Jello, this is bullshit and you know it. Unlock my god damn thread.
1) The rules state that we have 3 calender days, not 72 hours.
2) Any rule changes shouldn't take place until the next round, just like the new boundary restrictions didn't effect the first round fights.
3) You changed the rule on the third day, without informing me your were doing it. I got no PM, no IM, no email despite the fact that I specifically told you I wasn't going to be checking the OOC very often.
4) I've already stated you shouldn't be officiating a fight with Vahn in it for the same reason Tac doesn't officiate my fights.
I don't want to have to take this to Moo or Clash, especially Clash because he doesn't particularily enjoy being bugged about the tournament, but I will.

The rule is 3 days, 72 hours. Remember how before, we were going off of the time of the last post? That's because it's the rule. Just because I said REPEATEDLY that I was giving leeway because I didn't want people to time out, I ALSO added EVERY TIME I said it that I would close fights if people requested that their fight be closed when the time was up. Vahn requested that the fight be closed if the time was up. I get on once or twice a day and check the fights if I have time, you were over, and hell, you posted in another fight yesterday. The RULE is 72 hours. Just because I've been VERY NICE about it doesn't mean that I'm not allowed to ENFORCE IT. I am very forgiving, and I don't like to see fights end by timing out, but I've said repeatedly that if people request that fights be closed after 3 days, I will do it. Just like I've said that if people request (and agree on) an extention to the time limit, it will be given. You never requested an extension, and he requested that the rule be enforced because you've repeatedly kept him waiting for almost a week. There are no grounds for you to even attempt to wave 'bias' at this, it's black and white.

No, it doesn't. I've checked.
In fact, we've even had this issue come up before. Dreslin tried it on Gelmax and Moo said no.
And it doesn't change the fact that a ruling was being made without the knowledge of a person you could have easily gotten ahold of.
Fyi, I didn't post in that fight yesterday, check the date.

It WAS around midnight on Wednesday. Regardless of whether ot was made Wednesday or Thursday, you could have easily made a post in the other fights since you were hanging around here long enough to make that one, right? If you're having issues getting on, then you should have contacted someone about it so we could issue an extension. However, taking 3 days to make a post despite that you've been on every day is the single reason why you shouldn't be bitching. You went over the limit. Repeatedly. Despite that you're perfectly capable of making a post at least every other day, right? I get nonstop thanks the last time that I moved things in order to get this thing going. I close two fights because the people who hang around here all day didn't post in them and there's nothing but bitching? I think not. You had 3 days. This rule applies to EVERYONE.

Okay, so I've had a bit of time to cool off, so I offer you a compromise. Don't close my fight with Vahn, and I'll accept a 24-hour time limit on all the rest of my fights. That way if I hold up the tournament any more you get 4 for the price of 1.

God damn it, he still hasn't posted.. alright, I'd prefer to have my match closed. The only reason this guy wasn't called on a DQ last time, was because he made a post prior which said he'd be posting later on; I could pseudo-understand that. But now, it's heading towards eight days, and not so much as a PM going, "Hey, ya know? I'm not able to post!".
No hard feelings to Cleric Pei, I just prefer to kep things.. punctual, at least.

I also find it humorous how my opponent surpassed the 3-day limit with every post he's made, and how each time, I've been told a staff member'd "get to it", after voicing that I didn't wish to wait 3 days.. every single time.
And how, everytime, he'd post the 4th or 5th day afterwards [note that I am taking time zones into consideration, Gaia's is 6 hours ahead of my own,] and it's like the guy going past his limit just... never happened. Where as, in current matches being argued over, one can post after the 72 hour limit and BOOM HEADSHOT - they're disqualified! domokun Makes the utmost sense to me.
I don't really give a damn, but my point is: I think the ruling should be, unless the contestants in a match say "Hey, if this goes more than 3 days, I don't want the other guy DQ'd! lol!", than we should assume the 3-day rule.
No exceptions, which there have been without prior-notification. No "well, it was cloooose to 3 days, so it still ok-"
At the end of 72 hours, if a postee has not made a post [start of the match withheld,] that postee should be disqualified. Those're the damned rules, and your occasional leniences, Jello - while nice - are what's causing our current arguements now. =P

Also, in case you missed my last post on the matter, Jello: It has been 7 days since my last post in Omi Barsait versus Number 66 in Barton Branch. In about three hours, it'll have been eight days; the topic's still open, aaaaand, I wouldn't be surprised if Cleric Pei suddenly siezes this chance to post and expect to carry on [as he has before,]- which, you've seemed to either not acknowledge, or allow to occur before. Mind.. closin' the ol' topic there?

Within the 3-day posting period after my post (I think was the 2nd day), Binatica contacted me that I misposted (I accidently used her character name instead of my guy's for the action, which I then corrected). Just Saying in case it factor's into the argument any.
