"Ah, thanks so much, Keegan." Nina smiled a bit as she picked up a cup of coffee-- after all, she had been awoken rather abruptly, despite the fact that she had slept in. She took the lid off and blew on the liquid, so as to try to not scorch herself when she took a drink. It helped, for the most part, but the tip of her tongue was singed.

"Ah, ow. Hey, Rai! Whitney! Come get a drink!" she called, without turning her head back to look at the duo. Instead she looked downward, when she felt something soft brushing up against her leg. She smiled and squatted down to pet Seto, first on his head, then moving to scratch underneath his chin. It was nice to that there wasn't any bad blood between the both of them. Still petting the Pokemon and seeing her friends pick up a drink out of the corner of her eye, she looked up towards Kasiya. "Breakfast sounds awesome right now. Maybe we could pick something up over at the Department Store in Celadon?" she suggested, with a little shrug.

Maven looked outside and saw the group standing there having their beverages. Maven watched as Keegan went up. he said good morning... Maven took a deep breath and paused at the half open door looking outside seeing the group she met yesturday. She was visably shaking she didn't know what to do. it was awfully nice of Keegan to think of me...I have to be polite and should go and have a drink with the others...

As she was about to exit fear stopped her. She felt cold and her heart was thumping against her rib cage fiercly. With a gulp and a step she made it outside. She placed her head down as she walked. Each step carefully placed as she headed towards the bench. A coffee would help she was sure of it. She politely nodded to all as she went around everyone and picked up her cup.

"M-m-mornin..." she said softly as she held her cup in both hands hoping not to spill any or allow her shaking to be seen.

"Krabby, Mud Shot!" the man yelled. Seeing the small ice spikes shooting towards him, the Krabby shot a powerful jet of water into the ground, causing a mud wave to shoot up right in front of him like a wall. As the mud flew forwards, very few ice spikes made it through, those having done so losing enough velocity to fall harmlessly to the ground. Unfortunately, it having been more of a defensive move, the Mud Shot did not head towards the Poliwag, put at the ice pillar. As the remaining mud crashed into the pillar, a few cracks could be seen in the ice, but nothing more.

The man made a quick sigh after avoiding the attack. "Again kid, you think much too highly of yourself. Only those who lack confidence would believe in being 'played' by another. You might as well give up trying to intimidate me. My ears fail to recognize arrogance," he said with another smile.

As the boy followed closely behind his rivals father, tool in hand, he wondered what his friends were up to. Kasiya better not have more badges than me. The boy thought with silent envy, making a mental note to get another Gym battle under his belt soon. His thoughts turned to Kilik, and Nina. Feh, who knows. Those two love birds are probably off smooching somewhere. Mike smiled, unaware of the two's rocky friendship.

The cave was dark, and not many people were around. Even thought Mr. Ranmo was right in front of him, he felt lonely. Instinctively the boy reached for the second ball down on his strap, an Ultra Ball that housed a particular team member. "Come on Portabello." said the boy with a smile as he released his faithful Breloom.

The Pokemon blinked a few times to adjust his eyes to the practically pitch black cave. Greetings Master. He 'said' with his trademark bow.

Mike smiled, returning the bow, then quickly hurried to catch up to Mr. Ranmo, Portabello following behind.

Kasiya watched Seto in amazement - it was highly unlikely for the Persian to show affection to anyone except for her. Kasiya guessed that he had an idea of how Nina may have been feeling. "That sounds good to me," Kasiya nodded, thinking about picking up a few TMs while they were there. Yesterday's battle with that Raichu had given her a few ideas about Shocker, and perhaps adding a few new moves to the Raichu's repertoire would be just what she needed. Taking another sip of the hot chocolate, Kasiya sighed happily, glancing towards Maven as the girl came out to join them. "Good morning, Maven," she said, smiling. "How are you feeling this fine morning? It kind of looked like you were having a nightmare last night, and I've been worried. Are you okay?"

Rebecca winced again as her Pokemon was struck with yet another Thunderbolt. The duck fell to the ground, almost steaming. She lifted an arm to recall him, glancing up at the large screen that loomed behind Kilik. Golduck's picture faded away. The girl scowled. Weezing's picture was still bright and vibrant next to Kilik's smirk, and the two blocks below the Poison-type were still empty. I can't lose! Not to one Pokemon!

Maybe Rebecca was blowing it too out of proportion. Weezing was showing signs of heavy fatigue, nearly collapsing in his levitation. His eyes were heavy and his lids continually fell. The Poison-type wasn't going to last much longer. Kilik closed his eyes. I know that Weezing's going down, no matter what I do next. He held up a hand, and the chatter in the audience lessened. "Rebecca! I concede Weezing from the match!" The chatter picked up again, many 'what?' and 'Is he okay?' statements running about. "You see, Weezing's not going to be able to take much more," he explained, "And I'm not going to stand around and watch him go down, even if it is valiently. So.." he snapped his fingers, then took Weezing's Pokeball, recalling his partner. The photo of it faded to gray, just like Dewgong and Golduck.

"No! I wanted to take him down, fair and square!" she stomped her foot, grabbing her next Pokeball, "Whatever it is you choose, I'll make sure to take it down!" The crowd cheered at her words, whooping and hollering. She glared daggers at Kilik, then tossed her ball. The orb landed and burst open, revealing a small figure. It stood on four paws, adorned in orange fur with a bright yellow mane. The Pokemon crouched and growled, looking at the boy. "Ready, Flareon?!"

"Wha...wha...WHAAAAAT?!!" Kilik was astonished. He took a step back. Of all the Pokemon he could think of that she might use, Flareon was the last thing that came to his mind. Shaking his head, Kilik grabbed a ball from his belt. "Fine then! We fight Fire with Fire!" He tossed, revealing to the crowd his very own Flareon. The fox barked happily, then glanced over at the other Flareon. Instantly, he went on the defensive. Ironically, Flareon was normally very polite to female Pokemon. Maybe it was because he'd never fought another Flareon before.

"Hahaha!" She laughed, managing to get the audience laughing with her, "Why bother fighting...?" she smirked.

"Yep. I'm head down to that area pretty soon." Mag responded. "I was thinking that we'd train up a bit before challenging Surge though." Mag stated. "Hey did you know that our old neighbor Linalee was looking for you?" Alice said with a sly look. "I did actually, and we've already met up. Thanks for that great surprise move on her Barboach by the way. It was a real pain to fight with my Tsunami." Mag said sarcastically. "Now that was rather fast..." Alice mused. "So you said something about training," Pete interjected, "If you want to travel back here we could set up some training with some of our breeding pokemon. I think we've still got enough skills to take you on." Pete said with a familiar burning look in his eye.

"Now that is a good proposition." Mag hadn't ever really trained with his Grandfather but he had heard that he was quite the trainer in his day. "I'll check with Linalee when she wakes up and see if she still wants to tag along with me." But Mag hadn't quite expected the reaction his grandparents were about to give him. "Now wait a minute there sonny! Did you just say 'when she wakes up'?" Pete said give a supsicious look to his wife. "Now you two better be keeping safe there!" Alice said with a serious look. "I don't think you're quite ready for those responsibilities." Alice continued. "You better get up here fast so we can make sure you two check out okay." Pete said as he began to crack a smile as he quickly hung up the phone. Mag now a bit mortified at his grandparents could only shake his head and mutter. "That wasn't what I meant..."

"Good morning Mag!" Linalee shouted as she came up behind him. "What's up?" She asked as Mag jumped at the noise. "Was it something I said?" she asked seeing his slightly red tinted face.
