((A piggy-back ride? D: *stumped*))
Alti took his seat next to Haar and across from his father, bright eyes moving from Red to the hostess and then finally resting on Haar. "Stupid. I wanted to get you here before you really did pass out," he muttered back. "I mean, I thought you wanted to eat. I can tell that's the only reason you'd drag your tired a** out here." Of course, he was speaking in a tone low enough that his father wouldn't hear -- although, even if he had been speaking normally, the man's attention was likely too consumed with the hostess and her persistent ways (though he was doing his best to refuse her).
Alti flinched slightly as he felt something.... what the hell, why was Haar touching his wrist?!? He shifted slightly away from the other, a light flush on his cheeks, and a look of utter disgust on his face. Of course, he wasn't as disgusted as all that, but he had to mask the flush and his own surprise. He shook his head slowly, picking up the menu with his spare hand and opening it to try and hide his slightly pinked cheeks, having turned his face away from the other. It was only a small blush, but a blush all the same... and Alti never flushed. "Let go of my hand, Moron," he muttered, golden eyes glancing from Haar to his father. He didn't want his father to think that... that Alti was anything more than a friend to Haar. "If I'd taken your hand, it'd have been harder to pull you. The length of our arms combined would have made it easier to get separated, particularly since hands often do. Anyway, like hell I'd ever hold your hand. People might make... assumptions. That creep from earlier already thought we were a couple and we weren't even touching then. I really don't need any more of that," he said, finally feeling safe enough in his scowl to lower the menu. "And what was the other option, anyway?" he asked curiously.

[[Sona PMed me asking wtf the other option was... X3 I cracked, so I might as well have Haar admit it, and no, it was not a piggy back ride. XD Haar is much more internally perverted than that. D:]]
Haar rolled his eyes, "Yeah, because friends are forbidden from helping eachother, it would've been better than doing a number on my shirt," he muttered, staring down at the wrinkled mess that he was currently wearing.
Scanning a line of the menu, the soldier promptly dropped the other's hand while at same time answering his last question, "Strip tease~ No other motivation quite like 'em," he explained, smirking to himself before hiding his eyes behind the menu.

Alti rolled his eyes right back at the other. "It's not like your shirt can't be fixed," he replied, just as stubbornly. With that, he raised a hand to the overly wrinkled protion of the other's shirt, muttered something, and the spot straightened itself out. He had gotten into enough messes as a child to at least know how to fix the minor things, since it was nearly always better that Allora not find out. "And how the hell would a strip tease have helped you not to get lost?" he asked, a scowl planted on his lips. Like hell he would ever do something like that. He glared at Haar, his golden eyes narrowed to match the rest of his expression. He raised a hand and then, with full deliberation, whacked the other lightly, but not too lightly, on the head. "I thought you were tired and hungry. Not horny," he said rather angrilly, turning away from the man to investigate his menu.

Haar blinked several times over, the hit to his head giving him a rather dizzy feeling. "I saw you, I was just too tired to keep up," he explained, an edge sounding in his voice that hadn't been there before. He really was very tired, the steps plus the walking and finally being dragged against his own pace had been enough to make him feel utterly nauseous. The whack to his temple hadn't helped either, simply gave him a splitting headache. "I'm at my worst when I'm about to fall over," he said weakly, holding a hand to his head, rubbing at his temples before briefly scrunching up his eyes.

TableTopWatch [[Haha, 'Chai. whee ]]
Peyton eased his body into a relaxed state. Although he was clearly uncomfortable with the situation he was still a soldier, a ranger, who relied on secrecy and stealth in order to survive, so calming himself was fundamental. Breathing slowly, the blond nodded in affirmation, whispering a strained, "Sorry," as he tensed involuntarily as fingertips detailed the complex markings spread down one of his hips. Staring up at the ceiling, the boy tried to think about anything other than what was happening right then.
That afternoon... Under a canopy of leaves Cain had told him a tale that almost seemed unimaginable...that is, unbelievable until he proved it true by revealing the seal. Did his parents miss him? Would they be happy to see him or would they rather he stay here, stay home...? Had they gotten over the grief of losing their little boy? With a heavy breath, the teen mused to himself, wondering why Cain had tried so hard to find him... They had been friends, if he recalled correctly...that's what the knight had told him, anyway. Good friends, he figured if the water-user had traveled so far to reach him... Craning his neck upward to stare at the noble, Peyton scrutinized his expression. Past all the teasing remarks and smirks, the heat-user was very much committed to helping, a very concentrated look settled upon his handsome features. "So...do you think you can break it?" He asked hesitantly, hoping his quite tone wouldn't disturb the other's thought process too much. Malachai laid a palm over the youth's lower abdomen before covering that hand with his other. He paused and then grinned down at the Commander's favorite. "Just tell me when you can't stand the heat anymore, okay? Can you handle that, Peyton?" As his inquiry ended, a warmth seeped into the other's skin-- heat writhing to find the very roots of the ice segment and shatter the curse's hold. But when Malachai could not find the curse at first, the heat intensified...
And then vanished as he finally removed his hands.

