(( Kanda: :'D YAY!!! Kiah got shot in the side by a few muggers after her and Sil went to a bar... But she got one of them in the leg, so I suppose it's even.

Jack: All German Shepherds... all mine...

Sil: I do suffer with you. >:I ))

Kiah froze when she heard a familiar voice call out to her and cursed herself for not looking behind her to make sure there was no one nearby. She decided to pretend she didn't hear him and picked up the pace a bit, wincing and feeling her wound stretch with every step. Though she felt bad about it, she really didn't want him to see her so... weak.

Vaguely hearing someone's strange song, Kiah started heading down a different hallway, not even sure where she was going at this point.

"Hey!" he called again.

He took off into a jog and quickly caught up. He noticed she was clearly in pain and immediately stopped in front of her so she couldn't go any further. There was a hint of concern in his eyes as he looked at her, crossing his arms.

"You look like you should be in the infirmary. I thought you were just Komui's secretary, what happened to you?"

Kiah was forced to a stop when Kanda rushed in front of her, which made her nervous enough to cover her wound so he wouldn't see the spots of blood where it had been irritated. She rested against the wall and took a few seconds to get her breath back before she answered. "I... I'm going back... I just need to get something from my room..."

Kiah bit her lip at his next question, not really wanting to tell him, but not wanting to lie either. "I was... ah... shot..." she mumbled, looking away and making it harder to hear her.

Zachary immediately saw that Star wasn't comfortable with him invading her personal space. He grinned.

"Star, huh? Were your parents hippies?" He turned himself upside-down and floated even closer to her. "The name's Zachary. As you can tell, I'm dead. And being dead means I can do things like this." He stuck his arm out at her, which promptly went through her body.

"I rather dislike my real name so it's what I chose to go by," She stated calmly, leveling the spirit with a golden eyed glare. She too another step back as he reached toward her, eyes narrowing to slits and hand twitching toward the small 'sheath' at her belt out of habbit, "Don't do that again," She added, a slight edge coming to her voice.

Star's reaction only amused him more. Grinning even widely, Zachary flipped himself right-side up and began circling around her.

"What's a fine lady like you doing in a place like this? Don't you know it gets pretty dangerous around here, what with the random Akuma attacks happening and whatnot?"

((Zachary's not malicious, he's just an a** XD ))

Star crossed her arms over her chest, watching as he circled her, "I assure you, I can handle myself. I am an exorcist after all. A few akuma are nothing I can't handle. I'm sure a little spirit like you wouldn't be too hard to handle either."
She smirked at the thought, more than a little tempted to pull out her weapon and show him just what she was capable of. People paid when they underestimated her, and she wasn't going to make exceptions just because someone was already dead.

Zachary let out a hearty laugh.

"Watch out, we got a tough girl over here!" He raised his hands in mock fear. "Joke's on you, Miss Exorcist; Innocence may be enough to destroy an Akuma, but it doesn't affect Spirits." He grinned again, only this time in a more mocking manner. His new plaything proved to be very entertaining.
