"I'm sure that person you said you were talking to before was him. The one who you wanted to help. Even in death he wants to watch over you." Mao sighed. "I don't like him and I definitely don't like the idea of having to share you with anyone but... I want you to be happy. If you want him back then you have to find him a new body."

"What do I have to do with this new body? Do I have to kill the person who owns it, or can it be a dead body? Do we somehow create a body like God did originally?" Nathan hated that when he finally opened his eyes he'd see Mao's pain, but he couldn't help the way he felt: Mao had been gone for seven years, and Yoru had helped him start to recover. He'd never forgive himself for letting - no, for deciding to have Yoru killed, but he still wanted him to live again. He looked at Mao, guilty.

You can use a dead body or make one. The body has to be accepted by him though. Just a matter of vanity though. You have to make sure the body had not started to decay at all though otherwise things can go very wrong. Naturally creating the body is the best way to go but it's the most difficult. I personally have no idea how to do it. It was hard enough to find this body I have."

"Who would I ask about creating a body? I prefer that to killing someone for their body..." He had a sneaking suspicion that it would be Mao's grandmother, but she'd never help them bring Yoru back.

"You know her majesty is way out of the question. I know this guy but... I'm not sure he's a safe person to talk to. He's a little crazy. He's a necromancer and he works around dead bodies all day long."

Nathan took a second to consider the safety and stupidity of his actions, but dismissed it within seconds: he needed Yoru back. Even if Yoru rightfully left him.
"We need to go and meet the necromancer. I'm an Angel, so I can either help him and ask for his help in return... or somehow convince him not to be so crazy. But I can't leave Yoru dead - it's not right, and I don't want to live like that."
Nathan strode to Mao's side and gripped his hand. "I can fly us there if you'd show me the way? Or you can tell me, without coming. But I won't be leaving there without a body or some other way to get Yoru back. I'd even go see 'her majesty' if I had to." He knew, for once, that he wouldn't be baffled by Mao's grandmother's words. Even if he went there alone. "Take me there."

Mao sighed and finally nodded giving up on all chances of convincing Nathan not to go. "Alright. I'll go with you but only because that man you're going to see is a lunatic. He has weird perverted ways about him too. If he asks for anything that seems too outrageous then just walk away.
Mao left the apartment with Nathan. Though it hadn't seemed like it along time had passed. Mao had obviously missed work but that didn't concern him much now. "If you can manage to fly on your own then I'll let you do so. It'll serve as good practice for you anyway. Mao spread his demonic wings wide and then took off. Nathan would follow. "Make sure you can keep up. We have to fly quickly otherwise we won't be able to get there."
They flew far pat the city and past many of the towns that surrounded it. They had to fly on for hours until they reached a tall mountain range. It was around midnight by then. The moon was located right over the tallest mountain and it emitted a strange stream of light over it. This created a portal that was quickly vanishing. Not having time to waste Mao held Nathan's hand and sped up as they dove down. They managed to make it just as the portal disappeared.
They cave they were in was dark with a few crystals lined up on the walls emitting a dim light revealing their path. There was an odd, unbearable smell coming from deep in the cave. Mao was absolutely disgusted by it. It was a strong smell of rotting flesh. "I think I'd go insane too if I had to get used to that smell all day. You sure you want to go see this guy?"

Nathan had few doubts for once as he followed Mao. He knew that he wanted Yoru back, even if he couldn't set either Mao or Yoru free - they deserved to be free, but he didn't know how to do it. So at least they would both be alive - he didn't know where Yoru had ended up, but he didn't want him to be alone.
He flew better than he had in a long while - he was comfortable with himself in a way, just because he'd made a decision and was sticking with it. No matter what this guy asked, he was sure he could cope with it. He had to get Yoru back...
His wings got more comfortable, more used to moving as they flew, so that when they reached the mountain's portal he wanted to keep going. Deciding that he'd make sure to go flying properly and more often, he gently squeezed Mao's hand and landed holding hands with him.
The smell hurt his nose, so he buried his head in Mao's shoulder for a second. "Yeah. He needs air freshener in here - maybe we could give him some next time we visit?" he murmured, breathing in Mao's scent and feeling a lot better about the rotting flesh smell. "That's better." The Angel moved his head away, still holding Mao's hand as he smiled. "Now all I can smell is you because you're a lot closer than the rotting bodies. We have to go see him, even if only to offer to bring back air freshner." He again squeezed Mao's hand. "Thank you for coming with me."

