Th'fight'll end once it starts....so to speak... > >;; ...Deity tried the offensive game for a good long while without much of it being returned, and he's sorta tired o'that, so...that's why the fight still hasn't really taken off yet.

Deity's fights generally take a long while anyway...but they usually include actual combat, while this one includes Malazar sitting and Deity sitting because Malazar's sitting because Deity's sitting because Malazar's sitting..... ::trails off::

So... I gotta post by tomorrow sometime, except I still have the time exemption, though I have been managing to keep within the 3 day limit anyhow.

I'll probably do it tonight actually. But I think at this point I'm just tired of comparing powers of a uber power I was forced into and this dude who can do anything, and is now making... dwarven metals I've never heard of?

Yeah... so I'm gonna tone it down a little and pretend that the ceasing of energy consumption would actually allow Rivven to get back in charge again instead of the beastie.

Honestly, if I keep fighting with nothing I can target, and the entire world mutating itself to help this guy, how much longer is it all going to last?

Speaking of three days.. tis been past a full week now since my topic's last post. Should I be prepared to wait more? =P

Jesus, Jello, I can barely remember what day it is but I can still manage to get the tournament post times right, so what the hell's your excuse? You locked both of my remaining fights, neither of which had timed out; one which had last been posted in on Tuesday (meaning today is day 3) and one which had last been posted in on Wednesday (meaning today is day 2).

You were over 9 hours on that one and your opponent wanted it closed.

The other one, you were over by maybe 6 or so, 12 now.

Like I've been saying all along: I close them as I see them, and I actually went looking today since the topic was brought up. I closed EVERY fight that went over, not just yours.

@ Omi: Say the word, seeing as you've been waiting like a week and requested earlier that the thing be finished up.

Explain to me how the ******** Wednesday to Friday is over the limit? It's two ******** days! And I thought it'd been agreed going over by a few hours wasn't going to be a big deal, especially when I don't usually get on Gaia before 8pm EST anymore (fun fact: you locked the fight at approx. 7pm while I first logged on today at 9pm)? I'm tryin' to stay lucid long enough to do the posts I need to do.

EDIT: I have been thinking about forfeiting a couple of annoying fights to lessen the load, but that's ultimately my call, as is everything else related as long as I don't break the agreed-upon regulations (which I haven't). Sorry if I'm being a d**k, but considering tournament posts usually keep me up a half-hour later than I'd like to be up all on their own, and considering even just dicking around over this is putting me in that same period as usual since I'm damn tired and you showed up just before I was ready to log off for the night, screw that.

Sunday to Wednesday, sugar.

Sunday. Monday. Tuesday. Wednesday 9 hours after the post time limit.

There are no agreements. There are announcements. The announcement was that I didn't feel like being a d**k about it, so I'd be slack in enforcing the things, unless someone specifically requested it.

It was specifically requested.

After that I went through the forums and closed up all the other ones (except the barton bracket, I just finished that now).

You had two days before that to get on, pushing it to the 3 day limit every time isn't really a strong argument for leniency on when you do go over. It's like saying "Because I drag it out as long as I can and just barely make the deadline, I shouldn't be punished for going over".

On a side note, I only get on at the computer lab in the middle of the day for an hour, or for an hour around midnight. Therefore, I do things when I'm available. I was available today to lock threads, so I did, because I didn't have anyone screaming in my ear about something else at the time.

Wait, wait, wait. WHAT THE ********> You closed that because I previously went over by a few hours - despite having made the post long before my opponent brought it up? I thought the point of the time limit was to make sure we keep posting? As long as the post got there, I don't see what the ******** deal is. He in fact acknowledged that my post was there fourteen hours before he made that thread.

So, basically, even if I'm not going over the deadline, you still think that even getting my posts in before the deadline is still too slow? Then why not change the deadline to accurately reflect the time you're actually going to penalize people for? I'm sure I wouldn't mind getting to bed at 1:30 every day because it takes me an hour and a half to type out every goddamn post at once because I can't ******** concentrate when I manage to get on to post. rolleyes Believe it or not, I made the minimum number of posts each day to save my opponents trouble due to misreading posts or the like. And even then I've still made a few flawed posts that were worked out privately with my opponents.

I appear to be complaining in a thread right now, which is good enough for me. Considering the great communication we get going all the time and the weight on my eyes pushing through the mental static, I'm not really inclined to read whatever the hell I just quoted long enough to comprehend its entire reasoning but I'm pretty sure it's stupid.
