Though Sil was not panicking in the situation, she found herself on high alert as the thugs surrounded them and she struggled for a moment with what to do. When it came to fighting, it was very rare that she was in a hand-to-hand combat situation with a man who wasn't going to split in half and become a monstrous poison shooting death weapon. At first that was exactly what she had suspected, but as the moments passed by and they didn't morph into the definition of hell, she realized that they were actually and honestly being mugged.
"You've got to be kidding me," Sil muttered, her eyes tracking around the circle of men with her lips pressed tight. If it had been her alone the situation wouldn't have been very hard to handle, but with Kiah there with her she couldn't just bolt nor could she be rash. It was one thing to get herself hurt, and another entirely to get Kiah injured. "Just killed the feel-good buzz of my evening, you bastards..."
Sil knew she couldn't use her innocence, not against humans no matter how misguided they were. While she never mentioned it, she saw Innocence as both a gift and a curse God had bestowed on them for a specific purpose, and to use it against man created in his image would be nothing short of blasphemy. She cracked her knuckles gently, preparing to kick some a** vanilla style calmly and collectively... and then a shot rang out and a man crumpled to clear a path.
"... Oh my God, did you just shoot him?" Sil cried obliviously, part of her horrified and the other mystified. Kiah had jumped straight into action on that one, and though it wasn't the route Sil would have chosen she was forced to quickly jumped into action. At the sight of his fallen comrade, one of the other men stepped to block the path that the two women might have used for an escape, drawing his weapon.
At the sight of the gun, the quick footed young woman's heart rate exploded and she flew at the man with the intent of disarming him before he could fire. With a swift movement, she swung her balled up fist to land a firm round house punch to the jaw bone, the contact of it reverberating from his hard face through her knuckles and arm in an unpleasant ache without her Innocence to take the brunt of it. As he reeled back she took the opportunity to thrust her knee into his bulbous gut and as he doubled out of breath, Sil tangled her fingers in the hair on the back of his head and slammed their assailant's face straight into her knee leaving the spatter of blood on her pants. As he fell over onto the ground with his nose bleeding profusely, his gun skittered from his limp hand across the ground smoothly, coming to rest some feet away. Before the action was even complete, gunshots from the two remaining men began to ring out as the two women who were easy targets became a conceivable threat.
"Kiah, run!" Sil shouted, jumping over the second crumpled man. As it went, getting shot by a plain old gun may have done nothing to Akuma, but a well placed bullet could easily slay a human Exorcist. Even with her Innocence there was very little she could do without getting Kiah to safety first. Too much was at risk. The alley they had run into wasn't very long, but now that bullets were whizzing by them it felt like it was literally an eternity to get to the end of it. "Quick, get around the corner and keep running!"

((Jack: I'm pretty sure that was my influence. No-one is safe when my dark side is loose... even more true when she's having fun... THIS is why Allen fears for his life whenever i get a new story idea. He rarely lives.
Kiah: Sorry, but the little blond foxy rather likes being in one liece.

Kiah's mouth was set in a grim line at Sil's obvious surprise and horror. She'd been contemplating it for the little time they had to think, and decided that was the best course of action, even if it did make her feel sick to hurt another human being. While Sil started beating on one man, Kiah started toward their intended escape route, pistol whipping the only other man in their way and breaking into a run, feeling the air from the bullets going by her while they ran.
"I'm going as fast as I can!" Slightly behind Sil, Kiah thought she would go insane from the suspense, hoping against hope that they'd get out of that long alleyway unharmed. She could feel panic welling up in her chest when she saw a bullet come within two inches of the young woman's head, positioning herself directly behind her. She'd thought they were home free when they'd reached the corner. At the last second, all she could feel was a piercing pain in her left side, causing her to cry out in a strangled gasp. Kiah ran for a few seconds more before she went down, rolling into the snow and leaving a crimson smear in her wake. Every attempt to heave herself up caused her agonizing pain and the taste of blood in her mouth, so she stayed still, hoping that at least Sil had gotten away while her vision started to fade.