"Yeah sure... I doubt the air freshener would work. That smell comes from the zombies he's got walking around. Try not to get freaked out. Those things get out of control sometime. He's got skeletons too but at least they don't stink." Mao walked with Nathan down the tunnel.
It took a while to get deeper into the larger caverns but once they were there Nathan could easily see what Mao had been warning him about. There were three zombies stumbling around exactly. Two were behind a long examination table simply moaning and finding it difficult to move. Another was being scared back by two skeletal soldiers holding torches. That one was crawling with maggots. The was a man, much younger looking than Mao but not quite a teenager trembling with fear on top of the table. He was practically screeching and throwing anything he could find at the corpse.
"Ew! Get away you abomination! get those things away from my lab or so help me I'll call forth the fires of hell to torch your soul right along with that putrid body!" The man's voice was rather feminine and high pitched though that could have been caused by his fear. He was wearing a lab coat with an all black outfit underneath and straps around his face that were covering one of his eyes completely. His hair was black except in the front where it had turned silver on its own.
Mao looked at Nathan and then at the scene and shook his head. "That's his grand idiocy. He works with corpses day and night and the man has a terrible fear of maggots. His name is Tatsuhiro. Born and raise in Japan. The man is older than I am and trust me I'm pretty old. He's a moron, a freak, and a lunatic."
Tatsuhiro turned when he heard Mao's voice and gave him a mean look. "Shut up and help me get rid of this thing! All you demons are good for is showing off and acting high and mighty. You want to act so great then get rid of that monstrosity because I know you're here to ask for something."
"It's your damn monster. You made it, you get rid of it."
"GET IT OUT OF HERE NOW!!!!!!!!!!!"
Mao sighed. He snapped his fingers and in an instant the corpse was on fire. It took seconds for it to be reduced to a pile of ash. "There moron. It's gone." Mao turned to Nathan and sighed. "Go ahead and try to reason with him but I wish you luck now."
Tatsuhiro hadn't noticed Nathan until just now. He examined the angel and then blushed a little. "God has sent a vision of beauty here to punish me again?" he asked getting off of the table.

Nathan had watched the zombies with horror - those maggots must hurt them! If they were alive enough to stumble around, then surely they felt the maggots eating their skin? He'd let go of Mao's hand without realising it, sympathy for the zombies making him unaware of most other things.
Until Tatsuhiro screamed, that is. The moment he did, Nathan's protective instincts came to the fore. If Mao had not answered the man's pleas and disposed of the zombie, Nathan would have tried to use Angelic light to get rid of the maggots. It was actually lucky that Mao stepped in, because he didn't have control of those powers properly yet and might have hurt someone accidentally.
Despite Mao's words, Nathan didn't see a lunatic or a freak. Instead he saw someone that needed to be held, helped. Therefore, when Tatsuhiro started talking about Nathan's 'beauty', he blushed and went forward, hands up as he shook his head. "No punishment. I just wanted your help..." he said softly, unfolding his wings so he could wrap both his arms and his wings around Tatsuhiro, hugging him as a gentle, soothing glow surrounded them.
Mao might have seen it before, but Nathan had never used it on him: it was only recently that he learnt to control the soothing version of the light. He started stroking Tatsuhiro's hair. "Do you feel better?"

