"Maybe. but it'll still be enjoyable none the less. And don't say you wouldn't enjoy it either. But that'll just have to wait until we get there. and since it will be spring, we'll need to pack appropriately. anything particular going on that you remember that we might be invited to?"

"I wouldn't enjoy it as much as you would. That's for sure." One hand messing with the tip of one of his ears just because she could and her mood was proving playful today. "Well, wood elves always have things going on in the summer. You know how they are. Personally I think it's the pollen going to their heads at that time of year." Giving a little laugh to that one. "Seeing as it's the start of that new 'year' cycle, Carris will probably be doing something...arch elves love to give a big bang at the beginning of such things. They're definitely going to be formal. You'd love to make them squirm wouldn't you?"
She tugged the little elf away from the door that he was practically plastered to, watching his parents and waiting to see if things were going to go bad. "Come on, now you can't stand there all day. You've seen things are fine and now you need to get dressed. Can't have you running around in your pajamas all day." Thusly picking him up with a little protest and carting him upstairs, besides she wanted to send a message home. Needed papers for Malik and to check on Kieran as well.

He turned back and looked at his father for a moment then frowned. "Go pick dishes for Mommy. Get sparklies. Nym help. Get sparklies too." It made sense to him. Of course he didn't realize that chores had to be done everyday. "Sissy give magic sparklies too?"
Of course Malikhai didn't realize that Kaelin had been around other horses before. If Kerick liked her, he'd be the only one. Even Destyny had snapped at her when she'd come close. She reached out and lightly rested a finger on the horse's nose, just waiting. When he didn't instantly get upset, she breathed out a sigh of relief and nodded. "Okay. As long as you promise. But I...don't know how to get up there."
"I guess you're one of the lucky ones then. My parents both say that they have hard times with it. Real hard times." Shaking her head and glancing down at her boots for a moment before her head popped back up and she actually seemed somewhat excited, grinning and batting her eyes at him. "I'd like that. A lot."

He gave a soft chuckle to that, shaking his head. "Come back here now. You haven't made a mess and neither has mommy. You have to wait till there is something to help with." Leaning back on his hands on the bed rather casually, watching his son. "But look at you...you're getting a hang of that walking aren't you? Though Nym's feet are dangling." Pointing to said ferret feet.
Score, she was past the horse fear bump. And Kerick only made things better by bumping his nose against her fingers, looking for more petting and what not as well as giving those soft comforting horse noises. "I'll show you how." Taking her hand and leading her to the horse's side, and positioning her hands for her. "You put one on the pommel there, adn the other on the back ridge of hte saddle. Raise a foot and stick it in the stirrup there," pausing and as innocently and non-threateningly as possible he places his hands around her waist, "And I'll give you a boost up. Just turn your hips then and plop down."
He blinked and grinned before a light blush at her batting eyes. What was it about when girls did that that made you uncomfortable? "I don't see why we couldn't do it. And hey if you like it here, then maybe you'd like that other place too. We just gotta find time to go is all."

A little bit of a lowering of eyelids when she started playing with his ear, and tugging her from around behind him and putting her in his lap, playing with her fingers and her ear as well.
"Of course. formal where I can wear slightly offending things that are still formal and not so offensive as to get me in trouble, and be able to show up certain other elves and be a little blue devil. Not to mention Koada'dal are always amusing to get under the skin of because they have to be so proper."
Giving her another kiss, and bouncing her in his lap a bit.
"So have any plans forming on what to do today?"

A little noise of surprise from her as he pulled her around to plop in his lap,though that noise turned into a giggle and then one of those soft pleasureable noises as she settled comfortably as ever and he was giving back what she had been delivering just moments before. "You do know just every avenue to play with them don't you? You're a like a cat who has to torture the mice before he eats them just to get his laughs because he quickly tires of chasing them." Giving another melodic laugh, "Little blue devil indeed. Next thing I know, you'll be teaching your sons such things." Reaching up to give a tug on his ear again in that playful manner. "I told you, I'm being lazy today."

"Well of course. Somethings just beg to be passed on. and I'm not quite as bad as the cat. I at least don't eat the things I play with."
tugging on his ear got a little grin.
"keep it up with the lazy thing and I may think your just indulging and wanting to enjoy other activities without leaving the kitchen. we'd just have to hope that your mother doesn't decide to get a snack."

"That's debatable if you do." Shrugging lightly and stil letting her fingers play just becasue she could. Heck, such activities as he was implying may even make him feel better what with all the worry he was trying to carry but conceal at the same time. She could only hope that he really was worried about Dhairiss...she still wasn't completely steadfast in father to son opinions there. "I'm sure she has runes around to prevent such run ins...but personally I'm waiting for you to go 'trip mode' on me like you always do. You know, the packing of everything you coul ever possibly need and driving me crazy and forcing me to poke fun at you then make you take a time out?"

"Hey now, that's the point of having tinker bags. they can hold a ton of things, thus you can pack excessively. and my over-packing has proved useful once or twice. Even you have to admit that."
A small smile at her playing and holding her in his lap, tracing his fingers over her thigh and up along her cheek.
"I still think it'd be funny just to see the look on her face. though I'm sure your right, she probably has alarms to let her know when not to bother us."

"I never said it wasn't useful just that it was excessively annoying and often I have to put you in time out. Seems even you know how to pack a tinkerbag full and I'm sure that boggles quite a few minds." Giving a little chuckle and reclining slightly in his lap, leaning back with an elbow braced on the arm of the chair they were in for support while doing so. "And she's caught up before. You got to see the look then. I remember being quite horrified as well."

"Funny to you maybe. Wasn't funny to me or her." Shaking her head lightly and giving a giggle that was silenced into more enticing noises as he idly messed with her just enough to make her cheeks flush but not in the embarassed way. Surface elf perk, weren't they fun. "If I let you pack like I wanted to, you'd disassemble the bed and take it with us." Nuzzling lightly at him as he rested his head on her shoulder. "You know, you really need to get a better question to ask if I'm in the mood or not. Or I may take that as an invitation to make you move heavy furniture and what not with your own hands and no one else's." Tapping him on the nose in playful fashion then. "We still have our son to worry about. Seems we've a lot to do between children and vacation plans. And with you being the one who tries to play leader to it all, shouldn't I be asking you if I can do anythign for you?"

"and I'd do heavy lifting if it made you happy, you know that. I hope that this vacation helps with Dhairiss as well. give him more examples to counter what they did to him."

Giving a soft little squeal of sorts at his nibbling, oh it was always the ears. Overly sensitive elven things, even if she only had one and a half to work with. "But there's always just something so fun about conquering a new bed and making it suitable for our own uses." Another giggle from her, how many times was that now? "Aw, you'd get dirty for me? How sweet, seeing as I know you hate getting dirty." Grinning at him with that particular little wicked grin she had probably picked up from him. "You let me get away doing a lot to you. All areas and aspects included when it comes to that. I'm sure Dhairiss will be fine after he gets acclimated. Did you know you're more cuddle when we're topside? I think I'll just be happy to be in the sun. Honestly, I've been missing it lately."

hmm..she was giggly, wasn't she. but she wasn't flushed all the time either. he might have to ask fianna about that.
"well then how about we go upstairs, and have a little alone time while Malikhai's in school and your mother has Dhairiss."
Picking her up bridal style when he stood up, and giving her a grin.
"Or are you being too lazy for something like that?"
