Well due to the welcome (or lack of it)..I have come to the conclusion that I'm simply not welcome...
I wish you all luck on your endeavours...
Take care you all.

And leave her be, if one needs a party to feel welcome then they aren't welcome in my books.

Hrm...perhaps she didn't like our weird air of interestingly crass sarcasm? Or...something? It was a rather quick visit.
I still haven't gotten my f-ing party...dunno what she's whining about...hehe

I believe it would be wisest to hold off on the sarcasm and rude comments until newer members are more used to it. To someone who is brand new here, it can be seen as pretty offensive. She wasn't asking to be thrown a 'welcome party', nor was she asking to be treated badly. I realize that not everyone here is responsible, so this post is not aimed at you. The ones who are responsible know who they are, and I'd like to thank you for offending my friend and giving such a great impression of the maturity level we have here in TTR. [/sarcasm]
I strongly advise that it doesn't happen again in the future, guys. Our goal here isn't to drive away potential members.

But nothign over the top was said. Melph said she didn't like her but that's it isn't it? After that not two words were said that were offensive. We just continued on out own way talking to each other, and she said that she didn't think she was welcome from lack of welcome, which I take to mean she was expecting every person to go out of their way to say hi, not unreasonable really but yeah. Just saying.

My comment aside no one said anything offensive to her and it was pointed out that people did welcome her. I don't feel bad about what I said. I didn't even mean it in a bad way. If she can't take the heat now then its best she stays out of the fire all together.
You should post and join because you want to, not to get attention from other people.

What an odd situation. While it's true nothing overly offensive was said I can see how it would be perceived as such. Then again, the almost-new member probably could have given us a bit more of a chance, so I in fact see both sides as being slightly in the wrong.

I hope she responds, Suisse. I like seeing new members and what they come up with for their characters. Everyone is always so different.

She did respond, and she said:
Lol only you and Sir uppercrust bothered to welcome me, however I am much older than most of you. I feel that the members were not very welcoming I can recognise sarcasm but one person was blatantly rude.
I really hope you guys will revise your welcoming skills (not you personally mind you) and also bother to reply to their posts. I have a guild of my own and I would never ever allow such seeming intolerance to new memebers as it is indeed off putting.
I replied back to that, so hopefully she'll get the message that we are just different in general.

If that is the reason she left then I am glad she did not join. We get enough people who post once or twice and never post again. If her resolve to join the rp was that low then honestly if she did join it would have been a waste of our time. Those type of people are like a child who wants praise for every little thing they do, last time I checked we don't baby sit here.
Oh someone was rude to me wah wah! Let me just quit right now! Get over it girl, the internet is not a nice place and if your skin is that thin then you shouldn't be on it.
