Aw, I'm sorry that you're in such a pain, Steffyss. ;( Usually I take some medical 'candies' for sore throat. Not those which can be found in stores such as Halls, but those from pharmacy. I don't know about the other countries, but those in Poland are really good... They help me instantly. Anyway, if you feel it is something bigger than only sore throat I suppose you should consult a physician if you still didn't do so. I hope you'll feel better soon!

Oh yeah, you should suck on cough drops (or vitamin C drops)! It doesn't really help, but it's a mental thing. XD Actually, if you eat tons and tons of VC (you can have up to 6000 mg, I believe) your throat will feel better faster, and so will you. ^ ^ Plus, vitamin C drops taste good. =P

Drakes dad just bought me VapoRub, Halls sore throat drops, Sucrets sore throat drops, and ginger ale. I am hoping something works. Thanks for all the advice guys.

Your errant and slightly guilty Head of House: Sorry I haven't been posting much--I'm multi-tasking in the other world, filled with Muggles, clients and an uncle in the hospital, having heart surgery at 94 (Uncle Gene, a psychologist is doing well, and has the nurses taking dictation as the insights he had inspired him to write a book. We're a long lived and feisty family, natural Ravenclaws, and the ladies lively and having their families and babies way late in life as well, in their late 40s, and even one in her 50s! Sheesh! That was another reason for posting late. Mum just had her birthday two days ago. She's the baby girl of her family and it's her very eldest bro in the hospital, so its been busy!).
I was also needed to help set up, then to re-set up the Dueling Guild as we had to trace down why and then invent a workaround a Gaia-glitch that kept removing our carefully set up stickies and transfiguring them back to threads.
Well. First off, a major

turayza, great question! Can we duel within our houses? I don't know - how bout posting that in the (Bertie) Bott's Peanut Bean Gallery in the Dueling subforum?
My throat drops of choice are Rikola, from Switzerland the original square, and/or honey-herb flavor. And I swear by this brew, it's as wonderful as a Cheering charm, and along with vitamin C as effective as a Pepper-Up potion; we've been using it since we were toddlers. Our family is all healers; psychologists on dad's side, nurses and herbalists on mum's.
Anyway, simple to make and delicious:
Fresh lemon (we're lucky that way in Southern California, they grow everywhere here) squeezed into hot water, or hot apple cider. Or hot apple cider plain. Add honey to both, and mint if you like. When we were really little, there would be a cherry at the bottom.

Yay, Thanks guys. I am now taking antibotics because it got to the point nothing else was working so I went to a doctor today. Haven't said more than ten words. It stinks but at least I am getting better. Thank you to Luna for sending me the get well gift. smile

Congatulatoins, Steffyss! Hope you get better... STAR testing on Tuesday... >.< I've been studying my head off.
I can't believe gas prices have gotten to four dollars... Hey, did you know that when you press the nozzle before pumping gas into your car, about six cents are added? Outrageous.

I am so sorry that I have been MIA for a while but school and then two almost three birthday parties this weekend put my whole schedule out of whack. On Friday my best friend turned 19 so I went to visit her at her high school and brought her some delicious brownies too! Then after that I went to hang out at the beach with my other bestie and her boyfriend and my other good friend, it was fun! I got dark, it wasn't too hot but the water was cold. On Saturday it was my best friends birthday party/sleepover thing so yeah, I didn't get any sleep. Today was my little cousin's birthday party shes 11! OMG! I feel so old just thinking how old shes become and that means I'm only getting older! Anywho, this weekend was hot! It went up to the 100's here and right now its like a warm 75-80. I hope you feel better! 7th year? Wow.
