...huhh...well, just to let any mods know, Deity'd like not to have his fight with Vipey closed if he's late...like, again. < <; Deity was late once or twice, and Vipey's been late...
::counts on his fingers::
...lots. So there's no point in suddenly giving a s**t now... >o>

((Gel, not to be rude, but I was really looking forward to our fight ending- regardless of the victor, for this sole reason: Rynn needed some god damn work on his profile.
And uh, since I thought the fight was over, I went and editted, removing the psionics and adding some other stuff- making him more of a true ice elementalist.
I also posted in the infirmary, which can be nixxed, I suppose.
This is just FYI.))

I was personally looking forward to finishing our fight too, because Lunaritina hasn't fought (due to the nature of FFA, these are difficult to obtain outside of controlled settings such as tournaments) with her new upgrades, which I've planned for months, and this fight's working pretty well to get my brain working (that ice spike debacle made me realize I need to define Reploid internal systems better, as I didn't have solidly defined models of all the important things and had completely forgotten about a few). I've got a lot of characters, but they're always crappy till they've been run through a real fight which shows all the stupid s**t I didn't think of, and since I like Lunaritina I'm anxious to keep her going through this tournament. Mostly, though, we had a good fun fight going and I don't want it to end like this (and the fact I had a good shot at winning doesn't hurt either).
As for your infirmary post, it's not like anything'd really suffer if that were to be nixxed, as it's not like much work went into it (no offense, of course). Don't care about your profile either, as I never looked at it in the first place.
And, really, if/when the fight gets unlocked it's all up to you how long the fight lasts; Lunaritina's quite capable of taking you out of the fight with a single hit (not necessarily killing you as long as you're not hit anywhere near a vital point) in this form, but as long as you keep dodging everything it'll be a slow fight that one side or another eventually wins by attrition.

Eh, sure. No offense taken and whatnot.
Anyway, I'll agree to have it reopened, if TMJ will allow it. Realistically for myself, I probably don't have a good chance of really doing much in this tournament, especially when people like Tac and Vahn and Fish are in it. (assuming I might beat you)
No, I will not throw the fight, considering, when fatigue is brought up, it really won't be that much longer..... Though I'd appreciate it if if you do manage to beat me, you wouldn't kill my char. I'd res him anyway, but that's just kinda annoying.

I'm trying to avoid killing characters when I can. Some advice: If you get shot again, try and take the shot in your leg (or possibly arm, I guess, but leg's a whole lot easier), Lunaritina doesn't currently have anything capable of killing you off a leg shot, while if she gets you in the torso with either of her primary weapon types right now you'll likely have to get someone to pick up the pieces for ya.

Er....k.
Anyway, can you give me more detail on the forcefield?

The forcefield is a feature unique to this armor, and as such isn't very well-defined. At present, it's pretty much a generic forcefield - blocks incoming stuff within a short distance around her, energy-based, can be pierced or briefly broken with a strong enough attack. I figure to maybe add some sensor upgrades and tie them into the forcefield system to allow a "smart" shielding system that only consumes energy when needed, but obviously I can't do that now so it'll work lightsaber-style (i.e., always "there", but consuming very little energy except when actually being used) for the purposes of this fight. The forcefield may deliver low-level shocks to things coming in direct contact with it, but nothing on the magnitude of what her armor can do (see below).
As I said, the forcefield is unique to this upgrade armor - hence she didn't have it until she activated the armor. What then did she use before? She didn't use a forcefield as most thought, but rather special properties of Reploid armor. I can go into specifics if you want but I'd rather not, so I'll leave it at that for this post.

On the subject of having so much of a life that people can't get on and make a post where required, regardless of how shitty it may be because you're pressed for time:
I'm taking 5 classes, my router is physically absent, meaning that when I do get home and have time, I can't access from my PC and have to wait until after 10 to use this shitty one to get on and check things (in addition to the hour I tend to get around 1PM on weekdays at the computer lab). The weekends are the worst for this, since I've been spending around 14 hours Saturday and Sunday for the last two weeks doing work on a correspondance course I'm taking. Meaning, I get on around 1AM so that I can email my assigment in... THEN deal with all your bickering... THEN make all the posts that I need to so nobody is waiting REGARDLESS of how tired I might be because sometimes s**t just needs to get done.
Whatever a previous ruling might have been on the grounds that you were too busy bitching at Ertai to make a post, just 'not wanting to' is not an excuse to go over the limit.
Now, as for bargains: I don't make them. You two seem to both want the thread opened, so it will open. As for the other one, Phallus wants it closed, but I'll admit that calling it closed retroactively is a low blow. If you want to forfeit that one, go ahead, I'll close it back up then.
@ Deity: Noted... though hopefully you two will actually make some progress soon. rofl
@ Viper: I'm keeping track of like 90 fight threads at once here, give me some leeway. I know you've been pushing it in all of your fights, I don't know the exact numbers offhand, though. xp

themightyjello You two seem to both want the thread opened, so it will open. Or, seeing as Tac already did this, I'll just strike out the closing post and un-strike the database thread.

BUTTSECKS. ...now that I've got your attention: Tac, you closed Rakane vs. James Morgan on grounds of ring out. I'm not seeing it, I looked back a few posts and still don't see it. What's your grounds for calling that one? [edit] I see what you're getting at, now, but in responce I simply have to ask: If you're so quick to call a DQ on something like that, where was the DQ for James summoning? Because that clearly was a summon. Despite that he said earlier that whatever he was doing was an illusion, the fact that it participated in physical combat makes it, without a doubt, a summon... We've got a double-foul, but James fouled like a page before Rakane did.

It may have participated in combat, but if that was the intended purpose of the illusion, how can it be anything more than a delightful trick? At any point did the illusion deal damage? No. At any point did the illusion receive damage? No. Rakene believed Shiva had been summoned and entered combat, therefore he believed his attacks were being deflected. (Note the blades making 'contact' seemed feather-light) If Shiva had killed Rakene and he believed it, that'd be another story, but the goal of Shiva was either to A: be 'killed' and get another illusionary image presented, or B: do that. XD

Tac, just as a quick question, how many of the three peices Mindblaze split himself into are in-bounds right now and how many are out-of-bounds? It's seemed like he's consistantly had 1/3 of himself out of bounds, but I don't even know what the hell to do with the ground that is the arena floor falling and rising, and falling again. What is where? xp
