She called herself a million times a coward. She had lied. She loved to dance. But it was too dangerous to get too near him. And so it seemed that everything was going the way she hoped. She walked away, and so did he. But she was walking deeper into the ruins whereas he was walking back towards the village.
"Demoness! Begone creature from hell!!" The chants began anew as she ran into exactly what she knew she would. The villagers. The ones who were certain she was a demoness sent to plague them. Oh interesting, this time they actually brought weapons. Well, they were farmers. So it was hoes, and rakes and the like. But they were still farmers. Hence the Bokken. So she wouldn't harm them too badly.
She threw down a smoke bomb from her hand, the gathering coils of smoke obfuscating most of her figure until she stepped through into the moonlight, her bokken pointed at the head figure, the village chieftian's son and she amplified her voice to carry throughout the ruins. "Begone thiefs. I but protect the treasure from those who would dare disturb them." God, she really should have paid more attention in Drama class. This all sounded so hokey to her. But it had it's effect. The villagers began screaming and running back off, it wouldn't take no time before they'd catch up with Reinhart and surpass him on their way home.
"DEMONS!!!"

Hands stuffed in his pockets, he walked slwoly looking up at the night sky, it shone brightly out here in the country. Unlike the bigger cities where the industrial areas produced enough polution to cover it up quite nicely. Small stones and twigs cracked under his boots as he walked then he heard the woman's voice. As he turned to see what exactly she was speaking of he saw a stampede of villagers running from where he'd just came.
"What the ******** confusion gripped him as villagers began running by him yelling...
"DEMONS DEMONS!"
Oh how funny this was he though walking back against the fleeing villagers ignoring their warnings about savign his life. Slowly he came back up to stand a couple of feet behind her, well out of her striking range, he spoke as he smiled.
"I thought you were leaving."

The smoke was just now dissapaiting as she turned, her eyes lighting up in a fashion that made one wonder if she could be a demoness. But just as quickly it was gone.
"No. You were leaving. I was merely returning to my vigil" She pointed with the bokken towards her original pillar, though she didn't take her eyes off him. She didn't even seem surprised he had come back. Which if you thought out it, it was obvious. It was the highest point and gave the best view to see if anything was coming.

"Your vigil? And what exactly is it you're looking out for? Farmers?"
He almost laughed again remembering the fleeing, scared villagers, but held his composure. Alright he wasn't that good, he burst out laughing, putting a hand over his face.
"I'm sorry..."
His voice trailed off as he laughed between words.
"...I'm sorry, the villagers they..."
More laughter.
"..they made me laugh as they flailed past me screaming 'DEMONS!'"
It was total laughter now, it was gut wrenching, Reinhart wasn't stuck really but they so reminded him of country bumpkins.

He was only a few feet away, and her bokken was three feet long. And while a bokken doesn't have a sharp point, it can still pack a whallop behind it.Laughter His voice trailed off as he laughed between words. "...I'm sorry, the villagers they..." Before he could even attempt to stop his laughter long enough to finish his sentence, Silk's bokken pulled back and then thrust forward, the tip of the 'blade' aiming true for his solar plexus with enough force to wipe the wind from him for several seconds if not minutes.
"Those villagers have been stealing from this ancient burial site and selling off artifacts after signing a contract for an enormous amount of money to allow it to be excavated. You are just another hunter in a long line of people they hire in order to get rid of me when I was hired to protect the site until the archelogist can excavate the site."

Sure he stopped laughing but he didn't let her hit him again, not so easily at least, he'd deflected her Bokken with his forearm to his right. A loud noise came from the quick strike that didn't sound anything like flesh. He only looked on her as she talked and waited to give his response.
"You're here to protect it then?"
A chance for a little more fun arose and he was going to take it, no playing this time, not much at least.
"Let's see if you truly can."
Reinhart brought his hands up taking a classic boxing stance looking at Silk who stood past his fists.

She laughed, not in rage or mocking humor but in enjoyment. Everything that seemed like it should be one way with her ended up another. "As you wish, sirrah." She held the 'hilt' of the bokken to her forehead, and gave him a mocking bow.
"Do I gain anything once I win?" The sword swung out to her side, and she held it open, to where no matter what he did, she could move easily to defend or attack, upon her choice. She merely waited him. She was after all the one who was 'protecting'.

"Of course, you'll wait till you win however."
With that said Reinhart rushed in closing the space between them quickly zig zagging from right to left ending up more on her left side. With his right hand shooting out to jab he quickly shot an underarm shot to her abdomen, then would follow up with a right cross. This is of course the plan, he knew too wel she may, block, counter, or dodge one if not all three attacks.