"Okay," Peyton whispered, wincing a bit as the heat user attempted to break the curse. After what seem a lifetime the seal slowly ebbed away, breaking into tiny pieces. It kept disintegrating until it appeared to be dust-- ash, Peyton mused as he stared down at the section which had been purified completely. Covering up himself, the boy muttered a soft 'thank you,' before glancing up at Cain before he fell backwards.
He couldn't really see well. He couldn't really feel much of anything. He could hear a loud, very loud crashing noise though. It took a while to realize that it was the crash of waves against a shore. It was storming. It was dark.
Peyton held a hand to his head as he slowly pushed himself up. "Ah-- What...did-- What just happened?" He asked, looking at the dark-haired knight for an answer. The knight shrugged, "I don't know which thing is under each seal, your memories, your aura... I don't know. It's too soon to tell, I would just rest," he murmured before sitting down on the other side of the bed.
Xel smiled a bit at the trio, "Well, thank you Malachai for your services," he murmured before continuing, "And I'll stay here until you fall asleep kiddo," he aimed at Peyton as he pulled up a chair next to th bed.

Concerned blue eyes watched as the seemingly-recovered Peyton fainted back onto the bed. He'd used quite a bit of magic, but he'd tried to keep it at least isolated. The potent aspect of his powers was that he could impact other people's body heat and cause fevers, heat exhaustion, dehydration, or death by essentially cooking the body internally.
He was all too relieved when the ranger awoke almost as soon as he'd fallen. "Sure, Xel," he replied, "No problem." Looking back to the blonde on the bed as he moved closer to the door, he suggested, "Maybe have some water before you get to bed. Good night, guys."
With that, the young man left the room. He was just passing down the stairs when he caught a glimpse of that all to familiar crimson head....
"OI! RUEHL!"

Alti began, his golden orbs widening as he saw how his small hit had hindered the other. "Haar, I'm sorry, I didn't mean t-- I mean, are you all right? I...." His voice trailed off, concern evident in his golden orbs. But there was something else there -- Alti was obviously still feeling quite overly guilty for having been the cause of Haar's pain. And now... now he'd only just made it worse. Haar was hurting again and Alti, being stupid and carefree and... and just a moron in general... Alti had gone and made it worse again. "Haar, do you want me to take you back the room? I think I have enough energy to get us back.... or... I--I don't know, is there something I can... do?" The poor teen was obviously quite... desperate. He wanted to stop feeling guilty, wanted to stop feeling like he was endangering his only friend's wellbeing. He really hated that feeling -- particularly when... Haar... was his only friend. Other than Haar... and Red and Allora... Alti had no one. And after the festival was over, who knew when he would ever see his father again? He didn't want to be... by himself. Lonely. It was a hard word to think and he shrunk back from it mentally, but it was the truth.((Angggggggggggst. D: Eventually all my characters become guilt-ridden, don't they? Dx Alti sounds so pathetic! ;___________; *dies*))

[[Oh but we still love him...and you know what that means~~ :D]]
"Just...stop talking," Haar muttered stiffly. He hadn't meant to sound so mean, but the other's voice-- any sound really- was making his head spin. Rubbing at his temples fiercely, the soldier winced as he took a swig of complimentary water. The ice cold fluid was enough to knock some sense back into him, and although his head was still splitting, he was alert enough to realize how grouchily he had responded. "I'm...fine," he murmured, easing his hands down to his lap as he turned a weak smile towards the teen. "Sorry...for sounding like such a jerk, like I said, I'm at my worst when I'm...tired," he explained before looking at the menu to pick a meal.

Alti had been about to say something more when--
"Just stop talking."
The dark-haired teen closed his mouth slowly and sank back down to his seat, turning his head away from the other. He didn't know... what kind of face he was making. But he knew it was one that he wouldn't want Haar to see. He felt... pathetic. Utterly useless and stupid and it really was all his fault. He felt terrible. Alti nodded slowly to the rest of the other's words, though he didn't raise his eyes to meet the other's. He didn't see Haar's attempt at a smile and he didn't believe the other's weak apology. "It's... it's all right," he murmured, looking substantially more subdued. '...I deserved it.' After all, it was his fault that everything was so... poorly off. That Haar was feeling so... bad.
"If you're tired, then... just sleep. I'll wake you when the food comes, alright? Or, really, I... I can take you back to the hotel, if you want. I mean, I'm not... completely inept. I managed... to get us home when we were... traveling," he murmured slowly, still not raising his eyes. He raised the menu again, once more using its lamenated leafs to sheild his face from the other's weary gaze. He really didn't want anyone to see his expression, whatever it was.

