It was just an inkling. No real basis at all. I haven't read many of the fights in enough detail to be even remotely sure.
I've scanned most of them briefly though to keep on the up and up. biggrin Lots of good stuff so far.

You should remake the Aekea Open and have it as a giant pitfighting tournament where people have to fight increasingly dangerous robots in crazy arenas until they either die or get to the final king of the hill battle on a scrap heap.
