"Umm exsuse me for speaking out but..Your the pharoh..Can you just tell him to leave you alone and that you will when you feel the time is ready? You lost your daughter. Any living being goes threw grief when they lose sombody they love...You should be able to grief for your daughter intill you feel your ready to move on..." Nanu said thoughtfully.
Rei couldent help but giggle as the womens eyes widen "You know he wont harm you unless you do somthing stupid..."

It took the woman a little bit to find her voice. "B-but... that's Bakura." She stuttered. "I don't know if it's true, but they say that even as a child he had slaughtered his former village and... and devoured the bodies, for nothing, not even bones, could be found. Only blood running through the streets, and he somehow just 'happened' to be the only one alive." Bakura's eyes narrowed and he growled; the subject of his village's slaughter was still a rather 'sore' subject, if you may, and he didn't like people saying things like that. He looked as though he was going to attack the trembling woman. "Yes, but Seto is very stubborn. He'd try other ways to get what he wants. Even as pharaoh, I cannot stop such a stubborn man, and I dislike having to take further measures." Atem bowed his head, his face shadowed.

Rei sighed. She knew it was a sore subject. "Like I said don't do or say anything stupid and you will be fine..."
"Oh.." nanu said softly. She wouldent know what to do,she was only a mere servent. "Well...you will know..In your heart..what the best thing to do is..."

"What's her name?" Bakura asked, not looking directly at the woman any longer. Akila blinked, and shrugged; she hadn't been told what it was. "Well?" He snapped at the woman, who jumped. "N-Nanu." The woman said after a moment's hesitation. Her eyes flickered to the side as she said this, and Bakura scowled. She was lying, he could tell. "Do you know who Bakura is?" Atem asked slowly, not raising his head.

Nanu blinked "Um...He's that theif...Correct?" she asked not sure of she was right. She never got outside the palace and nobody ever talked to her other than Isis. Her whole life was serving and cleaning.
Rei raised and eyebrow. She had staid with bakuralong enough to tell when a person was lying.

"Who are you really?" Bakura asked, studying the woman carefully. He had done without his red coat for today, since it was rather hot inside of the hut, and his muscles visibly tensed as he prepared himself. If this woman was some kind of spy from the palace, he would kill her without hesitation. When the thief saw her pause, trying to decide what to do, his eyes, a swirl of violet blue, grew sharper as he narrowed them, his lips pressing together in a tight line. "My patience is growing thin." The woman sighed, deciding to do her best at seeing how much mercy Bakura might have. She removed the cloth that veiled her face and slid the hood off of her head, shaking her black hair out on her shoulders. "I'm the Priestess Isis." She said, her head tilted towards the ground as she spoke, almost in a bow towards the pale-haired man before her. "I did not even mean to come across you. That was not what I had set off to do. I have been getting rather disturbing images from my Millennium Tauk, and needed to know what they meant. I was on my way to the village of Kul Elna, where I believe I may discover something." "Yes..." The weary pharaoh said, nodding his head. His multi-colored hair swayed slightly as he did this. The spiky locks that seemed so unnatural were much softer than they seemed, and were not held up by some kind of paste, but somehow stuck up like that on their own. "He has murdered many villagers from the places he robbed, has stolen very much from the royal tomb of my father, and dragged the former pharaoh's mummy around the town. He is a great pain to me, a thorn in my side. He causes mayhem at almost any chance he gets, and has a deep hatred towards me and the palace in general. He was the one who had taken Mkhait-- my daughter, she had decided to change her name-- from the safety of the palace." Atem was silent, his lips parted in a faint sigh. "But I... I have done something very terrible to him recently. And for that I feel as though I should seek him out and apologize. Not very wise, because I'm sure he would willingly slit my throat if he gets close enough."

"Oh..." Nanu said not sure of what to say "Well..you should do what you think is best..."

"Nobody in the palace knew where he was, though." Isis said, looking rather surprised that she hadn't been killed instantly. "If I did know where he was, I would have... This must be an action by fate." "Why are you people talking about me like I'm not here?" Bakura said with a sigh, wondering why they kept saying things like 'him' and stuff. "I'm sorry..." Isis mumbled, wondering why Bakura didn't seem as intimidating and full of hatred as he was when she saw him during his brief 'visits' to the palace, and how the pharaoh spoke of him. "Well, now that I am with you... May I ask you some things?" Bakura arched an eyebrow, looking rather curious of what she, a person who didn't know of his life, could ask him, so he could test how much the 'Millennium Tauk' had showed her. "You were a child when your village was slaughtered. I know you had not been the one to do it; it's but a rumor and you cannot trust village peoples' rumors. You were hiding behind some kind of crate, was it? Your parents had reacted quickly, as thieves often are known for, to protect you. Yet they hardly helped; you had to watch, had to hear as everyone you knew were killed, yes?" She didn't seem to notice the various expressions passing over Bakura's face. To be reminded of this, in such detail, especially by an outsider, who knew nothing of what he had gone through, nothing. She spoke of it carelessly, as though it was nothing but some story she had been told and was passing along. His pupils began to shrink, becoming nothing but pinpricks in the blue-purple color of his eyes.

"Anyway, it was you I had seen, I'm now sure of it." Isis said. "I want to know why those people had been killed. That might help me find out why my Millennium Tauk is showing me those things." A small smile slowly came over Bakura's face. There was no trace of happiness in his eyes, however, and the smile that was on his face was rather dark. "You want to know why they were killed?" He whispered, leaning forward. "They were killed so the pharaoh could have his precious Millennium items made. They were killed for the 'good of Egypt,' to protect the land. But nobody cares when a miserable village of thieves is killed, do they? No, of course not. And this would have been forgotten, just ignored. Of course, since a single child was left behind, it continues to live inside of him. Every single day of his life, he must remember what had happened then."

Bakura wrenched his hand from Rei's grip to fold them tightly across his chest, glaring at Isis now. He no longer seemed to have the threat of having a seizure, but was still rather tensed up and angry. Isis was speechless at this. One hand had gone up to her Millennium Tauk, her fingertips gentry resting on the cool gold, trying to wrap her mind around the fact that so many people had been sacrificed for those seven items, and that so few people knew of it. Did the pharaoh know? Would he, or was this going to be something Isis would have to tell him? "I-I'm sorry." She said softly, knowing that those words meant nothing to Bakura at the moment. Bakura seemed to relax slightly and she wondered if he was softer than she and the others at the palace believed. She cautiously stole a glance at his face, to try and read his expression, and frowned slightly when she saw his eyes. It was as though his pupils, which had been rather small before, had just vanished. His eyes seemed glazed over, a blank look on his face. She had seen this before... Where?

Bakura turned to glance at Rei, but he had no time at her. His blank eyes gazed in Isis's direction, unfocused. "Well well well... Why on earth would a stray priestess come here, of all places?" He asked, his voice echoed slightly by Seto's, the familiar cold smirk coming over his face. "This isn't like you, Isis. You should know better." His tone was scolding. "Wha-- Seto?!" Isis looked alarmed, and then she remembered the ability. She relaxed slightly, but still seemed a bit confused.