[[aw, poor bebe alti. :'C]]
"If I don't eat something then I'll be in trouble, I was supposed to eat earlier and didn't," he explained in a quiet tone, "And I go to sleep now I won't wake up," he added with a frown. "So really, I'm stuck here, which I'm fine with as long as you don't keep hitting me in the head," he muttered, clenching his teeth as the hostess chattered on with Red. Would she just shut up already? It was f**king obvious the older man wasn't interested and yet she still persisted. He figured he should pick something of substance, so the pasta was out... He'd just get some sort of meat dish and be done with it.

The woman finally finished what seemed to be a long winded, reminiscent story with no meaning whatsoever and which had been, apparently, said all in one breath with a, "I'm so sorry for taking up so much of your time, may I take your order please?" She was beaming with an incredibly blindingly bright smile that did nothing to disguise just how disapointed she was that Red had not taken a liking to her yet. The older man nodded slowly, glancing down first at his menu and then to Alti and Haar -- who were both obviously in a rather... uncomfortable situation. "Yes, could I have this, please?" he said, indicating the specific item on the menu*. He glanced back to Alti, then, who looked up just in time to catch his father's gaze.
"Ah, could... I have the grilled fish, then, please?" he asked, his tone surprisingly couteous. Apparently he could be polite when the situation called for it. The hostess turned waitress (because she simply could not leave Red alone -- she was just so drawn to that sort of astute, polite man, who was so overly and breathtakingly handsome to boot!) then turned to Haar, waiting for his order.
((*because I can't think of what sort of thing Red would eat. D: I'm not a... meat eater... and I'm not sure if he would be overly into meat or what. He's just so... gentle. GAH! Dx *brain spasm*))

[[lol, I couldn't think of what specifically to get Haar. X3 I'm sure he'd eat steak but whatever. x_x]]
"Eh, which do you like better?" He asked, pointing out two options. The seemingly cheery hostess motioned to the favored entree and scribbled down Haar's order. Leaning his head in his hands, the young man heaved a sigh as he stared down at the bare table. Well, this was not awkward at all. He was sitting there half out of mind with Alti, who was acting incredibly weird, and said teen's long-lost father. Not awkward in the least...

With certain, measured, deliberation, the dark haired teen slowly raised a hand and placed it with surprisingly gentleness on the other's shoulder. He didn't want Haar to think he was going to... hit him or anything. Alti didn't say a word, but he didn't think he needed to -- after all, it would be incredibly hard to miss that Alti was pressing a certain amount of his energy from his palm into the other's being. He really wanted to stop feeling that deep, stinging guilt... the feeling that weighed heavily against his shoulders.
Red looked on with some amount of interest, but was adept enough with magic not to misunderstand his son's hand placement. He could feel, even from that distance, what his son was doing. It was sweet, certainly, but he looked on with a certain amount of concern. He didn't want the boy to drain himself too much, after all....

Haar was tempted to have Alti drain all of hius being if it meant he would feel better, but of course that was the completely irrational side of him that the generals of the fire nation loved. Instead he allowed the teen to give him enough energy to stay awake, possibly a tiny bit alert, but nothing more for he didn't want both of them hurt. Besides, he only needed to stay upright during dinner, and manage to shovel some food into his mouth and remember to swallow. Maybe even chew but he figured that would be pushing it. Haar knew that the boy's father would most likely leave him alone, he hadn't been too probing with questions thankfully so far and with how obvious his condition was Alti and Red would probably use the time to talk to solely eachother.
Plucking Alti's hand from his shoulder, Haar pressed it firmly against the table, holding it there for a moment or so to relate that he wanted the boy to stop for reasons he wasn't going to make vocal. He assumed that Alti already knew he thought of him as a friend, so he didn't need to say anything other than, "Thank you," he murmured softly, feeling slightly more energized and able to keep his eyes at least somewhat open. His headache was gone, which was a definite plus and... The young man stared down at the table for a minute before realizing his hand was still press atop the others. Okay, so maybe he wasn't as alert as he would've liked, but he was better, he thought as he moved him hand to the side.