As he swung out with his right fist, her own right came up, with the hilt of her bokken and her hand moving to push his fist away from her and back across his own body, which forced her to give her side to Cris in perfect time for the uppercut, which instead of slicing into her ribs, would instead collide with the underside of her breasts and ribs and elictated a smothered curse from her lips.
She then let the force of the blow push her back from him, a grim smile on her face as her left foot which had been behind her moved forward and rocked her knee into his abdomen as she pushed back, her right hand still pushing against his hand to keep him from pushing her.

To his surprise she stood with him exchanging blows no less, she'd taken a good punch to her midsection and pummeled him with one of her own. Luckily for him he was wells easoned for fighting, she'd find his abdomen was pretty hard as it was covered with muscles. This however only aided him in not having the wind force from his body, lucky him. It still hurt however, the little lady had a mean knee.
Her blow wouldn't stop his attack however, he'd pushed through the rush of pain and continue striking her. Using his left hand he pushed hard against the leg that struck him forcing her to either twist to her right or spin all the way around. With her motion he'd have his right arm free again and has her left side exposed this time. In his lowered position, lowered because he'd bent slightly from her hit to his abdomen he sent his elbow out horizontally to slam into the back of her leg.
Hamstrings to be precise, it would probably cause her to lose a bit of balance and he'd follow up rising throwing up a left hook. A left hook.....

Well, the first part worked anyways....
She spun, making only a slight stop to add more oomph as she swung completely around. But the move she was making was extremly odd. It was almost as if she was going to throw her leg over his head, as he was haunching down to slam his elbow into her hamstring, her right leg stopped and she slammed the heel of her foot into his spine, and the hilt of her bokken slammed into the back of his head, then using the motion as a springboard to flip over behind him.
What it would seem like though is that just the force of his uppercut which had never actually connected had somehow lifted her and thrown her behind his head. Was he too strong for him to realize? As he was realizing what was happening, she was tumbling to the ground, and quickly spinning back around to face him, in a crouched position on the ground.

An awkward movement on the woman's part and his landed him in a dangerous situation, none the less he'd catch her jump. Her kick would land on it's mark but Reinhart didn't worry too much about it, he wore a plate on both his chest and back. It covered his back down to the middle part of it so her kick wouldn't doo an insane amount of damage. However he did have defend himself from her Bokken, a blow to the back of the head was never a good thing.
His head swayed to one side moving it out the way the and putting his shoulder infront of the blow, he was still low so she got to step off his back. Once she was off he turned to face her in her crouched position, and smiled rolling his shoulder setting his hand on it. After a quick moment he'd rush her again moving rather fast as she may've noticed by now.

Don't get me wrong, she's strong for a woman, but the thing a woman usually has going for her in a fight is her speed , her use of weight and her dexterity. Something her mentor made her use every day of her life. Even funnier to her however was the fact of while this man's moves might be different, there was something about the way he moved that reminded her of her mentor. Which made him and his speed easier to deal with in her mind.
"Mindless as a bull in heat..." merely repeating the words of her mentor whenever the other apprentice had tried a similiar tactic. She still missed the man who'd lived far too short a time. And had died protecting the things he loved and believed in.
As Cris rushed in, she pushed off on one foot, timing it perfectly with his moves, so her hand slid across the bokken as if she was going to attack and was 'unsheathing' the weapon from her other hand, but instead she braced it, effectively holding the bokken like a bar between her outshoved hands and rammed it out and up, as she pushed so he would go flying behind her. He was built, but sheer momentum and planning would win the day.

Sure he'd rushed in, but it was only to close the gap between them, Reinhart wasn't a stupid fighter that depended on brute force. He used all his strengths, speed, agility, power, and a good defense against such tactics that would try to turn his momentum against him. The motion she used wasn't alien to him, he'd slide to a stop bringing both hands to catch her weapon from either side. Much like he'd clapped putting the weapon between his hands catching it an instant before it struck him.
Twisting the thing was an easier task that it looked and psuhing it aside wasn't hard either, he knew how to use momentum as well. As he did this his right leg came up with a blur to strike the woman's left side. If connected it would send her in the direction he kicked, she'd take her Bokken with her. A powerful kick with follow through would usually have this effect on most fighters, he'd then stand at th ready waiting for her to advance or get up.

Problem: Tabi Kat ...timing it perfectly with his moves, so her hand slid across the bokken as if she was going to attack and was 'unsheathing' the weapon from her other hand, but instead she braced it, effectively holding the bokken like a bar between her outshoved hands... So when Cris clapped the weapon between his hands, Silk merely improvised, kicking out one foot beneath her and up to his chest, not to push him away, but to merely do what she'd originally planned, a different way. She'd use the pressure he was holding the bokken with, as his narrator had stated was strong enough so he could twist it, which meant a firm grip. And used her foot to flip him over her head instead. One way or another, this bull was going down.
"Alley Ooop."
