((Good night, Michi~))
Mizaka jumped out of her seat when the smoke erupted from the oven.
"Oh s**t!" She ran up to the oven and pulled the fishcakes out, which were now burned to black crisps. "Ah man...look at this mess..." She groaned, then started giggling a bit. "Well now, this is actually amusing."
((I actually forgot all about those fishcakes XD))

(( Goodnight Sil! Goodnight Michiyo! <3 ))
"Ouch, ouch ladies~ Don't all stab me in the heart at once," he said dramatically, putting a hand over his chest and looking at Sil and Star with puppy dog eyes. "If love was mute, would you give me a chance?" He winked at the two with a grin before hopping off the couch, stretching a bit. "I'm sorry to say that I'm leaving for now also... I want to look around the castle more..." When Sil had left claiming that she'd be looking for his stubborn friend, he decided to go looking for her, just in case. He wouldn't put it past her to be lying in the middle of the hallway or something...

Chaoe blinked at the curse, but then made an upset face at the fish cakes. Well...what were fish cakes. "They smell disgusting.." She scowled.

"Yeah, they're not exactly roses..." said Mizaka as she wrinkled her nose. She promptly dumped the fishcakes into the trashcan and began looking around the kitchen. "Guess we'll have to settle for something else, then." She opened the fridge and pulled out a plate of cold beef. "I hope you don't mind leftovers..."

She made a confused face. "beef?" She hadn't eaten actual meat in a while, she had started to miss it. "It sounds good." She smiled.

Mizaka grabbed two plates and cut the meat in slices. She handed one of the plates to Chaoe before picking up her own.
"It's a little cold, but I think it'll be enough to satisfy our appetites." She smiled as she began eating. "So tell me, Chaoe; do you like it here in the Order? I can imagine all of this Akuma hunting can be a little stressful..."

Chaoe took the plate and nodded. She was about to eat a peice when Mizaka asked the question. She looked up in thought, "I like it here, it's a lot better than the branch for sure. Not as many...bad things. Yes, the missions get kinda stressful and everytime there's a chance I may not come back but it's worth it. Every akuma I send to hell and every soul I send to heaven I repent. Maybe one day I will be cleansed enough to make it to heaven, although I doubt it." She started eating.

Mizaka stopped in the middle of putting food in her mouth.
"What do you mean? If you do mostly good in your life, then it's guaranteed that you'll be accepted in Heaven. Taking down Akuma sounds like a one-way ticket to Heaven to me."

"It's...compliacted." She looked down at the meat, bangs covering her eyes which were darkening in deep thought of bad things. "Anyway, sometimes destroying akuma isn't enough." She looked up and smiled, "If I could I would love to see my mother in heaven." She decided to leave her father out, no need to get into such things. "Tell me Mizaka. What do you wish to do after the war?" She leaned on the table, resting her cheek on her hand and watching the other curiously.

That wasn't something she had expected to hear. From the way Chaoe had talked about her parents earlier, Mizaka had assumed that they were still alive somewhere. She wanted to ask about her father, but decided to save that question for another day.
"After the war?" Mizaka pursed her lips in thought. "Ah, see, I'm fighting a completely different battle, one that might end long after your battle. But since the two are connected in a way, I suppose you could say we are currently fighting in the same war." She shook her head as she put aside her plate. "I haven't really given any thought as to what I should do after the war is over, actually. Most likely I'll continue my job as a Soul Officer, but I would like to eventually settle down in a nice quiet area and just relax for the rest of my life."

Her interest was perked when she mentioned settling down, the young girl leaned in closer. "You think you'll get married? It would be nice if you did." She smiled warmly. "Maybe one day i'll settle down with someone too." Her cheeks flushed, the chances of that happening were very slim but the thought itself warmed her heart. Maybe she would find love someday, when she's all grown up and then she would live happily in a small house surrounded by flowers like her old childhood home. Then again, it would probably be best if she killed off all those thoughts. She knew her chances of survival in this war were slim, she was told that from the very begining. She was just another soldier fighting and when her usefulness ran out... She would like to hold onto those warm thoughts for as long as she could. Smiling she started eating again.

"Maybe," said Mizaka with a shrug. "I wouldn't mind finding a nice husband, though it's still too early to think about that. I'm only 14, after all." She stabbed at a piece of meat with her fork and brought it into her mouth. "I'm sure you'll find someone someday." She continued on smiling. "A sweet girl like you will attract a lot of attention once you're older." She let out a laugh before she attacked her food once more.

Mizaka grinned at the younger girl's confusion. Ah, childhood innocence...
"Don't worry about it. You'll understand when you've grown up." After picking at the last pieces of beef, Mizaka took her plate to the sink and cleaned it off. "I hope the cook doesn't mind that we've practically stolen his food..."
