I'm actually curious as to how you can phase through earth and not metal...it's interesting because I'm starting to work my way up from earth to stone and now I'm starting to deal with metal, incorporerating it into my attacks...and it's funny because I thought you would be able to phase through it like earth. You don't have to tell me at all. But I figured you'd be able to since you can already do the earth meld and metal is a part of the earth.

No, it's not a major secret. It involves how my character's use earth magic, it's part of thier aura. When stone, dirt, or a plant is nearby or needs to be phased through, they use thier aura to shift it around them at a molecular level. Therefore it appears to go through them but really is going around them on an invisible scale. Also, my shape shifting is tied with the earth magic because to gain or lose mass, they convert their cells into basically dirt or plants and shed it. So they can also become earth in some spots and merge with stone or plant. Metal however is denser so while it is possible for them to phase to a degree with it, it's only very briefly and extremely difficult. If they are in a shape shifted form they can dodge metal by making a hole that size in themselves but if not.... well Wolf had his side ripped open by a sword once already after phasing it through vital organs.

I'm not going to lie, I don't...I could, if I really felt like takeing the time to design abilities with logical bases, but people tend to shrug off basic logic in favor for the phrase, "I know how to do magic!" And frankly...why should I put forth the effort of designing abilities with logical bases, as well as perfectly logical side effects if they had any, when all they'll do is summon up a hundred fireballs at the flick of their wrists because they're some sort of fire god or something like that?!
*slamming her book shut she turns rather angry eyes towards Wolf.*
And when I have developed an attack that has exceptional advantages against a certain individual they scoff it off as if it was a gnat attacking a steel hull, saying that it's god modeing despite the fact I give reasons for knowing the abilities, logical bases, and the history of the technique! Then I explain the pros and cons of the ability, yet they still scoff it off, and when I next use the ability they suddenly, by magic, know the cons. Pin pointing the weaknesses and using them to their advantage!!

...Someone is angry, perhaps you should sit and calm yourself. It would be far better, least you insult someone and they decide to start an argument, which may lead to the angerment of the Warrior Spirit, or other mods of the Black Company.

A fairly decent RP'er can easily combat an uber nub... and a excellent RP'er can easily find ways to merge uncompatible races. By all accounts Lucifer is a Fallan Angel/Demon...

Yes, people rarely like losing. They do many things to avoid it. Personally, I've had this character for a while and the first thing I did was figure out how to protect myself against my weaknesses, and how to deal with each element. I have one technique that let me survive the fight with Dirk in the forest but that's one that I'm trying not to explain until someone asks me during a fight.

I think Im one of those rare people who actually likes to lose xp

Lucifer is not a fallen Angel/Demon...he's just a fallen angel. I know of plenty of ways to merge different kinds of races, but opposite races, such as a fire golam and a water sprite, or something else so blantly obvious, shouldn't even go near each other! Angel/Demons are easy to merge, but creating an effective story line to back it up is a b***h...that's why I never roleplay those. An angel would never submit to mateing with a demon, because an angel is a protector of the innocent and pure. A demon would never mate with an angel, unless it was raping it, and even still the angel would probably kill the creature inside of itself before it had a chance to spawn. Demons, such as the hell spawn kind, arn't lovey dovey, they seek power and they enjoy the pain of others! Demons, such as Inuyasha, or other such, can't really be considered demons. They'd be more like abnormal creatures...atleast in my view.

If you consider Demons like Inuyasha you should be reminded that in many eastern cultures, demons and gods are the same and are named such based on alignment. So they are the same creatures but if good they are a god, if bad they are a demon.

I dislike considering demons like Inuyasha actual demons...like I said, in my oppinion, they are just abnormal creatures. Now a demon, in my opinoin, is a hellish spawn that normally wants to kill everyone/thing in it's path. There's no way a demon would fall in love, if there was someone to kill they'd kill it. Which is why I stay the hell out of Barton...so many people go in there acting all demonic and tough during fights, but then turn around and act all lovey dovey to people out of fights...it's just not right!

I've never played a demon but I tend to be straight forward with my darker characters. They don't love, they manipulate, hurt, and try to kill or disable.
PostPosted: Tue Feb 22, 2005 8:27 pm

If we all went by the book then I'd be a better place, but sadly that's not the case.

And yes, Lucifer is a Fallen Angel/Demon... stare

And yes, I am a Fallen Seraphim/Demon and no it wasn't difficult to merge the two because my storyline is easy to comprehend. I was merged with a demon when I was sentenced to hell. Ta-da... that simple.
