Just realized that my oh-so-annoying problem with my internet connection may prevent me from joining in on the NWNing, since I'd randomly disconnect fairly often. I'm going to see what I can do to fix it, though, so I can join in. This might mean getting a small wireless router for school, since it's the ethernet port on my computer that sucks.

Daihouou Streamjumper Skizzors Streamjumper So... if any of you guys have NWN (and the expansions), and are interested in dropping the 8 bucks or so for Infinite Dungeons, we can all play it together... using one person's machine as the host. Or we could look for a PW server and start playing there with the stuff people already have. I'm looking for a new server because Dreu Noctem really is a fun server, but the way it is set up makes quite a few of the classes I'd like to play next to impossible. The sheer amount of mobs there makes a lot of rogue based characters crazy hard to play, and there's an awful lot of crit-immune stuff and things that will see through stealth like it wasn't even there. I also really hated the incredible predominance of arcane casters in plate mail. And to be honest, one of the builds I used in the OC that I really wanna try in a PW is a hardline druid/shifter mix that uses all the forms efficiently rather than focusing on one or another to exclusion. And I really don't like DN's shifter forms at all. But I also wanna see if this character can cover a secondary party precombat support position in addition to being a flexible combat platform. So I'll be looking around for another PW server to check out... lemme know if any of you are interested. It was fun as all hell last time, so I'm up for it. I think I may have to reinstall the game, though.. I won't be able to do much if you start playing anytime before the 12th-ish since I'll be in Florida. But if everyone's serious to play again, I am too. What do you mean by expansionS, though? Would it not be enough to have the base game I was playing with last time and this one expansion? Mentioning the expansions is mainly for clarifying things to people who bought Neverwinter Nights, Shadows of Udrentide, and Hordes of the Underdark as they were coming out... rather than packaged together like how you, Mala, and a few others got em. The new expansion is Infinite Dungeons and is a decent single player/multi-player co-op/multi-player competitive sandbox dungeon crawl... though heavy on the hack and slash. Until the 12th we'd probably be trying out servers and establishing a base presence in the one of our choice. I'll probably begin testing some of the ones I'm curious about this weekend. I'm figuring that the bulk of our crew would like a RP-medium to light (casual and preferred rather than required, medium magic, medium to high xp, some quests, plenty of zones, and some incentives for party play. Does inf. dungeons add anything else that might be necessary? Necessary to online play? Nope. As a matter of fact it adds nothing that I know of that can be used by anything but itself. I suggest it mainly as an idea if we can't find a PW server we all like, or just want to do some AG only playing. Skizz, I highly suggest it for the enjoyment it has given me when I don't feel like dealing with the plot of the original games or just feel like some good quick fun with existing characters... but don't worry about needing it just to play with the rest of us. We can indeed play using it, but if there's a server out there we all like, that might be the better way to go.

Well, if you can get one for relatively cheap, then I'd say its probably worth it just to keep from the disconnects... Or look into snagging a new Ethernet card, depending on the prices there.

Snagging a new card for my computer's another possibility, though I don't know much about how I'd replace it in my laptop. I'll have a look at wireless routers sometime in the next few days to see if I can find one for relatively cheap. That being said, NWN (and now Infinite Dungeons) are installed on my external hard drive, so theoretically, I can use another computer to play if it comes to that.

Peppermint Elf TOWNHOUSE... GET!! scream heart
It's HUUuuuge. Much larger than any place I've ever lived. It has central heating/ac, a dishwasher, washer/drier, and a cable hook up in the kitchen (in case walking to the living room is just too much of a hassle xd ). It's right next to a playground. The only downside is that a rooster and 2 chickens live across the street. That might get annoying. sweatdrop
(The lady who showed us the house said that the heating is "ambient". She said that it means that the floors are heated and the heat radiates up from the floor. Seems weird to me. Does this mean that slippers are obsolete in new house? eek ) Sounds really nice!! Ambient heating is really interesting. A friend of our family's built a house that has that. She said it's really nice too! If it were me, I'd probably still use slippers though. I like comfort. whee
