I've convinced a friend who knows very little about minecraft that a ficticious entity is out to destroy him, and that the only way to survive is to live sealed away in a hell dimension with no active links to the overworld.

ghast would fix that issue with the portal, he could still keep the flint but there wouldnt be no portal, or did they change that in one of the recent updates? havnt played in sooo...long lol

Ghasts can inactivate portals, but they can't destroy the obsidian frame.

Ya, I convinced him to live in the nether, and through skillful manipulation of minecraft, I've made him believe beyond a doubt that the ficticious entity is at work trying to kill him. Blocks disappearing as he was gone, blocks appearing to seal him in, and mysterious sounds occuring at any random time. Its quite nice. And I can't wait till the wool fuse I made lights the interior of his nether house aflame. You know, now that I'm miles from him. Muahahaha!!! And the tnt traps placed when he wasn't looking... oh, the joy.
