Chaoe pouted a bit at the answer but didn't push. She also finished what she was eating and set the plate in the sink, smiling slightly. "I'm sure uncle Jerry won't mind. I heard they were getting more supplies tonight anyway." She grinned.

"Well, that's good. Last thing I need is getting scolded for being hungry," frowned Mizaka. She looked up and noticed a clock at the other side of the wall. "Geez, is it that late already? We'd better get going." Mizaka walked towards the door and looked back at Chaoe. "Want me to escort you to your room?"

((I can't believe I'm going to do this, but here it goes...that awkward moment when you forget your laptop charger and are forced to use someone else's computer for internets.))

(How so? o: )
She nodded, letting out a small laugh. Chaoe blinked up at the older girl, unsure, but she then nodded. "Alright. But you gotta promise not to tell anyone about anything you see, 'kay? Pinky promise." She held out a pinky finger.

Mizaka blinked a bit at Chaoe's extended digit, then smiled warmly.
"You have my word," she said as she extended her own pinky and wrapped it around Chaoe's. "Now, which direction is your room at?"
((The two are very sweet together. They're like, developing a sisterly-type relationship right now~))

( ; u; ~<33)
Chaoe rubbed her neck, "It's upstairs, not too far from Yuu-nii's actually. A few halls away is be exact." She made a thoughtful face, she knew where his room was but she never really bothered to ever visit. Maybe she'd do that next time she knew he was around, then again would he find her a nuisence for doing so? She sighed and started walking, "..maybe i'm trying too hard.."

"Upstairs...right." Mizaka let out a sigh. She didn't recall ever travelling that far up in the Order, so that part of the building was a complete mystery to her. "Lead the way, then." As she walked side by side with Chaoe, she heard the girl mutter something under her breath, but she didn't quite catch it. "Pardon?"

Her head shot up, "Huh? Oh, it's nothing." She smiled. "Just thinking outloud." She continued to lead the way, "Mizaka, I forgot to ask. Are you enjoying your time here?" She looked up from the corner of her eyes.

"Hmm? Oh! Yeah, I am, actually." Mizaka nodded as they continued on walking. "The people here are nice enough, and the Order reminds me of the Soul Officer Headquarters, in a way. Both have interesting, if slightly eccentric, people, both have crazy bosses, both have missions that sometimes require you to travel around the world, and so on and so forth. It's like I didn't leave home at all."

Se smiled, "That's nice." Stopping infront of a door finally, she opened it and walked inside. "I'm sorry about the mess, I never really have company so.." She gave a shy smile.
The room itself the same size as all the other 'bedrooms' in the place. The walls stone, yep, the same. There was a hospital bed in a corner with three stuffed animals on it. Her green kappa, the frowning blackbear and the red wolf, the bear and wolf Sil had given her as presents. There were some boxes under the bed and there was a small desk was against the wall opposite to the bed, it was covered with half-open books and a small box. She frowned when she saw the box but didn't bother to hide it.
The room itself had no colour, besides the stuffed animals. Even the books were grey or black. The place was cold and lonely in a way. Some light from the window caught on a photo on the floor near the table, wind or something must have blown it off the desk. A man with long light blue hair and a women with long black hair wearing a green kimono were smiling, happily in love. When Chaoe saw it she paled and quickly picked it up, throwing it in a drawer in the desk, cheeks flush. It was a personal item. (of her mother and father before she was born)
She sat on her bed, "Well, have a seat."

Mizaka scanned the room for a bit. She was surprised by the lack of color, when most children's rooms she has seen were often brightly painted. She noticed Chaoe pick up and put away what appeared to be a photograph, but decided not ask her about it. Looking at the room once more, Mizaka sat down next to Chaoe on her bed.
"Nice room, I suppose. How long have you been living here at the Order?"

Chaoe kicked her feet back and forth. "Well, i've only been here, in this building, for...I dunno, almost a year? With the order itself well." She stopped kicking, eyes narrowing. "Since they first found me around four to five years ago." She pulled her knees to her chest and stared at a wall. "Like I said, I came here from the North American Branch."

Mizaka nodded as she recalled their earlier conversation.
"I've been to America once. In Chicago, if I remember correctly. Nice place." She looked at the ceiling and was lost in thought for a moment. "Do you like where you are right now? Being an Exorcist, I mean. Like I said before, it must be difficult at times. I've heard that they just pick you up and throw you into battle as soon as they discover you have Innocence." She scowled as she imagined what some Exorcists have to go through. "It doesn't sound fair to me..."

Chaoe sighed and layed back, staring at the cieling. "I..wasn't exacly just thrown in as soon as they found me. I only got my weapon a year or two after they picked me up. But...to be honest I don't think I really wanna talk about that place.." She nodded, "To some people it's unfair, maybe to others it's a free meal. Who knows, it depends on the person perhaps." She rolled onto her side and stared at the older girl.
