Nodding slightly, he looked around. He knew what stairs were, but not where they were obviously. His hand going back to find hers, he kept quiet the whole time. Not ignoring her, just being quiet as not to be rude.

Gently leading him to the stairs, she smiled.. This place was their playground, and a playground it would be..

"The people will be coming back soon.....the sooner this mees is cleaned up, the better. Rotting corpses aren't good for anyone....."

Cocking her 9mm, Echo walked carefully down the sidewalk. She saw nothing moving, but death often brought nasty things that did move. Something rustled behind her. She turned quickly, and tripped, landing on something sickeningly mushy. Scrambling to keep herself as far away from the corpse, she uttered a soft scream. The deceased's eyes were open. "How creepy. That's just sick." she complained.
She walked further, much more cautiously, until she came around a corner, and found a bench, that wasn't destroyed. Just sitting there, out in the open, next to corpses and debris. "Too perfect." Walking over to it, she put her gun away, and layed on the bench, curling up into a ball. She soon fell into an un-easy slumber.

Haruko returns to the death filled city, quite unaware that there was a disease that could affect immortals. He looks from body to body with a look of distaste... He had left when the flood had begun to come in, and was back now. The psychic attacks had stopped and now he was free to move between his normal and his 'demonic' form at will, for Haruko considered his human appearence to be the one that most reflected him. "Pointless Carnage... caused by such a simple thing as the weather..."

Amongst the debris and rotting corpses littering the streets, a heavily modified black SUV meandered it's way carefully through the wreckage. Behind the wheel was the grim faced William "Night Hunter" Jackson, the leader of the New York Hunter Group. In the seats behind him were two of his Hunters, Lydia Aidly and Bridget Sommers. For Will, this was his first time outside the walls of Haven since he'd been shot a couple of weeks ago. Being in a wheelchair and later a pair of leg braces didn't make for a good chance of survival while out hunting after all. But this mission they were on was far too important for him to sit safely on his rear in Haven and wait for his legs to heal fully. These three had a missing Huntress to find.
About two hours ago one of their Hunters, Kerrigan, had been brought into the medical facilities of Haven badly injured. Most prominent amongst these injuries were severe blood loss and deep bite marks on her neck. You didn't have to be as experienced a Hunter as Will was to recognize that Kerrigan had mixed it up with a vampire and lost. While on the operating table, Kerrigan had flatlined, and nothing Dr. Gail Hunter tried could restart her heart. Just as the female doctor was about to declare the time of death, Kerrigan's body had spasamed off the table, and the Huntress who was officially deceased had gotten to her feet and raced out of Haven into the night. So now they had a Hunter who had become a freshly turned vamp running around the city, confused and terrified, and they had to find her and help her before she had the chance to hurt herself or others.
Of course, with the city in the sort of shape that it was this really wasn't a good time to be out and about, but what choice did they have? They hadn't stopped Hunter operations while the city was flooded and they wouldn't stop them now that it had become a place filled with disease. Reaching up to make sure that the breathing mask he wore was airtight and firmly in place, Will turned back to make sure that the two that had accompanied him on this mission were doing alright. "Lydia, Bridget, you've got your masks on securely?"
"Affirmative."
"Yes Will."
"Good. Alright, you know the drill. Find Kerrigan, subdue her if nescessary, and bring her back to Haven for aid so that she can adjust to her new condition. And remember, she'll be hungry since she;s freshly turned so be careful. Now for the checklist. Tasers and tranquilizer guns?"
"Check."
"Motion sensors?"
"Check."
"Industrial strength restraints?"
"Check."
"Sedatives?"
"Check."
"Medical blood?"
"Check."
Will nodded in satisfaction. They were as prepared to deal with Kerrigan when they found her as they could be. Careful to keep the windows rolled up and their masks in place, the Hunters drove slowly through the night, searching for their missing comrade.

Haruko sees a mortal being set upon by a pair of crazed cultists. Haruko had seen their kind before, they were sure that the world was ending or that satan was rising or something else apocalyptical, but Haruko ignores them. Something had changed in him. He was cold, his ideals of honor had faded. He was more a part of the modern world, and yet he still used his sword.

Echo stirred, she thought she sensed familiarity, but dismissed it almost at once. *Besides*, she thought, *I haven't seen him since this stupid flood came..* She sat up, and opened her eyes blearily. Getting to her feet, she walked down the street aways, hoping to find who she had been hoping to see. After a few blocks, she shrugged, and drug her feet back to the bench. She layed back down, her eyes growing steadily tearful. "I miss you, Haruko.." She whispered, as she curled up tightly, a glazed look in her eyes.

When William stated he had to go find Kerrigan he never said anything about her being a vampire; she felt that knot in her stomache when she was angry. Still she had promised to aid in her retrieval and she kept her word. The streets were deserted and the smell of death permeated the air even thru the SUV....it was going to be a mess trying to clean things up. She mentally went over all her inventory of weaponary and equipment... Damn it she was more prepared to kill not capture. This was going to be a challenge and they might not be able to take her back"alive"... she had a wry smile on her face.
Bridget spoke to William "What happens if she can't be taken or brought back.. do we put her down?" Bridget looked at William thru the rear-view mirror and try to see where he was coming from. "We should try her old haunts first... she would feel safer on old turf that she knew and use to her advantage." "If that fails I'm sure she knows where the blood banks are and will try to hit one of those.... the blood should be useless now with there being no power to keep the blood fresh; but she would look anyways."
