If Cayden's heart was beating, it would have sunk. Right to the ground and dropped. He nodded while remaining silent, though something was on his mind. He had his hopes up, and they were crushed. 'I'm alone...' He thought, or so he thought he thought to himself. But if he could feel Kaida, could she feel him too? Or her mate, which in turn was Kale? He didn't know, ad he hated thinking about it. But his face now was looking down, almost ashamed. He sighed and stood there, waiting for Kale to make the next move. Where was the house they would be staying in?

Kale glanced at him and chuckled. "You look so depressed boy. Weren't you listening? I said the Kale you HEARD about is dead. THAT Kale is no longer alive."

Cayden frowned, then looked up at Kale. "You do know him." He said. "And he's a vampire..." He said, a slow smile being pieced together. He looked up and down Kale, and then met his eyes. His face went blank with realization. "You're Kale...aren't you...?" He spoke softly and slowly, taking a minute to say the sentence.

"Kale is my name, but I'm not the Kale in your story. Why? Because." Kale frowned, looking away. "I don't remember anything after I was turned, not even the first few days. I don't remember anything about my human life, not family, friends, or even if I had a pet or what I was like. Nothing." He glanced back at him. "However, now that I am able to control myself, I smelt the blood in you was very similar to mine. You are part of my family from my human life. You asked why I am helping you, maybe this little piece of information will clear that tiny mind of yours for now."

Cayden shook his head when he started the speech. He didn't care if Kale said he wasn't Kale. Cayden knew the Kale before him was who he was speaking of, whether or not Kale wanted to believe it. To his comment, he only bit his lip and nodded, his small fangs sticking out a bit. His eyes searched Kale's for a moment but the looked away abruptly. One thing ran through his mind though. He had a family.

Kale just walked around, looking around the area. He just kept Cayden with him just to keep him from feeding from the people.

Cayden was struggling, his body shaking. So many people...so much blood! "J-Just o-o-one...." He begged Kale with a hurt voice.

Kale glared at him. "This is why I had you eat before." his grip on Cayden's arm tightening. He dragged him to an all you can eat meat restarant. He went to the cashier and paid but didn't move away. "We need the rarest meat you got, hardly cooked. As much as you can get us, I'll pay for it if I need to." he told her coldly.
"Uh....y-yes of course right away." the waiter stated. Then sat them at a chair and went to the kitchen.

Cayden couldn't help it. As a newborn he was naturally hungry, especially around these people! He held his breath as his jaw, his opposite hand holding Kale's wrist that was holding Cayden's arm. He gulped and waited for the meant, not understanding how he would drink blood from the meat.

The meat came fast, 6 plates in front of them.
"Now chew on theses." Kale stated.

Cayden looked at the meat only for a moment before taking huge chunks of it and drinking the delicious liquid. He was down to only two chunks...which saddened him. "is this all?" He asked innocently.

Cayden sighed. He couldn't tell, but Kale seemed angry. He quickly finished off the meat, downing about ten or so more chunks. When he was satisfied to where he wanted no more blood, he stopped eating and looked at Kale.

Kale was just starring at the table. He was trying to find out what happened to Kaida, someone had grabbed her and that set him off as it was. He went through her mind to get the scent of the people there since she seemed to be trying to hide their faces from him. His fist clenched as he finally got what he searched for. "If they take her from me they are as good as dead. I don't care who they are, the Elders won't get away with it." he stated suddenly, it seemed to Cayden at least.
'Kaida, what is going on? The elders have arrived there, why are they still there?' he questioned. 'They should've left when they found out I wasn't there.'

Cayden stayed tense there, letting Kale speak with her.
Kaida groggily woke up. 'K-Kale? They...they want me I believe...' She said. 'For you and the boy...to kill y-you...and make me watch and th-then live w-w-with-out you...' She was a wreck, needing Kale so badly.
