Arlen nodded and lifted Lily into his arms to follow Cerri, beginning to worry about her discomfort.

((Latin isnt a language on the planet he is from, so he wouldnt know that. He just took it as a derivative from Terra because most elemental realms and planes are named for their element in one way or another))
"I see, an elemental race. Not a common thing, but not unheard of. Though why they would call one born of water weak seams preposterous to me." *He says with a bit of a smirk, knowing full well that he was biased on that matter.* "Water is the only true everlasting element. Fire burns out, earth erodes away, and the winds come and go, changing like the faces of the moon in the sky. But water is always there."

Cerri led him to her room once more, indicating that he should lay the teen on her bed. As he did that, she dug around in her boxes, growing pale as she thought on what she was about to do; but she owed the girl, and so, she would do her duty. When all the supplies were gathered, she turned to Arlen, licking her lips nervously. "Alright... what this will do is take a chunk of your life energy and transfer it to her." she murmured, wanting to explain so he would understand. "That will slow the killing power of the spell, but you'll be weak for a few days, and possibly ill, depending on how well you handle it."

Arlen nodded, laying Lily down on the bed. "Are you alright?" he asked, afraid something might interfere with the spell.

Cerri nodded, wiping the sweat from her brow as she approached the pair. "Fine." she told him shortly, then took Lily's hand and made a small cut on the palm. "Now I need your hand." she murmured quietly.

Arlen frowned at the cut in Lily's hand and held his hand out to Lily.

Cerri gave him an understanding look, then made a small incision in his hand as well before placing it palm to palm with Lily's. Setting the knife aside, she bound their hands together with a silk cord, hands shaking now that she didn't need them to be steady to complete the job. "Blood to tie, blood to bind." she whispered, looking both terrified and resolute, green energy gathering around her, flowing into the cord.

((Okay, thank you wink )) Trina thought this over for a bit, pondering. Yes, water was always there, you couldn't really destroy it, only taint it. "I suppose..." She said slowly, though thinking. Water could be erratic. Calm waters rushing into turbulent, the waves carving out into stone... Trina blinked. She had been staring out the window again, losing touch with reality for a moment. She sighed. The sooner she got well, the better. "But everlasting does not mean ever powering..." Trina said, shifting slightly.

"But what is power, Miss Trina?" *He asks as he shifts his gaze from her to out the window where she seemed to lose herself.* "What power do we really need beyond the strength to persevere and protect those around us? Because that, Milady, is the true nature of water and ice."

Arlen winced as the blade cut into his hand, surprised to find that it didn't heal automatically. He waited to feel something happen as he watched the energy flow from Cerri to the cord.

Trina smiled faintly, watching the rain. "Yes...and that is what makes them consider me weak. My race was predominately cruel, Li'ad, and I simply wasn't." She looked back to him after a few more moments. "But...that is past, and I find little reason to use my talents around here anymore. Unless someone is in direct danger, I do not fight at all." Her dark eyes seemed serious, as though there was second meaning to what she said. And there was. Trina reverted to her true form was a disaster, the body taking over the will and mind. That was what Trina feared with her recent weariness, that she would not be able to remain herself.

Abandoning English, Cerri began to mutter in a harsh, guttural language, forcing her energy into the cord. As their blood mingled, a white light sprung up between Arlen and Lily's hands, slowly turning green as Cerri fed it. Finally, with a shouted word, the woman again took up the knife and cut the cord; as she did, a good portion of Arlen's life-force was transferred to Lily, who suddenly woke up and jerked to a sitting position, coughing and sputtering. The man would probably feel weak and dizzy, possibly disoriented, but the wound in his hand would be healed, as would Lily's.
For Cerri, as the spell was completed, she stood there, shaking and sweating, trying to calm the panic that remained. She dropped the knife once more, then grabbed a flask she kept at her hip, deciding that she might need to get drunk.

"Then they were wrong about you." *He respons, still looking out the window at the falling rain.* "Cruelty is a true weakness. It takes a lot more strength to care about those around you and be willing to lay down your life for theirs than it does to put somebody into that kind of possition. That is why my kind stopped concerning themselves with the troubles of men. There is always a select few of them too weak to realize the strength of peace. But then, knowing that they are inherently weak in that manner makes it all the more amazing to find one of them who truely sees the value of life."

Arlen held Lily's hand and reached out to brace himself on the bed with his other, breathing a little heavily.

Lily looked between the two, confused at how much better she felt, then mouthed a thank you to the woman. Concerned for Arlen, she tugged his hand, silently ordering him onto the bed with her to rest.
"Welcome." Cerri grunted, then shook herself. "Send word if you need anything else." she ordered gruffly, then fled both the room and the Muffin, heading to town.
