so haggard when she woke up to see him crying softly.

Raquel turned the water off, setting her plate and bowl down into the sink,just letting the silence take over for a moment. "...Damian?" Sheturned herself around so she could face him, but he was still leaning on her. "...I'm sorry... I'm sorry I almost left you that night..." Her eyes watered slightly. "When the Amaranthine's came here...I-" She let her eyes drop. A silence set in a moment.
"...Damian...I'm never leaving ok?" She looked back up at him, directly into his adoring silver eyes. "And-... And I'm so so happy Damian... You really dont know..." a small tear wanted to form in the brim of her eye, but she fought it. "I'm so happy...with you. Just you. Only you...."
