Congrats on Pepperdine, Zely!! Pretty fancy school. 3nodding
And I hope you get your car figured out without too much more hassle, Luna. Car troubles give me a headache. I'm so glad I got Hiro's car all fixed up and smogged before he got here. It's great to not have to worry about it anymore. sweatdrop

hilaroma Dr. Fomite Akiiiii. heart
Also. I just finished watching Big Trouble in Little China. It was on Encore. I was so entertained every time a line came up, like "with light coming out of his mouth!"
Now I'm eating brussel sprouts. WTF. Seriously. Why not just watch your DVD?! gonk .... Or let me borrow it. xd Well, I wasn't really planning on watching it... I just turned the TV on and there it was. crying I couldn't look away.
Oh. And I just now counted how many unwatched DVDs I have. ...Counted each disc in a series boxed set as one, didn't include discs that contained "extras" for regular movies. 475. gonk
...Come over and you can watch it with me. ninja heart

LunaInverse 3.14 Chrysant Chocolate skittles must taste like death... confused I've heard they taste like tootsie rolls.
[...do they have tootsie rolls in teh UK?]Maybe a little bit, but tootsie rolls taste much better. And for the record, I don't like tootsie rolls all that much. gonk
I find Tootsie Rolls positively disgusting, so this is really making me scared of chocolate Skittles.

SoundBlast RaeRae Rave Exactly, so why not get a discount and better pay on top of it? wink Kids these days only think about money, where is the quality service? *coughs* We had something at work once, I was talking with the security guard a while ago and someone came in that wanted a new password. That's fine and all but he couldn't identify himself, which basically means we can't help him, since we can't give passports to people that can't even prove they're really who they say they are. The guy started screaming and yelling at the lady who was trying to help him on the other side of the table, never seen something like that. Apparently our service wasn't good enough. confused We get a lot of people like that. sweatdrop A lot.
It's amazing how little it takes to set some people off.

Skizzors Nothing like being on a line for a ride in Disney and finding out the people behind you live a town over from you.. xd That reminds me. xd When I was in line at the Denver airport on my way to D.C. last year, the person immediately behind me was one of my classmates from vet school. Going on an entirely unrelated flight for a vacation. I thought it was the strangest thing.

Zelyhon Oh, also, before I forget, I got accepted at Pepperdine Law School in southern California. This makes 2/2 and bodes well, in my opinion, for the others! XD Excellent. This figures perfectly into my plans...

RaeRae Rave iBarty RaeRae Rave iBarty RaeRae Rave I'd prefer retail to the library, mostly because I work two areas: ILL and circulation. Circulation is pure "customer" service, for spoiled rotten college students (ugh, private school), bitter old people, and very hurried teachers who don't understand what "We can't do that" means. At least in retail I'd get paid more and maybe get a discount. I suppose so..but either way, no matter where you go, you deal with stupid people. *shudders* Exactly, so why not get a discount and better pay on top of it? wink Well, I get paid minimum wage and get a discount..so I don't know. For the stuff I do, I don't earn enough money. However, minimum wage is supposed to be going up to $7.15 this summer. It's not just about minimum wage. It's about how many hours they'll actually let you work too. In which case I'm screwed.
I already get $7.15 per hour, but it's not enough for me to live off of because they won't let me work long enough. If I could get a damn job in retail downtown, I'd be set, but I never seem to make it in time, and when I do something goes wrong. Well, I get on average no less than 12 hours a week. The new girl has been getting some more hours than me though, so it's kind of pissing me off..though next week I get 31, and the week after I picked up another day because she's in school apparently. But..from 5pm-9:30pm? I doubt it. rolleyes

Well, it's not going to cost as much to get my car fixed as I thought, which is a good thing ($400 as opposed to $650), but I hate having to spend money to fix my car.
Cars are so convenient, but also are nothing but a huge money sink.
