*closes her eyes in concentration, scrunching her face up with the effort*
*after a minute or so of this, she lifts her hand, and cautiously reaches out as though to grab something . . . but her hand closes on only air, and she opens her eyes with a frustrated sigh* I felt as though I almost had it . . . . but I lost it.

WhimsicalCow *closes her eyes in concentration, scrunching her face up with the effort* *after a minute or so of this, she lifts her hand, and cautiously reaches out as though to grab something . . . but her hand closes on only air, and she opens her eyes with a frustrated sigh* I felt as though I almost had it . . . . but I lost it.
Over the past few short days since she happened upon the Brink, she's met so many people, and all of them kind. Meeting new people was starting to become something exciting again.
...again? ...when was the last time I've even met anyone new.. that I can remember?
"A-anyway," she thought aloud, shaking her head, "I'm Selurnis. Nice to meet you."
She paused for a moment, "...may I ask what you're doing there?"

Maggie, try again. You have to picture the thing you want so clearly that you know that when you open your eyes, it will still be there. You need to focus on each and every last detail. The texture, the weight. You must know it intimately, as if it were a part of yourself. Then when you open your eyes, you will KNOW that it will be there, and it will be.

Now remember, Maggie... The key is not to WISH for it to be there, but to KNOW that it already is. As surely as if you picked it up from its original spot and placed it on the table, when you open your eyes, it will be sitting right there, right where you left it. Right where you KNEW that it was.
