Daihouou Peppermint Elf Kinetic Dream LunaInverse Did you know that Stream and I would be on staff? The fact that we both ended up working the Gaia panel wasn't planned, but it was fun anyways. Too bad about your friend, though. I would have laughed my a** off. If you want to try again next year, we're probably working as merchandise staff again. Send your minion to the Dealer's Room. Nabs found us easily enough. xd Stream and I were talking to a friend who was waiting in line for the Masquerade, and then I feel someone tapping on my shoulder and asking 'Are you Luna?" I was thrown for a second, because I'm like "Huh?" (I was wearing my staff T-shirt at the time, so we usually had people asking us questions), and then I remembered what my Gaia name was. rofl So I said "Yeah, I'm Luna." And she's all "I'm Nabs!" Lots of lulz and hugs all around. No, that's probably why she missed. xd Anyway, sounds like a good time, glad you three were able to meet up. 3nodding

I was foraging for food, opened the freezer to have a look for food and caught a quick peek at a bag of pasta with broccoli in a garlic and olive oil sauce.
Somehow, my brain picked out the Cs, Ls, and the sauce. I had to double take to be sure I didn't have pasta in clack sauce in my freezer. gonk

Dr. Fomite xd I've always loved the relationship between CC and Destro. They're so cute. They betrayed each other constantly, but somehow they kept ending up together again. ... The brainwashing machine was a pretty cheap way of finally getting the gang back together, though. sweatdrop
Then there was the soap opera-esque, "He died! ...Oh, wait, he's alive again. ...Whoops, now he's dead. Oh. Alive." Granted, that seems to be pretty big with comics, in general. And I hated the Fred-CC, so I was glad to get the original back, even if his return story sounded it came right out of Monty Python. "I'm not dead yet! ... I'm getting better!"
This really makes me want to dig all my comics out again. X3 I'm sure I can rediscover all kinds of absurdity with relative ease. Yes, CC & Destro are the ultimate odd couple. I can definitely go for retconning the whole Baroness only turned evil because she thought Snake Eyes killed her brother and everything that followed bit. I don't mind Storm Shadow as being completely mental, he was a bit too good when he was on the Joes side. They just completely ignored the whole Billy brainwash thing. (Oh yeah... I suppose the first 4 issues of Frontline sucked because they were brainwashy. I forgot about them.) I loved when Cobra Commander reappeared in the comics, instead of horrible mecha suit Fred VII. It was both funny and somehow totally badass. He looked good in the dark digs too. (Sure helmet CC means you have to stare into your own face, but mask CC makes for awesome art.) Oh that's one thing the comics has over the cartoon - Major Bludd, poet wannabe - rhymes like Roadblock, but with waaaay more purple prose. xd Quote: I love Roadblock. crying Nothing against Heavy Duty, but I couldn't understand why everyone seemed to pick him for inclusion over a lot of the older characters, either. He's got some interesting issues to explore but rather than do that intelligently, they tend to just lay on the angst. (Someone joked we would all find out Baroness' baby was his.) The cartoon version did some pretty cool things - like be healed of radiation poisoning by some old man in the woods with some herbs... breakdance his way out of a Cobra speakeasy... or be the only one to notice that the alien invaders 'got milk.' I thought you would like the cartoon version because he had a dog. (In DD, when Alpine and Bazooka meet up with Rock n' Roll and Mutt... someone says something along the lines of "Oh here comes Rock n' Roll & Mr. Grumpy." I thought to myself "Why would Mutt be Mr. Grump.... OH." I was so upset I put down the issue and didn't come back to it for a day. I mean, I know they were vaguely trying to be real time at that point... but still. That was just wrong.) Quote: Woot. Ordered. 4laugh Only $25 after shipping and I got two alternate covers of the first issue, the first/only issue of the '04 follow-up and the Cobra Reborn issue with the neato CC cover. heart I didn't know there was a follow-up. You'll have to tell me how it is. I think I could cludge together another mycomicshop (or as Diffy likes to call it: My Comics Hop!) order.

Brainwashing is blah! I was pretty okay with Storm Shadow in the DD stuff, though. I liked 'im wacky and back on the right (wrong?) side again.
Fred. Hated Fred. CC is win. I've always thought the helmet was sexier. crying Still, I could deal with the hood so long as it was real CC again. heart The return was pretty badass once I got over the explanation. Nothing like locking up all your enemies (and traitorous allies) and burying them in a volcano. He's nutty, but he's got all kinds of style.
BLUDD. I can't believe I forgot about his horrible poetry. I love how everyone made fun of it. xd He was awesome. Yeah. I'd probably like comic Snakes a lot more if I could take that approach.

[Dill] Shoujo Phoenix Eh. Gaia's too big to be brought down by raids. I doubt it'll be like the "uproar" over WTF hats...which was about nothing. Here's the thing, though. Most raids, such as the ORLY raid, were unmotivated masses. The subeta raids were not. Subeta had desecrated an icon of internet culture, for profit. Seems like a familiar situation, wouldn't you agree? Sure, Gaia's far more secure than Subeta ever was. However, I would never knock down the chan's as being powerless. If they want this raid to happen, it will. It won't bring Gaia down, but it hopefully will send a message as I said.
Or, Gaia can shrug off whatever Chan wants to threaten, Chan can do it, then give up five minutes later because they'll realize it's useless. domokun

I want to get the new items baaaaadd but I'm going to wait a bit. Some of them I might buy with gold, others I may not..I don't know. I can definitely afford to get them, but I actually want to wait until they're all up on tektek so I can see a complete list of all the new hats and stuffs.