"Much... Thank you. I am certainly glad to have someone around not screaming at me for once. You're not like demons. They're always so mean to me."
Mao growled. He couldn't stand watching Nathan trying to comfort the other man. Mao knew better than to fall for that act. "Get over yourself. I may be a demon but at least I have all my damn brain cells intact. Your is just as rotten as those things you make."
"You see," Tatsuhiro said looking up at Nathan with sad eyes. "Mean. A big meanie. But that's okay. Over five thousand years has taught me to deal with people like him." He straighten up a bit and then looked deep into Nathan's eyes. "You... Came here to ask something of me?" Tatsuhiro leaned in and without warning pulled Nathan into a kiss. He forced his tongue into Nathan's mouth and made the kiss deeper and longer than it had to be. This was how he got information though. He didn't like long explanations. When he pulled away he had all the knowledge of Nathan's desires. "A body... You want me to make a body for someone? It takes time but I can do it. There is a small fee though."

Nathan patted Tatsuhiro's head at the mention of mean demons. "Mao isn't usually mean. I just - we had a rough day today..." he murmured, defending Mao without stopping the soothing light. When Mao made his comment, Nathan had turned toward him a little, arms still around Tatsuhiro.
"Mao, we don't need to take it out on other people when I screw our day up..." Then he found himself staring at the sad look on Tatsuhiro's face, hand stilling in the necromancer's hair.
When he found himself being kissed, he blushed brighter and gave a small moan - he couldn't help it. It was the first time someone had taken control of him and done the kissing before Nathan knew what was happening. He liked it. He preferred being in control when it came to later - learning a person's body was something he loved doing - but that kiss would keep him hot for a lot longer than he'd want to admit to Mao or Yoru.
When the kiss was broken, he stared at Tatsuhiro in a bit of a daze, his wings spreading but not vanishing: if Mao grabbed at him now, it would hurt his wings. Badly. Yet he couldn't move away for a minute, nodding mutely at the question before dropping his arms and stepping back himself. "U-uhh.... do..." he cleared his throat. "Do I need to do anything to help with finding the body, or just pay the fee?" he croaked. He couldn't look at Mao, but he had to fight not to wrap the front of himself up in his wings.

"I make bodies from scratch. They end up better that way and they are preserved longer." Tatsuhiro moved away from the other and then walked back behind the table where his two undead servants were. "My price... Is very fair. I just want you to sleep with me. You and that demon both. Don't take it the wrong way or anything. I'm not asking for sex. I simply want the two of you to let me rest with you. That way I can borrow some energy from you both. I'll need it to make that body perfect. After that you can go on your merry way and leave me here to continue my slow decay as all other do." His tone had changed to one more elegant and that of someone full of years of knowledge and wisdom.
Mao wasn't too happy with what was going on but he had gone through it himself before so he knew Tatsuhiro wasn't just screwing around. He knew well that necromancers like Tatsuhiro drew energy from other's bodies. It was how they kept themselves alive since giving life was a forbidden art that drain the energy from anyone foolish enough to use such dark magics. "I keep my clothes on you pervert."
Tatsuhiro shook his head. I can't let you do that. I have to be able to communicate with your body not your rags. Besides I'm not making a deal with you. My business is with Nathan." Tatsuhiro turned to Nathan with a smile. "Yes I learn names quickly while I extract information. Before you even ask, no I can't read your mind or look into your deeper thoughts or memories. It's none of my business anyway."

((Wow, we almost have 2012 posts in this thread!))
Nathan had registered the 'not sex' part, and was a little disappointed. He believed in sex combined with love: that hadn't changed. But since he'd liked that kiss, he couldn't help wishing...
He cleared his throat, shook his head to clear it, and strode to Tatsuhiro's side. "Around how long are freshly created bodies preserved? Would we need to repeat the creation process in a set number of years, to anticipate the decay of the body? I only ask because I would prefer to know and be able to help before the decay started - even if that is centuries away." He stated calmly.
Then he glanced back at Mao, eyes pleading... for a moment. Then he bit his lip and looked at Tatsuhiro. "May I have a moment with Mao before we discuss the fee and potential decay of the body?" he smiled pleasantly, eyes gleaming.

"Certainly. I will get things ready in the meantime. You can find me in my study just down the hall," Tatsuhiro said as he pointed to the doorway. The rest of the caverns were actually set up nicely and it was like a real home. He left the room and when he left the creatures walked in the other direction as they left also.
Mao shook his head as he watched them all leave and then the looked at Nathan. "What do you think?"
